This thesis has the aim of studying that the problems of space․time, effectiveness of space, economic characters in the architectural space that should be solved in accordance with the multi-purpose furniture in the multi-purpose rooms on the architectural planning method. The scope of this study is on the space of houses, schools and churches. The possibilities of using the methods between the multi-purpose rooms and multi-purpose furniture were tested. And the real furniture designed by the author was introduced among the pages. References, observations and the feedback from the users were used as the method of this study. The following are the contents of this study; 1. Background and the characters of the space in the multi-purpose rooms. 2. Present and potential features of the multi-purpose rooms. 3. Design method of the multi-purpose rooms. 4. Real multi-purpose furnitures designed and the evaluation on those goods. As a result of this study the multi-purpose furniture could be recommended as a good method to improve the spacial enhancement for the multi-purpose rooms. From now on, the researches like this could be studied as good problem seeking methods.

In campus project, 「Barrier Free Design」is the essential part for the handicapped. It is necessary to make a quality model that choose effective design value engineering objects. So more effective models, this study examine requests of the university students. Checked items are classified into four groups that movement, guidable, safety and territoria parts, and each groups are also divided into detailed items for basic decisional elements. When basis points sets 10, it can be divided that movement parts 2.93pts, guidable parts 2.31pts, safety parts 2.41pts and territoria parts 2.35pts. in this results, we can make additive value and quality model for barrier free design in campus design value engineering.

The purpose of this study is to provide the systematic report and analysis about Apartment VE application in Design Phase. In this study, the method of VE application is classified into foure groups-changing materials, changing a method of construction, acceptance of new technology, and use of new device. The facts found in this study can be summarized as follows. Application rate of VE is highest in building circumference parts. The main reason would be that there are many applicable factors according to locations, types of work, etc. Parking lots also show similar results with the same reason. It means there are a lot of possibility to adapt value engineering in these steps during the work. So far application of value engineering has been so limited that just small changes of process or method have been tried. One reason is the lack of challenging and the other is some characteristics of construction work which is very difficult to fix after completion. In the future, it would be more efficient to apply new technology and new device in construction work. Though these attempts have been ignored in Korea so far, there are still lots of possibilities to be developed in value engineering.

The object of this study is the new city hall of Miyashiro in Saitama pref., Japan, which was built through local resident participation. The purpose of this study is to offer the reference data of regional public facilities by researching the process, role and meaning of resident participation and architectural characteristics and meanings. The results of the study are as follows. First, the new city hall of Miyashiro was built through voluntary will and efforts of the residents. Through close cooperation of the local residents, administration and specialists, it took into significant consideration regional conditions and individual characteristics. Second, the new city hall of Miyashiro applied the concept of barrier-free for children, the aged and handicapped, etc. Third, the new city hall of Miyashiro introduced wooden structure making the most of the merits of lumber. Finally, the new town hall of Miyashiro took sustainability into consideration by striving for the efficiency of energy application.

The rice mill occurred from modernization process of the farming village. It comes to follow in intention of the architect and is not the position building. By the user of the building it comes to follow necessary and it is a position thing. The like this rice mill was the community center of the village. Also the material which is unique and form quality were land mark of the village. The object of research is the rice mill where it takes charge of a like this role. And the scope of research is 8 rice mills of Eomjeong Myeon Chungju City which is located in the northern Chungbuk area. The progress of research the documentary survey, actual measurement, question, field work it analyzed the construction quality which the rice mill keeps with base and it arranges.

Architectural design works are proceeded by the collaboration of experts working in many fields, but the traditional method of collaboration, so to speak offline collaboration, has limitation on time and space. The meeting agenda is not well organized in the meeting. Often there are so many items to discuss, that some get left out, and remain unaddressed. The knowledge relying on people's memory is not always accurate. To solve the above problems, we would like to suggest web-based collaboration system in architectural design and provide contents which are called checklists and knowledge database for collaboration.

From the mid-nineteenth century, Korean have emigrated to Tumen riverside. Their communities have different characters in accordance with the time, intention, and birthplace of emigrants who inclined to keep their fradifin and culture. There are many causes about the formation of communities influenced by Dynasty's Policy in 1885, one of the reasons is to approve Han Min Zhuan Ken Di Qu(legal land development right for Korean immigrants), and provide land development district for Korean immigrants in the north region of Tumen river from 1885. In Tumen riverside, 69 Ferry and wade viuaces have existed for more than 90 years By and large, 21 communities and distributed in He-Long city, 28 communities in Long-Jing city, and 10 communities in tu-men city, and 10 communities in Hun-Chun city.

