Objectives: In view of the fact that the level of evaluation of hospital service quality, we will examine the extent to which empathy plays a mediating role in the impact of hospital service quality on hospital satisfaction. Methods: We want to verify the indirect effect as a parameter of empathy between hospital internal service quality and hospital satisfaction by SEM analysis. Results: The potential variables in which empathy plays a complete-mediated role in hospital satisfaction are reliability and responsiveness, and the potential variables that play a partial-mediated role are guaranteedness and assurance. Conversely, growth potential does not play a mediating role in hospital satisfaction, it only has a direct effect. Conclusions: This implies that no matter how good the quality of service inside the hospital is, in order to be connected to hospital satisfaction, a synergy will occur when there is sufficient mutual consensus between the internal customers of the hospital or between the internal customers and the external.

Objectives: This study aimed to identify differences in the impact of hospital workers' job satisfaction on turnover intention based on employment patterns. The study seeks to provide a baseline that can benefit hospital workforce operations. Methods: A total of 128 employees from five university and general hospitals in Busan were randomly selected. They were surveyed for seven days, from May 13th to 19th, 2020. The collected data were analyzed using frequency analysis, crosstabs, t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis using IBM SPSS. Results: First, there was a significant correlation between hospital workers' job satisfaction and turnover intention. Second, a difference in regular employee welfare, pride of non-regular employees, and job satisfaction with wages significantly impacted turnover intention. Conclusions: Through differentiated HR management, it is necessary to reduce turnover intention to attract more people.

Objectives: This study’s purpose was to identify the factors affecting recommendation intentions, achievement of the expected treatment results, and satisfaction of the patients who had experienced inpatient medical services. Methods: The data of 996 participants were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, regression using a medical service experience survey(2018-2019). Results: As regards the patient safety experiences, the higher their education levels, their health insurance and absence of chronic diseases showed a significant positive experience. Their recommendation intentions and satisfaction with medical services had a positive effect on their satisfaction with the services of doctors and nurses, and their use of medical institutions increased. The achievement of the expected treatment results had a positive effect as the subjective health status, satisfaction with doctors services and use of medical institutions were higher. Conclusions: To improve recommendation intentions, achievement of the expected treatment results and patient satisfaction levels, various measures should be taken to improve the services of doctors, nurses, medical institutions.

Objectives: We examined the relationship between work values and employment status of nursing graduates. Methods: We accessed the Graduate Occupational Mobility Survey 2015–2018 and on data of 1,035 nursing graduates. Results: Work environmental values were considered more important by hospital nurses (OR = 1.77, 95% CI = 1.01–3.11) and the unemployed (OR = 2.57, 95% CI = 1.25–5.30) compared to nurses working outside hospitals. Conversely, when they were older(OR = 0.87, 95% CI = 0.77–0.98), had an experience of preparing for the civil service test (OR = 0.24, 95% CI = 0.13–0.43), and considered career development values more important (OR = 0.48, 95% CI = 0.29–0.80), the likelihood of working as a nurse in a hospital (compared to outside hospitals) was significantly lower. Conclusions: Nursing schools should provide career counseling that allows students to recognize and follow work values. Furthermore, hospitals should encourage the professional development of nurses.

목적: 본 연구는 프로젝트 기반 학습을 증진하 기 위하여, 새로운 온라인 교수학습방법인 서비스 디자인 프로세스에 대한 지침을 개발, 촉진 및 제 공하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. 방법: 4학년 간호 학생 72명을 대상으로 2주씩 4회의 PEN-SD(환자 경험기반 간호서비스설계) 과정을 진행하였다. 결 과: 오리엔테이션, 팀 빌딩 및 발견, 정의, 개발 및 전달(4D) 단계에서 지침 및 가이드 질문이 제공되 어 프로젝트를 성공적으로 이끌었으며, 10개의 프 로젝트 주제가 확인되었다. 이 경험은 학생들의 협 력적, 공감적, 창의적 문제 해결 능력의 개발을 향 상시켰다. 결론: 제안된 지침은 교수자가 PEN-SD 프로세스를 효과적으로 이끄는 데 도움이 될 수 있다. 또한 제공된 지침은 건강 직업 교육에서 온 라인 팀 프로젝트 학습을 위한 강력한 도구로 활 용될 수 있다.

