The objective of this study is to identify the relationship between nursing organizational culture and job satisfaction and turnover intention. Furthermore this study analyzed the mediating effect of empowerment on the relationship between two variables. Data were collected by self -administered questionnaires. Structural Equation Modeling(SEM) analysis was conducted. The major findings of this study are as follows: nursing organizational culture having a positive effect on empowerment and organizational effectiveness. The empowerment as a mediating role between nursing organizational culture and job satisfaction and turnover intention was statistically significant. This finding showed that desirable organizational culture and improvement of empowerment is necessary to maintain nursing staff's organizational loyalty and eventually to improve total organizational performance.

This paper investigated the operating environment for the representative of each agency and the facility workers on the basis of analytical result of recognition changes of the operating environment changes under the operating the long-term care insurance. It was described plans to take positive effect on the operating as follows. The first, on the result of regression analysis, the service administrative range takes the biggest effect on the general recognition of executing the long-term care insurance off and on. The affirmative recognition of the service administrative range had the general recognition on the system be positive effect. But the operator of facility asserts that the care manager's professionalism related quality of service be strengthened. The second, on the result of regression analysis, in the financial accounting administrative it is revealed the more positive recognition it is, the more positive effects it has. From the difference verification of an operation size from operation subject, the small operation size and personal facility recognize the long term care insurance positively. On the other side the facilities where the operation size is big recognize the system negatively. The long-term care facility should rearrange a support program newly and the government needs to promote the donation activity, because it is needed to reduce the financial burden of facilities.

본 연구는 병원 근로자들의 직무스트레스와 소진의 관계에 미치는 펀 리더십과 근로자 놀이성의 조절효 과를 규명함으로써 향후 병원조직의 효과적인 인적자원관리에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 연구자료는 부산지역 2개 병원에 근무하는 근로자(의사 제외)를 대상으로 구조화된 자기기입식 설문지를 통하여 수집하였으며 총 230부의 설문지를 배부하여 이 중 207부의 설문을 회수하였다. 설문 문항에는 응답자의 일반적 특성, 직무스트레스 특성, 펀 리더십, 근로자 놀이성, 소진 등을 측정하는 항목들이 포함되었다. 자료 분석을 위해 SPSS WIN 18.0을 이용하여 빈도분석, 신뢰도분석, 상관관계분석과 조절회귀분석 등을 수행하였다. 주요 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직무스트레스와 소진의 관계에서 펀 리더십은 직접 효과는 물론 조절효과도 유의하게 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 직무스트레스와 소진의 관계에서 근로자 놀이성은 소진에 직접적인 효과를 주는 변수임과 동시에, 낮은 유의수준(p=0.053)에서지만 직무스트레스와의 상호작용을 통해 소진을 감소시키는 조절효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 병원 근로자의 업무 수행과 관련해 비교적 관심을 받지 못했던 펀 리더십이나 근로자 놀이성 등과 같은 성격적 특성이 소진을 감소시키는 유효한 조절변수가 될 수 있음을 검증해 보았다는 점에 그 의의가 있으며, 다만 후속 연구를 통해 추가적인 검증이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

This study is to identify the related factors for birth․bringing-up from 544 women from 20s to 40s who can be pregnant residing in Busan in order to explore the method for birth encouragement in the midst of the low birth reality in Korea. It was revealed from the research result that the married women who have a birth plan recognize the marriage and the value of the children more importantly than the economical burden. In addition, it was known that the wished number of the children for unmarried women was influenced most greatly by the marriage and the value of the children. The expectation of the institutional supporting for the birth encouragement was the consideration for the time of bringing up and support to returning to the labor market after the birth.

This study was to assess the differences in rehabilitation outcomes between the different facilities in Japan, and to determine if there was any variation in patients' functional recovery at hospital discharge across the different facilities. This study focused on acute patients in the rehabilitation ward using the data of 1,830 patients from 8 hospitals after adjusting for triage at admission obtained from the Rehabilitation Patients Databank in Japan (issued in February, 2011) and compared the therapeutic results of each hospital. We estimate the expected value of levels of activities of daily living(ADL) at discharge for rehabilitation patients using regression analysis and Cluster analysis. There were differences among hospitals in their therapeutic results. The differences in the participation of physicians registered as rehabilitation specialists, amount of exercise, self-exercise wihtout therapist, and exercise in wards, were statistically significant differences between hospitals.

