The purposes of this study are to determine how playing golf can influence the general leisure satisfaction level of amateur golfers, and thus to provide basic information that may contribute to encouraging more people to play golf. To accomplish the goals of the study, a total of 250 questionnaires were distributed to a sample of golfers participating at a private golf range. After excluding incomplete or inadequate ones, 232 questionnaires(92.8%) were considered valid and used for the data analysis. Data analyses such as Frequency Analysis, One-way ANOVA, and t-tests were utilized to investigate research questions. Accordingly, following findings were derived from current study. First, statistical differences existed in psychological and social satisfaction in terms of gender. Second, statistical differences existed in physiological satisfaction in terms of marital status. Third, statistical differences existed in physiological satisfaction in terms of age. Fourth, statistical differences existed in psychological, resting and social satisfaction in terms of health status. Finally, statistical differences existed in psychological, resting, educational and social satisfaction in terms of hand cap level.

According to establishment of the right of regional self-government on the midst of political progress of Korea, people living in local areas is very much interested in regional economic development. Aims to national-wide development and growth has been more important than regional progress so far. However, at this moment, each local government makes an effort to develop natural resources it owns and touristic resources. For Gusipo/Dongho beach in Gochang area of Chonnabookdo, which is a special rias-style beach that has not been found in the world, broad mud flats appears at the ebb tide owing to the big difference between the flowing and the ebb. The reason that this beach is not well-known in summer time can not play in the water until the water is coming. However, if golf playing is available in mud flats, beautiful natural resources around this beach can be an excellent tourist product. In this research, we investigate the frequence of incoming/outgoing tide, the time and the scope the mud flat appears, the smoothness of swing using iron shot and fairway wood shot at the mud flat, and study local festivals associated with golf. From this research, golf playing at the mud flat can contribute to development of marine touristic resource, local festivals and experimental tourism.

This research aimed to analyze the effect of service quality of golf practice range on consumers' repurchase behavior. To reach this purpose, 410 persons who were participating 4 different golf practice ranges in Daegu city were sampled as subjects. For data processing, reliability, factor analysis, frequency analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and regression analysis were carried out using on SPSSWIN 15.0 statistical program. Results of the analysis could be summarized as follows. First, service qualities depends on the general characteristics of the subjects. Second, service qualities affecting consumer repurchase behavior included such variables as renew or oral communication.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of life style on golf participants' benefits sought. Respondents were 343 customers and sampled from 7 different golf driving ranges in Chungju city. Questionnaires were obtained using convenience sampling and self- administration method. Frequency analysis, independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression were used for data analysis. The results of this study were as follows: First, goal, self-development, superiority, brand of life style had a significant effect on place. Second, brand of life style had a significant effect on price. Third, fashion benefits, goal, self-development of life style had a significant effect on promotion. Forth, goal of life style had a significant effect on product.

The radius of swing path in backswing is so large and decreased in downswing through late hitting that the club head speed may increase abruptly by the conservation of angular momentum. The ideal angle condition of optimum distance and accuracy in driving is 45 degrees in downswing which is called 'slot swing'. A swing difference between the pros and the amateurs has been found that the pros' backswing angle is bigger than downswing angle while the amateurs' downswing is bigger than backswing. Thus most of the amateurs do not follow the 'slot swing' principle and LPGA pros' downswing angle have more deviation from the 45 angle standard than KPGA pros. The apparent difference between the pros and the amateurs in the gap of backswing angle and downswing angle may be deferred as the cause for the poor distance and accuracy problems of amateur golfers.

The purpose of the current study was to investigate the effects of variability of between elite golfers and novice golfers. Five elite golfers and five novice golfers participated in this study for the comparison. The 3D kinematic data were collected for each subject performing 10 trials of putts for skill level. The putting stroke was divided into 4 events such as address, back swing, impact and follow- through. In this study, it was assumed that there exist consistency difference between elite and novice golfers during putting. The performance variability: (a) was lower in elite golfers than in novice golfers in displacement and velocity of putt head, (b) was lower in elite golfers than in novice golfers in left and right of elbow and shoulder joint. From these it could be concluded that consistency can be very important in golf putting stroke.

This study was initiated to evaluate the growth characteristics of nine creeping bentgrass(Agrostis palustris Huds.) cultivars in spring. The results are as followings; In the green-up, CY2 was evaluated to the fastest cultivar among tested nine culivars, however, SR1020 was the lastest. CY2 followed by T1 > Penn A4 , Crenshaw, L93 > Penncross > Putter > Dominant > SR1020 in that order. Especially, the green- up of CY2 was begun from beginning of March when was below 5℃. The green-up of CY2 was completed within 65days, it was faster 2 weeks than that of SR1020(80 days) which was the last to green up. In result of the visual quality, CY2 showed the best visual quality the whole Spring. T1 and Crenshaw were also assorted with the high visual quality group whereas SR1020, Dominant and Penncross were included relatively low quality group. Visual quality of bentgrass cultivars was not significantly different from the middle of June. These results are expected to offer useful information for many golf course managers.
