A parallel implementation of the highly useful and computational intensive cor-relation matrix arithmetic is presented here. A heterogeneous multi-core CELL-BE processor platform has been used for the purpose of accelerating the performance of the kernel. An extensive measures of the performance reflects the massive capability of the CELL-BE processor architecture. In comparison with a Power Processor, the CELL-BE achieves about 500 time better performance, whereas it is showing around 120 times better performance with that of a dual-core Pentium-4 processor.

A large part of information systems security approaches is technical in nature with less consideration on people and organizational issues. To this end, there is a need to investigate other means of managing information systems security since most information systems security approaches although valuable they focus on technical oriented solutions, e.g. checklists, risk analysis, evaluation methods, and ignore the social aspects of risks and the informal structures of organizations. This research adopts a psychological-organizational point of view to information systems security by investigating the role and application of goals to informal structured organizations in the banking industry. The ultimate scope of this research is to investigate the importance of having an efficient goal setting structure in the context of information systems security in banking. The research contributes to interpretive information systems with the study of goal setting in a security management context.

Broadband is the common form of telecommunication used for Intensive Care Unit (ICU) telemedicine. However, in rural areas, bandwidth demand can easily outstrip the revenue realizable that is needed to pay for the network infrastructure investment so lower bandwidth is normal. A consequence of restricted bandwidth on access pipes is service contention at the customer site. To address these challenges we need to consider Quality of Service issues before we can successfully deploy a successful ICU telemedicine system. Quality of Service refers to the set of technologies and techniques for managing network traffic with the goal of providing a certain level of performance to a data flow in a network. In this paper we will discuss how the use of data wavelets as a form of data compression of ICU data makes for better use of broadband in rural areas and, in turn, improves Quality of Service in telemedicine.

The main aim of this paper was to determine the amount of Al2O3 reinforcement that results into best combination of strength. Magnesium nano composites containing 3.5, 7.0 and 14 volume percentage of Al2O3 were synthesized through powder metallurgy route. Resistance of furnace sintering technique (heating rate: 49°C/min).Micro structural characterization revealed reasonably uniform distribution of Al2O3 particulates in the matrix and the presence of nanopores. Thermo mechanical analysis revealed significant reduction in CTE of magnesium as a result of presence of alumina nano particulates. Mechanical characterization studies revealed that hardness, work of flexural strength of pure Mg increased when 3.5, 7.0 and 14 vol. % of nano alumina reinforcements are added into Mg matrix. Where as 14 vol.% is revealed that decrease the strength of hardness. The studies revealed that the best combination of mechanical properties is realized from the composite containing 7 volume percentage of alumina.

Preemptive Systems are systems whose tasks are timely constrained and which can be suspended for a while and resumed afterwards. In order to check for their reliability, formal methods are applied to model and to analyze their behaviors. This is achieved by computing their state spaces that can be abstracted and encoded as graphs. We present in this paper an algorithm allowing an efficient computation of a DBM over-approximation of the state space of preemptive systems modeled by using Time Petri Nets with inhibitor arcs. For this effect, each class of this graph is expressed as a pair (M, D), where M is a marking and D is the system of DBM inequalities. In [1] we have defined an algorithm to compute the system D straightforwardly in its normal form, without requiring computing the intermediary polyhedron. We explore for this abstraction a suitable equivalence relation that contracts yet more the graphs. Experimental results comparing our algorithm with other approaches are reported.

Recently, a malware is growing rapidly and the number of malware applies various techniques to protect itself from the anti-virus solution detection. The reason of this phenomenon is that a longer resident on an infected host guarantees the more profit. As a result, these many protection techniques are applied to a malware, a representative of those is a Packing. It is not an exaggeration that most of the malware currently is distributed. In other words, a packer is widely used for a malware protection. Therefore analysts must determine whether the malware was packed or not and if the malware is packed, what packer is used, before an analysis of the malware. For these procedures, some packer detection tools were released and used. But, the detection performance is not good and there is some false positive and false negative. Therefore we propose a signature generation method that is based on an unpacking process and algorithm in this paper. And we offer the packer detection experiment result using the proposed packer detection signature generation method.

The present paper brings out a mathematical model of Ammensal-enemy both immigrated species pair with limited resources. This model is built by a couple of first order non-linear ordinary differential equations. One and only one equilibrium point of this model is traced and the stability criteria at this equilibrium point are derived. Solutions for the linearized perturbed equations are ascertained.

DNA microarray technology can be used to measure expression levels for thousands of genes in a single experiment across different samples. Within a gene expression matrix there are usually several particular Macroscopic Phenotypes of samples related to some diseases or drug effects such as diseased samples, normal samples or drug treated samples. The goal of sample based clustering is to find the phenotype structure or substructure of the samples. Currently most of research work focuses on the supervised analysis, relatively less attention has been paid to unsupervised approaches in sample based analysis which is important when domain knowledge is incomplete or hard to obtain. The standard k-means algorithm is effective in producing clusters for many practical applications. But the computational complexity of the original k-means algorithm is very high in high dimensional data and the accuracy of the clustering result depends on the initial centroid. In this paper, we present a new framework for unsupervised sample based clustering using informative genes for microarray data. We proposed a method to find initial centroid for k-means and we have used similarity measure to find the informative genes. The goal of our clustering approach is to perform better cluster discovery on sample with informative gene.