The objective of this study is to analyze the utilization patterns of other region inpatients in general hospitals located in Seoul area. For the analysis, the study utilize the nationwide data on ‘2008 Survey of Patients’ of Ministry of Health & Welfare. The statistical methodology used in the study is the logistic regression model. This study has three major findings. First, the significant affecting sociodemographic factors in selecting general hospitals located in Seoul area was sex, age, type of payment and inpatients residence region. Second, compared to other disease groups, the inpatients on both ‘congenital malformation, deformity and chromosomal abnormalities’ and ‘neoplasm’ groups are more likely to utilize general hospitals in Seoul area. Furthermore, in ‘neoplasm’ disease group, inpatients with ‘bones and articular cartilage malignant neoplasm’ are more likely to utilize general hospitals in Seoul area. Finally, hospitals with more than 1,000 beds was chief factor in selecting Seoul-based hospitals by other region inpatients. In conclusion, the study showed that other region inpatients are more likely to utilize general hospitals located in Seoul area in case of severe disease, rare case and surgical case. Therefore, central and local authority is required to monitor local hospitals on quality of the medical service as well as support them to establish specialized medical centers by providing human and physical resources.

As same time of starting on the Korean Long-term Care Insurance System, the government developed a program to train new qualification of long-term care workers. The number of enrolled long-term care workers are 950,000 persons in 2010. Mostly they are working in home based care work places such as home visit care centers and home visit bathing centers covered insurance. The purpose of this study is to understand the difference of task performance requirement according to long-term care workers' responsibilities which divided into home visiting care and home visiting bathing. The comparison analysis was conducted to task performance requirement in basic management, safety management, administration management, practical services. Key result was found that task performance requirement of long-term care workers whose responsibilities are home visiting care were more higher than the home visiting bathing. Finally, To improve quality of home visiting care and home visiting bathing, it is necessary to provide the fields based continuing education and reflect new reimburse system.

The present study aims to determine the grade and factors of the effects that influence the stress related to job finding of the university students majoring public health administration. The data was collected for 4days from June 7, 2011. Among a total of 360 cases of the questionaries, only 324 cases were used. To data were analyzed by frequency, t-test, ANOVA, correlation and regression using PASW statistics 18.0. From the analyses, it was found that school environment and study-related stress were some of major causes for stress in job finding. There was statistically significant difference in the sub-areas of job finding-related stress by gender, age, type of school, school grade, whether or not the graduating class and satisfaction with the major selected. There was statistically significant difference among the sub-areas of job finding-related stress such as academic achievements, characters, and school and family environments and whether in graduating class of collegians and their satisfaction with the major they chose turned out to exercise statistically significant impact upon the stress of the students majoring public health administration.

This study analyzed affecting factors of employees working at dental hospitals to the organizational commitment and service quality, and then tried to utilize it as a basic data in executing personnel training policies for dental hospital’s practitioners. The survey was conducted from July 1st to July 30th, 2010, and used 193 copies for this research analysis. As a hypothetical verification result through regression analysis, means and capabilities among empowerment factors influenced significant positive (+) effects, and self-determination and influences did not make significant effects. Also, organization commitment was displayed as influencing significant positive (+) effects to the service quality. When considering this research’s results as a basement, an alternative for the managerial innovation shall be established for promoting mutual developments of individuals and organization in midst of promptly changing economic environments. That is, a personal training system has to be set up in which more decision-making rights on given assignments of dental hospital’s employments are endowed, and then responsibilities are directed to be charged so much by introducing the empowerment concept instead of the managerial technique centering on controls.

This study had collected 275 dental hygienists working in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyungnam area, in order to investigate burnout and health promoting behaviors of dental hygienists and find relationship between these. A survey was conducted from December 14 through December 30, 2009, by using structured, self-administered questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed with SPSS 12.0 program. The obtained results were as follows; 1. The average health promoting behavior points are 3.12, and we could gain each point as follows; self-esteem 3.79, interpersonal support 3.70, and nutritional care 3.18. 2. All the factors of health promoting behavior had a negative impact on their burnout. Those who were less health promoting behavior sought burnout more often. 3. The burnout was under the greatest influence of the exercise, followed by stress management, interpersonal support, nutritional care.

To evaluate the impact of avoidable mortality on the changes in life expectancy at birth in Korea. Standard life table techniques and the Arriaga method were used to calculate and to decompose life expectancy changes by age, effects and groups of causes of avoidable mortality among two periods(1990-2000 and 2000-2009). A list of causes of avoidable mortality reached by consensus and previously published in Spain was used. Mortality in young adults produced a reduction in life expectancy at birth during the 1990-2000, but there was an important increase in life expectancy at birth during the 2000-2009; in both cases, this was the result of factors amenable to health policy interventions. The highest improvement in life expectancy at birth was due to non-avoidable causes, but avoidable mortality through health service interventions showed improvements in life expectancy at birth in those elderly people than 1 year and in those younger. Making a distintion between several groups of causes of avoidable mortality and using decomposition by causes, ages and effects allowed us to better explain the impact of avoidable mortality on the life expectancy at birth of the whole population and gave a new dimension to this indicator that could be very useful in public health.