This study is based on the ecological design method related with the Building Landscape in Coastal Area, basically Building Landscape design theories are affected the visual distance and visual area. The results derived of this study are as follows. First, We established design method of Building Landscape in Coastal Area in consideration of Ecological Environment that is purposed by means of the Normative theory study analysis and contents analysis related with Landscape and Architecture planning theory. Second, We can define 'Micro Landscape', 'Urban Landscape', and 'Wide Landscape'. 'Micro Landscape' are ‘Near view’. 'Urban Landscape' are related ‘Middle-distance view’ and 'Long-distance view‘. 'Wide Landscape' are related 'High & Long-distance view’. Third, We can also define 'Ecological Mode', 'Formal Aesthetic Mode', 'Psychological Mode', and 'Semiotical Mode' by the dimensions of macro scale. finally, we define 48 detailed factors types of 3 visual Area of Building Landscape in Coastal Area by the dimensions of micro scale.

This study deals with analysing the growth prospect and development direction of Donghae city with two international ports. To do so, it is progressed, firstly, to examine the general discovery about port since the late nineteenth century, secondly, to unfold it's theory with Mukho and Donghae port as Donghae city development element as the central figure, thirdly, to analyse Donghae city as the important place of traffic, the location of industry and the resource base in a spatial planning side.

This study is derived from relation between the natural landscape and architectural landscape. The type of landscape in Donghae seaside consist of three; Road, Mountain, Seaside. And we selected three landscapes about individual housing; Western, Traditional, Modern. This paper is analyzed 18-simulation scenes, which evaluated with semantic differential method in using 12-bipolar adjectives. The results of this study are as follows(ref: table 6). 1)The housing of western style do not correspond with landscape of Road, but landscape of mountain and seaside were suitable to the western style. 2)Mountain in Donghae seaside harmonizes with housing of traditional style. 3)Even though the housing of modern style were marked low assessment in three landscape, we found out relation, modern housing was well-matched with load landscape.

The purpose of this study is to suggest a actual conditions and expert's role on the green tourism in rural community. There are four types of green tourism in rural villages. It is an alternative tourism that has naturalism and sustainability, not mass tourism. I can find it is a one of the new rural development method in a point of view of rural people's income. Green tourism requires a participation of village peoples. So, management hang on not government office, but village people themselves. By surveying green tourism villages in the case of this study, I propose a few results as follow; firstly, green tourism of Korea will give an innovation to stagnant rural society. Secondly, rural people themselves must participate directly in development and guidance, when every programs are advanced. Thirdly, through this project of green tourism, we expect that urban and rural symbiosisically have a network.

During high speed economic growth period in Korea, our society has focused it's energy on the economic and social development based on the strategy of demolition and destruction of all our natural and man-made environment. In progress with that trend, our small cities in Korea also have just followed the metropolitan physical development pattern and considered that imitation of those metropolitan cities' or western cities' changes be the same meaning of "modernization". Therefore, our valuable urban and architectural heritages have been constantly destructed and that situation has been same in Anseong. Now in the new trend of environmentally sustainable urban design and at the new millenium period, we have to focus our attention on the retaining strategy of city's historicity as a city planner or an architect, and the first step for this strategy shall be to clarify the transition process of urban structure, especially of C.B.D. area of small cities since pre-industrial period.

Our ancestor has accumulated inimitable a building system from experience. and they finally invented Gu-dul that heat the stone as a hitting system. The purpose of this study is to investigate and to write down the on Excavation & Restoration of Traditional Gu-dul in Young-dong. It was found that Gu-dul was the most suited for natural condition. That is wind, direction, earth level. As the results of analyzing the built- technque of traditional Gu- dul : 1) The Gu-dul type is lined, scattered, and mixed. 2) The hight of bank is 25-30cm , 3) The depth of Gaejari is 30-45cm ,and The slope of that is gentle. 4) The slope of Gorae(a floor hitter) is 5 - 8%. (from the middle to the edge and from the lower part to the upper part) Therefore, For the practical application of future houses, it will be needed to develop the reasonable hitting system, and suggest to set up Gu-dul for our health and saving energy
