This work comprises an analysis of cultural abilities that affect the social growth of artisans, The analytical core of the work consists of three qualitative case studies conducted as field investigations by the author of the work. The findings of the case studies carry the following implications for immigrants as culture spreaders. These findings are as follows. Three cultural abilities were found to be related to the social growth of artisans: The ability to discover the value of culture, the creative ability to design a culture amid the mundane of everyday life, and the cultivation of education and learning capabilities in order to socially disseminate and inherit cultural values. The cultural abilities of Japanese artisans may serve as lessons for immigrants who are cultivating their own resources as cultural spreaders and engaging in cultural exchanges socially.

This study aims to describe and analyze Korean and Indonesian object pronouns based on a Korean-Indonesian parallel corpus. Both Korean and Indonesian are categorized as ‘discourse pro-drop languages’ that allow arguments(subjects and objects) to be dropped. However, the object elliption in Indonesian is more restrained because in independent clauses the object cannot be ommited. The results of the Korean-Indonesian parallel corpus showed that there were instances when Korean object pronouns corresponded with Indonesian object pronouns and when they did not. The Indonesian object pronoun is controlled by its verb’s transitivity and therefore can appear even when the object pronoun in the Korean text was expressed using zero anaphor. The Korean object pronoun when overtly expressed, displayed new information, focus or emphasis. In addition, we also observed cases on the account of different language expression, Korean and Indonesian preference on expression was discovered.

The researcher analyzed the life of a female homosexual who had to marry a man in order to adapt without being criticized among many heterosexuals by the postmodern qualitative research method according to Lacan's 'the passage of the act' theory. The participant of this study decided on their own independent life through a divorce after experiencing their father's coercion to marry men, bullying due to homosexual tendencies, fear of sexual identity being discovered in the church, marriage for socialization, fear of sexual behavior, and guilt of cheating and marrying homosexuals. After divorce, the research participant maintained a friendship with her husband, and was disconnected from her parents, and became more friendly with her siblings. She was leaving the church that treats homosexuality as a sin and attending the church that accepts the research participant, and is making a relationship that supports her regardless of sexual identity. The researcher was able to confirm the difficulties of homosexuals living in many heterosexual cultures through the postmodern qualitative research process, and it was difficult to criticize her marriage, even if it was a lie. This was because it was not only a lie of the research participant but also a problem of social gaze. The social perspective should be changed so that 'the passage of the act' does not occur dangerously and subjectivity can appear in discourse.

Melancholy has been developed as a humanistic and medical term to describe the state of the human body and mind. In the Renaissance era, as the positive aspects of melancholy emerged, the thought and symbol of creativity and harmony of melancholy were emphasized. It can be found that the power of contemplation, harmony and creativity of melancholy like this has the power to dispel sadness and can be a trigger point that leads to mourning. In addition, humans have different ways of resolving sadness and melancholy experienced after loss, and the solution may be different from the way universal society refers to them. The way of expressing human melancholy and mourning from the creativity and diversity of melancholy can be in through the movie <House of Cards>. This movie looked at the sadness and depression that the protagonist, six-year-old Sally, suffers from the death of her father, from the perspective of Cubism, a multiple perspectives of the human environment and experience. In addition, this movie depicts the process of symbolizing the rearranged emotions and memories through the creativity of melancholy to complete the mourning. Accordingly, through the clues presented by the movie, I studied the sadness and melancholy that can not be expressed in words, the cracks and seeking of symbols caused by melancholy, and the mourning that consists in the creation of art as an implicit symbol.
