Objectives: This study aimed to assess workers in public medical institutions who have acquired accredited certification in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System Certification Management Portal, categorized by job type. Methods: For data collection, 984 people were analyzed by introducing electronic medical records in public medical institutions located in the metropolitan area, Gyeonggi-do, Busan Metropolitan City, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Gyeongsangnam-do, and Jeju-do. Results: Among different occupations, health information management professionals demonstrated the highest level of awareness regarding the EMR authentication system. Conclusions: The participation rate of the physician group, which is the main user of the EMR system, in the survey was significantly low. In order to promote the interest and participation of the medical community in EMR system certification, it is judged that the certification body needs to make considerable efforts such as public relations activities and education projects.

Objectives: This study analyzed the relationship between health information literacy level and health management behavior among 14,196 adults aged 19 or older using data from the 2021 Community Health Survey. Methods: This study used SPSS 27.0 to conduct cross-analysis and linear regression analysis to investigate the relationship and influence between health information literacy level and health management behavior. Results: The findings of this study revealed that there was a statistically significant influence on diabetes management education if the medical staff's explanation or written health information was perceived as difficult as well as the number of glycated hemoglobin tests, eye examination experience, and detailed urine test experience. Conclusions: Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to develop various educational materials, improve treatment methods for effective communication, and prepare customized health policies.

Objectives: This study conducted a systematic review of generic health literacy measurement tools, aiming to support the development of effective tools for assessing health literacy levels among Koreans with evidence-based data. Methods: We analyzed data on measurement tools registered in the "Health Literacy Tool Shed" (https://healthliteracy.bu.edu) from September 1 to October 10, 2021. The database included 216 tools developed between 1961 and 2021, from which 10 were selected for in-depth review. We assessed the methodological quality of these tools using the COSMIN checklist. Results: Among the 10 studies reviewed, 4 implemented item response theory. All studies were evaluated for internal consistency in reliability, with the overall quality being deemed excellent. Additionally, both content and construct validity were rated as excellent in terms of quality. Conclusions: There is a need for the development of universally applicable health literacy measurement tools for Koreans. The reliability and validity of these tools should be subject to regular verification. Koreans need to be developed, and their reliability and validity should be regularly verified.

Objectives: This study aimed to examine the characteristics influencing, and determinants of regional nursing graduates’ geographical mobility regarding finding employment. Methods: We accessed the Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey 2015–2019 data for 900 hospital nurses classified as regional nursing graduates. Results: In total, 58.1% of the regional nursing graduates remained in the school regions for 1.5 years after graduation. Conversely, 41.9% transitioned to other regions, with 22.6% moving to Seoul and 19.3% relocating to areas outside of Seoul. The probability of finding employment in Seoul was higher among nurses with a higher reservation wage, those who graduated from a high school in a region other than their nursing school region, received foreign language training, and had higher nursing school performance, and among nursing university graduates. Conclusions: Governments and hospitals should enhance the nursing environment to prevent the exodus and turnover of regional nursing graduates.

Objectives: This study used raw data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey to determine the effect of oral care product use on the number of existing natural teeth among middle-aged and elderly people. Methods: A total of 4,208 people, comprising2,513 middle-aged and 1,695 elderly people, were surveyed using IBM SPSS for data analysis. Results: The more middle-aged and elderly people used dental floss and the less they used other oral aids, the greater the number of existing natural teeth they possessed. Among the elderly, the number of existing natural teeth increased with interdental brushes and electric toothbrushes. Conclusions: To increase the number of existing natural teeth, regular dental checkups and professional oral health education are necessary so that middle-aged and elder can select and use oral care products suited to their oral health status.

Objectives: The obesity rate among adult men is rapidly increasing compared to women. This study examined the relationship between subjective body shape perception, health behavior practices, and obesity among adult men. Methods: Using a sample of 1,294 adult men aged 29 to 59 years from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, we examined not only the relationship between health behavior practices and obesity rates but also the difference in health behavior practices by type of subjective body shape perception using a chi-square test. Results: In terms of health behavior characteristics, subjective body shape perception, weight control status, number of walking days per week, drinking frequency, dietary status, and conscious water intake were significantly related to obesity. In addition, there were differences in health behavior practices according to the type of subjective body shape perception. Conclusions: Differences in health behavior practices according to subjective body shape perception can be used to establish obesity management policies by body image perception group.

Objectives: This study aims to establish the content validity of the Assessment of Time Management Skills (ATMS) for measuring time management skills. Methods: A mental health occupational therapist consulted with the original author to translate the ATMS. A review of an expert panel, back-translation, and validation of the back-translation were performed. Fifty occupational therapists with at least three years of clinical experience surveyed the item content validity index (CVI). Results: The Korean translation of 12 items was revised in the initial round of review by the translation verification committee. During the second round of review, one item was deemed “not similar” in back-translation and was subsequently revised. The average comprehensibility for each item ranged from 3.46 and 4.78. The CVI was reported as 0.75 for 21 items and below 0.75 for 6 items. Conclusions: The ATMS followed the translation guidelines of the World Health Organization to ensure its linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness. Experts found the tool useful in assessing patients’ time management skills.
