Unsteady numerical simulation of unsteady state conduction heat transfer has been done for solidification of pure Aluminium in green sand mould. Experimental work on aluminium for studying its cooling rate and ANSYS software for the same has been conducted in the present paper. As during the solidification heat transfer by conduction will dominate over convection and radiation. Heat conduction equation in two-dimensional Cartesian co-ordinate governs the problem. Convective boundary condition has been considered at the interface of the casting part and mould cavity. Heat conduction equation in unsteady state has been solved using ANSYS to study the thermal flow and cooling rate. The pure aluminium and green sand mould will be used as a molten material and mould cavity material respectively.

This study focused on the plight of children who are secondary victims of family break up in Gweru, Zimbabwe. The focus was on children who suffer loss as a result of the consequences of divorce and /or separation of parents. The researchers used purposive sampling, also referred to as convenience sampling to ensure that a significant number of participants were involved. Interviews and observations were handy in the collection of data.. The study established that children of divorced and/or separated parents suffer a lot of problems some of which result in the adoption of anti-social behaviour, decline in school performance, deterioration of health, low self-image. 75% of the participants interviewed showed that consequences of divorce and/or separation are catastrophic on children. The study further established that children as secondary victims, run away from home, dropout of school, develop a negative attitude of family life. The study recommends that counselling services be made available to these children, their parents and the society in general for behaviour change, attitude change and adjustment to the challenges caused by family break-up. Other stakeholders such as the Government and civil society should also support these children in as far as the five basic children’s rights are concerned.

Through this paper, we investigated the unsteady free convection flow of a Casson fluid bounded by a moving vertical flat plate in a rotating system with convective boundary conditions. The governing equations of the flow have been solved analytically using perturbation technique. The effects of various non-dimensional governing parameters like Casson parameter, magnetic field parameter, thermal diffusion parameter, chemical reaction parameter and thermal radiation parameter on velocity, temperature and concentration profiles are discussed and presented through graphs. We also evaluated the friction factor, Nusselt and Sherwood numbers and presented numerically. Through this study it is found that the Casson parameter controls the velocity profiles and Soret number have tendency to enhance the both velocity and concentration fields.

Function point elements are metrics to measure the size of software projects. This article investigates the relationship among function point elements using principle component analysis. Principle component analysis reveals the relationship of different function point elements such that they may be measuring the same attribute of a software project. Therefore, principle component analysis brings out the influence of a function point element over each other. Principle component analysis can help to integrate the function point elements.

User interfaces are the most important part of interactive software applications; being the entities which serve as a communication bridge between users and applications. Furthermore the user experience provided by any software application is the only factor to measure its success. Therefore an application can only be successful if besides having a worthy user interface, it also provides a pleasant user experience. Design of a good user interface suffers a lot recently with a rapid increase in the number of electronic devices as each device has its own constraints and capabilities that force the same application to run in multiple ways on multiple devices, thus generating the problem of inconsistent user interfaces. This situation also prohibits the provision of a good user experience as user interface is a very important aspect among many other aspects of user experience. In this paper; a framework is proposed that makes it possible to design multiple but consistent user interfaces of an application and also provides a wonderful experience to the end users. The proposed framework is validated by developing two different versions of a single interactive software application for two different devices. The development process is done by following the proposed framework. Final user interfaces of both versions are then compared to check consistency. This comparison shows that both user interfaces are consistent to each other and thus the proposed framework is validated.

The present review paper discusses an aspect of influence of pH and weight loss of steel embedded in reinforced cement concrete. Fe415 steel is the widely used steel in construction industry because of its low carbon content and good mechanical properties. To make an analytical study, the Linear Polarization Resistance (LPR) measurement technique has been used for measurement of pH and weight loss in 0.5M NaOH Solution The pH has been varied from 7-10 by a difference of 0.5. An equation which relates the pH and corrosion rates has also been dictated in the present paper. A wide literature review has also been conducted in the present paper. Temperature and the electrode voltage relationship have been shown in the text according to the Nernst equation.

In this present paper, we investigate an analysis of slip and Joule heating with radiation on MHD peristaltic blood flow with porous medium through a coaxial asymmetric vertical tapered channel under the approximations of long wavelength and low Reynolds number. An influence of various governing parameters such as Porous parameter (Da), Magnetic field (M), Prandtl number (Pr), Eckert number (Ec), heat source/sink parameter (γ), Brinkman number (Br) and radiation parameter (N) were discussed and illustrated graphically through a set of figures. It is noted that the temperature distribution increases by increase in N, Da, Br and M and also we observe that the temperature distribution decreases by an increase in Pr, β and γ. It can be seen that the temperature profile is found almost parabolic in nature. We notice that the heat transfer coefficient decreases in the portion of the channel x ε [0, 0.58] and then increases in the range x ε [0.58, 1] by increase in N, Br and M and also we notice that the heat transfer coefficient gradually increases in the portion of the tapered channel x ε [0, 0.58] and then it is slowly decreases in the rest of the channel x ε [0.58, 1] by increase in Pr, β, Da and γ.
