A Study on the Connectivity of IPv6 to IPv4 Domains and Its Security Issues

The current Internet protocol, version 4, known as IPv4, poses several problems such as impending exhaustion of its address space, configuration and complexities due to rapid growth of the Internet and emerging new technologies. As a result, IETF developed the next generation IP, called IPv6, to not only eliminate the shortcomings of IPV4 but also deliver new features and services. Transition technologies were developed to support the transition from the IPv4-based Internet to IPv6-based Internet. This paper discusses the 6to4 mechanism, a powerful IPv6 transition tool that will allow both traditional IPv4-based Internet end-user sites and new IPv6- only Internet sites to utilize IPv6 and operate successfully over the existing IPv4-based Internet routing infrastructure. This paper also outlines the security issues brought about by the connectivity and interoperability of IPv6 to IPv4 domains particularly the 6to4 mechanisms.
Approximation Studies on Image Enhancement Using Fuzzy Technique

An image can be considered as a fuzzy subset of plane. Fuzzy entropy measuring the blur in an image is a functional which increases when the sharpness of its argument image decreases. In this paper we consider three parameters such as the intensification parameter t, the fuzzifier h f and crossover point c .The partially ordered set and lattice theory defined in section 2 strengthens the selection of any value in the interval [0, 1] such that the image can be enhanced. Here we verify the approximate value of c and visual observation image enhancement in different figures. By entropy minimization technique we construct an approximation of the ideal image and for that we apply the enhancement operation to the low contrast image. This can be done by an optimization process that minimizes a criterion function.
Linear Quadratic State Feedback Design for Switched Linear Systems with Polytopic Uncertainties

In this paper, we consider the design of stable linear switched systems for polytopic uncertainties via their closed loop linear quadratic state feedback regulator. The closed loop switched systems can stabilize unstable open loop systems or stable open loop systems but in which there is no solution for a common Lyapunov matrix. For continuous time switched linear systems, we show that if there exists solution in an associated Riccati equation for the closed loop systems sharing one common Lyapunov matrix, the switched linear systems are stable. For the discrete time switched systems, we derive an LMI to calculate a common Lyapunov matrix and solution for the stable closed loop feedback systems. These closed loop linear quadratic state feedback regulators guarantee the global asymptotical stability for any switched linear systems with any switching signal sequence.
The Service Generation Apparatus for IPTV Interactive Digital Channel

In this paper, a service generation apparatus is proposed for easily setting up an IPTV interactive digital channel by a channel service producer incapable of programming. The apparatus convergences different characteristics of set-top boxes, display screens, multimedia data and generates the service channel automatically. A design example and demonstration illustrates the schematic architecture of the apparatus. It is currently used in CHT MOD service to meet the increasing capacity of IPTV consuming market.
Coarse Classification of Handwritten Hindi Characters

This paper describes a system to classify the off-line handwritten Hindi characters into several groups based on some similarity measure. A novel method is proposed for finding the header line, based on end points and pixels positions in the top half part of the character image. The algorithm works in the presence of slant of the header line. After the identification and removal of header line, all the characters are coarse classified. A new algorithm is designed for the identification of presence and position of vertical bar in the handwritten Hindi characters. A coarse classification rate of 97.25% has been achieved in the simulation study.
