The purpose of this research is to analyze the formational process of traditional house in old village that is the base of development on rural area. The method of this research is to use the family genealogy of the clan society village in the analysis of building times, and constructed with investigation by the residents. The results of this research are described as follows. 1. At the first period of settlement in the middle time of 18C, the small relative family was located at nearby of each other. They were divided three group. The first entered man is B-group. 2. At the period of 19C, the family was enlarged by the descendants. But at that time, the house was constructed by small type. And some tiled roof houses were built by A-group part at under area of the village. And the construction of village boundary was nearly completed. 3. At the early period of 20C, the great houses were constructed by C-group part at the upper area of the village. 4. At the late period of 20C, there were not changed largely. But small change was occurred by the divided of site. Except two house, every houses were changed to tiled roof house. The residents have continued the strong preservation mind of environment for 300 years. The family genealogy was very useful to analyze the formational process of traditional house in the clan society village.

The present age demands a change in attitude based on a differentiated life value from city. It will provide to a fundamental solution for the gap of living level in the farming and fishing communities and recreate distinguishing comfortable communities. The purpose of this study was to deduct the formation characteristics of the townscape of Korean slow city according to analyze resources and structure of landscape. Planning of slow city’s townscape is a process of imagification of filtrate unique meaning. The glob share synchronic unique values by slow city’s network. Therefore instead of putting emphasis on promoting tourist business for short-term revenue, it will be under control to raise the standard of living and to be not forfeited and diluted the rights for sustainable slow city’s status. Participation of resident needs in this process. Accordingly it need a strategy of landscape formation design and a interdepartmental practice system for a continuous slow city's image by renewal of disharmonious townscape in the built-up area

This paper was able to indicate to the results the following thing that attempted a required potential development demand, through the contents and cost analysis in Rural Community Development Project. Nowadays, Rural Areas comparatively have a lot of development demands related to improvements environmental of residence life and construction of Urban-Rural Exchange Facility, on the other and, there is comparatively a few facilities demands regarding agriculture production. Demand is cold storage facilities and agricultural products direct sale facilities expansion to be able to raise value added of agricultural products as facilities related comparatively a little agriculture production, and an improvement of residence life comparatively has a lot of repair environmental uninhabited house repair, river-front and the roadside, rest shelter creation demands. However, that should be forecasted so that aging of rural, population decrease and development demand is caused by a lot of issues such as maintenances operation of many Urban-Rural Exchange Facilities and a similar program and content has a lot of them in bilateral adjacent zones. Therefore, in the future plan shall attempt efficiency operating facilities and a program through characterization and network of zone so that facilities and program can have complementary relation in the adjacent zones. And item development and an investor are necessary regarding new labor force supply for continuous value maintenance of space and returning to the farm that there were the reverse agriculture production and Amenity which are an rural village. Furthermore, developmental plan of rural village is necessary through the demand analyses that a citizen wishing for things.

The purpose of this study was analyzing with present conditions and content analysis of the parking area for the handicapped people. The researcher investigate to that establishment ratio, accessibility, the induction and guidance, and safe walking passage security, and proper space of the parking area for the handicapped people was established by lawfully. The results as follows. In spite of the regulation established by law, regulations was not established 40% on region government. The parking area for the handicapped people established Properly consider to the accessibility. But the size and height of the stand-up guide plate of the induction and guidance which corresponds in legal establishment standard of the handicapped people. then this research analyzes problems and suggests alternatives of the facilities.

This study is to clarify the actual conditions of school facilities in the rural area. The purpose of this paper is to present the direction for reorganization of school facilities. Surbey area was Uiseong, Gyeongbuk, the number of students decreased rapidly. And elementary, middle and high school facilities were surveyed. The results are as the follows; 1)After consider living zone, commuting distance, opinions of residents, it is advisable that the small size school(the number of students under 60) will be combined stronghold school. 2)Reorganization of school facilities should be considered that the characteristics of living zone, exchanging educational program between elementary and middle schools and an integrated use of the facility.

The purpose of this study was to propose the urban regeneration project model that reinforce public functions and contribute effectively to urban development. The results of this study were as follows. First, this study developed objective 22 different types of evaluation indexes. The indexes allows to figure out the necessities, business value and conditions of certain urban regeneration project. Second, the urban is divided to 6 types by characteristics of functionality and location. So, each regeneration project model can be applied to meet the condition of the urban.. Third, this study proposed 5 types of urban regeneration project model to fulfil roles of public and encourage the urban development. The urban regeneration project model is supposed to perform the evaluation of urban condition using the index, typological analysis under the law and scheme and analysis of function and urban location.

