The dried persimmons is produced fungi and develop browning, hardening in circulation at normal temperature. To resolve such problem in commercial value preservation, the research was conducted to measure the quality changes of dried persimmons packagings at low temperature(0℃) during 160 days storage and the normal temperature(15℃) during 100 days storage. The rate of weight loss, fungi, browning, hardening were changed a little in the low temperature(0℃) storage and N/LDPE.

The effects of packaging conditions on freshness extension of cucumber were investigated during 24-day storage temperatures 18℃ and 10℃. The storage life of cucumbers was influenced by both packaging methods (corrugated cardboard vs EPS box) and temperatures during storage. The fresh weigh, vitamin C content and Chlorophyll of cucumbers were decreased, while yellowing of cucumber peel was increased during storage. The change of vitamin C content was influenced by both packaging method and temperature during storage. The EPS box and low temperature were revealed to be effective treatments to extend the storability or cucumber fruit.

Nanocomposite has been considered as an emerging technology in developing a novel food packaging materials. Polymer nanocomposites exhibit markedly improved packaging properties due to their nanometer size dispersion. These improvements include increased barrier properties pertaining to gases such as oxygen, carbon dioxide, and water vapor, as well as to UV rays, and increased mechanical properties such as strength, stiffness, dimensional stability, and heat resistance. Additionally, biologically active ingredients can be added to impart the desired functional properties to the resulting packaging materials. New packaging materials created with this technology demonstrate an increased shelf life with maintaining high quality of the product. Nanotechnology offers big benefits for packaging. Nanocomposite technology paves the way for packaging innovation in the flexible and rigid packaging applications, offering enhanced properties such as greater barrier protection, increased shelf life and lighter-weight materials.

Shock and vibration inputs are transmitted from the transporting vehicle through the packaging to the fruit. The vibration causes sustained bouncing of fruits against each other and the container wall. The steady state vibration input may cause serous fruit injury, and the damage is particularly severe if the fruits are bounced at its resonance frequency. The determination of the resonance frequencies of the fruits and vegetables may help the packaging designer to determine the proper packaging system providing adequate protection for the fruits, and to understand the complex interaction between the components of the fruits when they relate to expected transportation vibration inputs. To analyze the vibration properties of the apples for optimum packaging design during transportation, random vibration tests were carried out. In the random vibration test, the resonance frequency and PSD of the packaged freight of apples in the test were in the range of 82 to 97 Hz and 0.0013 to 0.0021G2/Hz respectively and the resonance frequency and PSD of the packaged apples in the test were in the range of 13 to 71 Hz and 0.0143 to 0.0923G2/Hz.

Physical damage on fruits and vegetables caused by shock degrades the value of product in the fresh market. In order to design a product/package system to protect the product, the peak acceleration or G force to the product that causes shock damage needs to be determined. Shock cushion packaging is applied to protect goods of all kinds. It can be adapted in their shape to any product to be packed, so that its shock absorbing properties is determined by geometry of the product. The shape of a cushion can be adapted to the expected shock loads. To analyze the response properties of cushion materials for packaging of the pears for optimum packaging design during transportation, shock tests were carried out. Shock acceleration that is happened in pears were appeared very high by $25{\sim}30G$ in the input shock acceleration of 14.1618 G that was measured in transportation road. This means that the pears receive the shock acceleration more than maximum double itself and the damage by this can happen and the shock acceleration increase in case use PE tray cup and PE net in fruits, the use of corrugated fiberboard pad may become one method that it can reduce the damage by the shock in packaging of fruits.

In a comparison the Logistics system for Agro-food of Korea and the Logistic system of Europe and Japan, the more developed countries of Europe have better systems. This well-formed rationalization of Logistics on Agro-food, and perfectly-equipped packaging system measurements for Agro-food make 100% pallet freight possible. Also, this means that a unit load system has been achieved. In Japan, the Logistic system is mainly accomplished by auction. However, it has been rapidly changing into the same type as the developed countries these days. Logistic system in Korea is also mainly accomplished by auction under the influence of Japan. However it also has been rapidly changing in to the same type as the developed countries these days. In the future, Korea has to build up international competitiveness in the face of FTA(Free Trade Agreement) era. This can happen by having better-organized Agro-food Logistics system and unit load system which results in accurate packaging system measurements.
