수분이 식품성분과 인쇄 용제와의 분배계수에 미치는 영향

The partitioning behavior of five printing ink solvents was studied in various cookie ingredients before and after baking which had different water content and different structure. Solvents were ethyl acetate, hexane, isopropanol, methyl ethyl ketone, and toluene which represent different characteristic functional groups. Gas chromatography (G.C.) was used to measure partitioning values at 25℃ on each raw and baked cookie ingredients. Baking condition of cookie ingredients was $260^{\circ}C$ for 10 min. In cookie ingredients, decreases in water content generally affected Kp of polar solvents, but did not affect that of the non-polar solvents. However, as water content decreased in the cookie ingredient, the Kp of the non-polar and polar solvents showed mixed results.

This study was carried out to investigate vibration shock of electric appliances during transport. Microwave oven, TV, washing machine and refrigerator were singled out as the study items. Transport courses were selected as follow ; an expressway between Kumi and Seoul for TV, an expressway between Kwangju and Seoul for microwave oven and washing machine, a national road between Inchon and Seoul for refrigerator. the values of vibration shock were measured to be ${\sim}3G$ on the national road and 1G on the expressway for up and down direction, ${\sim}0.5G$ on the national road and expressway for back and forth direction and ${\sim}0.8G$ on the national road and expressway for right and left direction. There was no damage during transport. These values were corresponding to grade II of KS A 1026 (General Rules of Performance Testing for Packaged Freights).

기상 가수분해에 의한 순수 TiO2 초미립자의 제조

The pure TiO2 particles have been prepared in vapor-phase hydrolysis of titanium tetraisopropoxide(TTIP). The rate of TTIP hydrolysis was so fast that the overall rate of formation of TiO2 was controlled by the rate of mixing of TTIP and H2O. Thus, the primary TiO2 particles were prepared in nano sizes to form chainlike aggregates due to rapid coagulation. The pure TiO2 particles as prepared were amorphous at the reactor set temperatures below 400℃ and became anatase at the temperatures of 450℃ above while the weak rutile peaks were also observed above 800℃. The actual size of primary particles as prepared were reduced by increasing the reactor set temperature while their crystalline sizes as well as BET sizes increased by post-sintering.

We study on the phase diagram of the polymer blend. For this purpose, one PS (polystyrene) and two PI(polyisoprene) were employed whose molecular weights were low enough to make the experimental determinations possible. The weight-average molecular weight(Mw) of PS was 2514, and Mws of two PIs were 2700. Interaction energy density (IED) of the Flory-Huggins lattice theory was defined as a function of temperature and composition, and the consequent equations for the binodal, and critical points were derived. By fitting the experimental binodal points to the derived binodal curve with a nonlinear regression method, the expression for the IED was determined. And the expression for the IED obtained from this study was compared with those reported in the literatures. Also were discussed the importance of accuracy in the expression the IED, and the IED`s dependency on the temperature, composition and molecular weights.

Packaging has been regarded as a environmental problem because of its relatively high portion of municipal solid wastes. Especially, cosmetic packaging has been focused because of characteristics of cosmetic packaging. Cosmetic products are highly sensitive products that pursue the beauty differently from other products. Cosmetic packaging materials are difficult to be recycled. Purpose of this study is to suggest the method to improve the environmental friendly packaging of cosmetic products. This study contains the major governmental policies on the cosmetic packaging in terms of environment issues in Korea, and suggested methods to develop the environmental friendly packaging of cosmetic products.

The aim of this study was to develop a model that could be used in the design of modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) for peaches. Respiratory data at 5, 10, 20℃ for peaches were gathered and altered for create useful respiration model. Packaging materials were conventional low density polyethylene and polypropylene with anti-fog, and anti-fungi treatments, and thickness was $30{\mu}m$ and $50{\mu}m$ each. Permeability tests were performed to find their oxygen, carbon dioxide, water vapor transmission rate as increases in temperature. Test results were then converted to logarithm format for MAP modeling. The maximum rate of oxygen uptake increased with increasing temperature. Optimum gas composition in the package system for fruits were set according to literature and upper or lower limits of oxygen and dioxide established. To predict gas composition at certain storage time, weight of fruits, film thickness, film type, and other variables, respiration rate was studied at various storage conditions. The results of tests were used to calculate Cameron`s model and converted to a cubic estimation equation. The validity of the model was tested experimentally by observing actual atmospheric changes inside packages. This result of study may be useful for designing dynamic gas exchange MAP systems for similar agricultural products.