Objectives: This study aimed to develop, facilitate, and provide guidelines for a service design process using new online teaching and learning techniques to promote project-based learning. Methods:  A patient experience-based nursing service design (PEN-SD) course comprised of four two-week sessions was conducted with 72 fourth-grade nursing students. Results: Guidelines and guide questions were provided during the orientation, team building, and the discover, define, develop, and deliver(4D) stages to ensure project success. As a result of this study, ten project themes were identifieded. Thise experience enhanced the development of students’ collaborative, empathetic, and creative problem-solving capabilities. Conclusions: The suggested guidelines can help instructors lead the PEN-SD process effectively, which can be a powerful tool for online team project learning in health profession education.

Objectives: This study’saim was to examine the factors influencing depression symptoms among widowed elders, for which. it use the Korean Longitudinal Study of Ageing(KLoSA 7th) dataset. The participants were 1,299 widowed elders aged 65 years and over. Methods: A multiple regression model was used to study the factors influencing depression symptoms among widowed elders. Results: The results showed significant depression in widowed elders; relationships with: children satisfaction(B=-0.045, p<0.001), frequency of meetings with friends(B=-0.105, p<0.001), health status satisfaction(B=-0.205, p<0.001), and economic activity status(B=-0.061, p=0.021). In addition, the male and female groups showed significant relationships between depression symptoms and children satisfaction(B=-0.060, p<0.001; B=-0.043, p<0.001), as well as health status satisfaction(B=-0.046, p=0.002; B=-0.029, p<0.001). Conclusions: This study suggests that social support and economic poverty are important protective factors against depression in widowed elders.

Objectives: This study aims to examine the relationships between smartphone usage levels, health literacy, self-efficacy, and self-care agency in an elderly community population and to identify their effects on the elderly population’s self-care agency. Methods: The study participants included the elderly attending a senior academy and senior welfare centers in N City. Data were collected for the period from August 5, 2020 to September 10, 2020. Data analysis was conducted by using frequency and percentage, mean and SD, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffé test, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis by means of the SPSS 25.0 Program. Results: Variables that had a significant effect on the self-care agency of the participants included self-efficacy(β=.521, p<.001) and female(β=-.176, p=.006) of general characteristics. This regression model exhibited good fit and the explanatory power was 43.2%. Conclusions: Based on the findings, self-efficacy was identified as the principal variable influencing the self-care agency of the elderly population considered in this study.

Objectives: This study aims to identify basic data for improving the vaccination rate by examining the relationship between age-specific demographic and socioeconomic characteristics and influenza vaccination for adults aged 19 to under 64 using the 7th National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. Methods: 13,104 adults aged 19 to 64 years were selected as participants using the 7th National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2016-2018), and the elderly 65 years and older were excluded from the analysis as subjects for free national influenza vaccination. Data analysis was performed using SPSS Statistics 23.0 program. Results: The vaccination rate of women was higher than that of men in the three groups, and there were differences according to marital status for those 49 and occupation by occupation in the group under 40. It was found that there was a difference in the vaccination rate according to the presence of disease, education level, and economic activity status. Conclusions: To increase the influenza vaccination rate, it is necessary to manage the variables that affect influenza vaccination in each of the age groups.

Objectives: This study examined the emotional intelligence, ego-resiliency, communication competence and satisfaction among nursing college students. Methods: Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent-samples t-test, ANOVA, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: Satisfaction with major showed significant differences according to gender, age, grade, reason for department selection. Satisfaction with major had a statistically positive correlation with emotional intelligence, ego-resiliency and communication competence. Stepwise multiple regression analysis showed that predictors of satisfaction with major were emotional intelligence and communication competence. Results showed that aptitude and female gender accounted for 44.9% of the variance. Conclusions: It is necessary to identify factors that affect satisfaction with major and develop a program that assesses motivation for undertaking a nursing major, to reinforce admission policies.

Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the effect of the deterioration of the household economy due to COVID-19 on adolescents’ suicidal ideation. Methods: Using data from the 16th Adolescent Health Behavior Survey (KYRBS), 2020, this cross-sectional study included 54,948 adolescents. We evaluated the deterioration of household economic conditions and suicidal thoughts due to COVID-19 through subjective, non-face-to-face online interviews. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, chi-square tests, and logistic regression. Results: The overall prevalence of suicidal thoughts in the study population was 10.9%. People whose household economy deteriorated due to COVID-19 had more suicidal thoughts than those whose economy did not deteriorate. Worse (aOR=1.548, 95% CI=1.437 –1.667, very worse (aOR=2.489, 95% CI=2.242–2.763) based on no economic deterioration. Conclusions: Rather than relying on self-reports of suicidal ideation due to COVID-19, objective measurement and research is needed on this subject.