This study is purposed to suggest the method for improving the effect of the mental health project by checking the influence of the "value and function of the mentally disabled" to the "satisfaction to current life of the mentally disabled" for the users of the daytime mental rehabilitation service in the local community, and the difference in the"satisfaction to the current life of the mentally disabled" and "value and function of the mentally disabled" depending on the participation into the mental rehabilitation program. With regard to the "satisfaction to the current life of the mentally disabled", the result showed that the "relation between the current user members" and "consideration about himself in usual time" were the positive influential factors out of the measuring factors for the "value and function of the mentally disabled." In addition, with regard to the "satisfaction to the current life of the mentally disabled", in case of participating to the "vocational rehabilitation program" out of the mental rehabilitation programs, the general "personal value and function which are felt by the mentally disabled" has higher significant difference in case of participating into the "social technology program", "daily life program", "vocational rehabilitation program", "leisure activity program" out of the mental rehabilitation programs than non participating.

This study is Dental Hygiene Department of G University for comprehensive dental hygiene control and treatment weekly for four weeks from September 16 to October 20, 2010, excluding those who visited for ambulatory treatment of systemic diseases. For the 90 subjects, we performed oral examination, measured Simplified Oral Hygiene Index (S-OHI), Modified Patient Hygiene Performance (PHP-M), and O ,Leary Index, and applied comprehensive dental hygiene control. First, as to the change of OHI according to age, the index in the 1st measurement was 3.43 in those under 35 and 3.17 in those aged 35 or older, so it was higher in the younger group, but in the 2nd measurement it was 1.89 in those under 35 and 2.14 in those aged 35 or older, and in the 3rd measurement it was 1.22 in those aged 35 or older, so it was higher in the older group. Second, as to the change of PHP-M according to age, the index in the 1st measurement was 50.35 in those under 35 and 43.16 in those aged 35 or older, soit was higher in the younger group, but in the 2nd measurement it was 31.97 in those under 35 and 28.88 in those aged 35 or older, and in the 3rd measurement it was 21.31 in those aged 35 or older, so it was higher in the older group.

This study was designed to identify satisfaction with Hospital Information System (HIS) and the factors affecting them in hospital administrators. The data was collected for 24 days from Mar. 02 to 25, 2011. Among a total of 82 cases of the questionnaires, only 76 cases were used. From the survey, it was made known that there was statistically significant difference in speed, preciseness and stability of environmental factors depending on the type of hospitals while significant difference was found in stability by number of beds. Among the factors of system operation, the administrational method affected speed, preciseness, stability and convenience statistically significantly whereas, however, preciseness, stability and convenience became significantly different depending on the number of staff members. As for the factors that could exercise influence upon satisfaction with administrative service of the HIS, it was revealed that statistically considerable impact could be caused under management of own EDPS expert as well as under comanagement by the medical institution and professional business entity in case of hospital.

The purpose of this study were to investigate smoking status and management and knowledge of oral health, to provide basic data of giving up smoking policy for oral health management and oral health educational program.. 268 self-reporting questionnaire were collected from March 3, 2010 to March 10, 2010. The results were as follows; (1) As to compare department, the answers of that in health science department were 38.3% and the other department were 44.3%, however it was shown statistically significant correlation(p>0.001). (2) As to compare department, the answers of that in health science department were 50.8% and the other department were 68.6%(p<0.007). (3) As to compare department(p<0.00), the answers of that in health science department were 36.7% and the other department were 55.0%, smoker group and non-health science department group were higher than that of the others(p<0.014).

This study examined the association between marital status and mental health (depression, and suicidal ideation) of Korean adults by age and sex, using 2005 Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey data. Differences of marital status in depression and suicidal ideation were assessed by age and sex-specific prevalence according to each stage of the life course. Our results indicated that adults who divorced, separated, and widowed had significantly higher risk of poor mental health than married adults. Men with no spouse at the stage of middle and older aged are reported higher in depressive symptom than married men. For the suicidal ideation, men with no spouse had higher risk of suicidal ideation through all stage of life course. Women were more likely to report depressive symptom and suicidal ideation than men through all stage of life course. But we could not found the mental health advantage of marriage among Korean women through all stage of life course. Based on findings, the study clearly indicate that the implication of marriage on mental health could be different for adults of different age group and sex.