The purpose of this study is to examine and investigate the characteristics of locational facilities and the purchase and leisure patters of residents with its focus on downtown streets of Yeongam-eup which is a eup-level small town. In the subject downtown streets, commercial and residential functions coexisted. While most locational facilities were small-scale sale(buy), food(eat), and employment(public institutions) facilities which were needed for neighborhood life and supporting daily life, the lack of facilities which supported leisure life(enjoy) and represented small town identity was found. The most common frequency of using downtown streets by residents was 'almost everyday'; the most common intention to use was 'to purchase daily things'; and the most common purchase good was 'groceries', followed by farming machines, books, and stationery. It suggested that the use of downtown streets was characterized by daily neighborhood life. In particular, it was found that expensive goods(more than 500,000 won) were commonly purchased in neighboring middle or large cities. Thus, it is necessary to consider the option and professionality of goods. Finally, it is necessary to consider residents' accessibility through reorganizing a street form from car-focused to pedestrian-focused.

This study aims to develop furniture industry in eastern district of Gangwondo and a city of Gangneung and Donghae. Case study on furniture complex in Asahikawa, Japan and survey of furniture companies in Gangneung and Donghae city were implemented for understanding of present state, followed by analysis of problems. It can be summarized as follows. First, the basic operation method of Japanese furniture industry is to keep a balance between industry and academy. Universities or centers are in charge of education and fostering talents, such as allowing to promote and to sell products in design center gallery while corporations support it by lending expensive devices and conducting strength test analysis. Second, according to the survey of furniture companies in Gangneung, many difficulties in products development such as a shortage of designer, method, creative design were discovered. With respect to education and human force fostering, education for design and e-commerce were not sufficient, also marketing section has a problem with limited space for display and selling. Corporate support section is facing problems in receiving raw materials, aging of facilities, manufacturing and management methods. Consequently, it is considered that academic and industrial sections should implement their own roles by forming a bilateral network which connects local universities, high schools, relevant organization in the city and providence and furniture manufacturing companies to companies’ product development, human force fostering and marketing in an attempt to activate the furniture industry in this area.

The purpose of this study is to analyze size and proportion of plan and section, and derive characteristics by types of worship-space in central hall of buddhist temple. This study covers 45 buddhist temples as designated national treasure and treasure. Types of central hall of buddhist temple are 'Columnless Type', 'Inner Column Type', and 'Colonnade Type'. The results are as follows. Firstly, in the proportion of width and length, 'Columnless Type' is mostly represented with 1:0.73, 'Inner Column Type' with 1:0.54 and seems to be widening for the other types, and 'Colonnade Type' is same proportion with 'Columnless Type'. Secondly, in the proportion of width and height, 'Columnless Type' is 1:0.61 and sizes of worship-space of this type are different but the proportion is same. In the 'Inner Column Type', worship-space is enlarged because a buddhist altar is hustled into the rear. Thirdly, in the proportion of length and height, all types are represented with similar proportion as 1:1. Finally, proportion of the volume of worship-space in 'Columnless Type' is 1(width):0.74(length):0.60(height). The case of 'Inner Column Type' is 1:0.57:0.57 and length of worship-space is shortened, so characteristics of horizontality is emphasized. The space of same size with the proportion of 'Columnless Type' is situated in the inside of worship-space in 'Colonnade Type'.

Regional closed schools of about more 3,348(2010 year) have occurred all over the country according to governmental policy of 1982. Moreover, The applications of be closed school are not efficient and few studies about using community center. Also, Farmer which is the leader of revitalization of rural village could not have advantages about community center in rural area than in urban area. Therefore, The propose of study is increasing values of culture and local by using community center with closed schools. For moving ahead with study, I analysis about causes of origination of closed schools with literature and refer to the reference of the current of situation in Gyeongbuk Local Education Authority and National Statistical Office and Comprehensive Rural Community Development Program of Minister for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Korea for examination of conjugating closed school through community center. According to the research, community center was to be included hall, visiting center, exhibiting space, conference room, experience room, multipurpose room, dining room, welfare space and specialized room with revitalization of rural village. I proposed improvement of law and administration and suggest several cases which already in utilization.

The purpose of this paper is to examine their degree of housing satisfaction in Gyeongju, focused on indoor environment of urban traditional houses. Mostly built during time period from 1930's to 1980's in Seoak-dong, Bomun-dong, Namsan-dong, Sajeong-dong, and Hwangnam-dong, Gyeongju' Hanok reveals the evolutionary development to fit into the urban settlement. Urban traditional house has important meaning as a type of residence maintaining tradition of Korean residential culture, and it is the study's first goal to derive developable element by analyzing the characteristics of urban traditional house focusing on such a feature. Residents in 5 districts in Gyeongju were classified and the self-administered questionnaires were provided to them. 187 papers were used for final analysis. The data for general trend of satisfaction was seek for after its average and standard variation were calculated.

This study aims to extract improvement measures in rural new town planning by selecting two similar new towns; Jang-seong rural new town and Hwa-soon rural new town in terms of size of town and population. To carry out this study , field survey is implemented and research articles and papers are examined. Based on this study, four major issues are drawned as follows ; Firstly, the location of rural new town is the most important criteria for the new town project to be successful and sustainable village. Site of Jang-seong rural new town which is chosen arbitrarily by local county is located unsuitable area. Secondly, compulsory facilities are dismissed in land use planning because of guidelines of the rural new town are not applied. Thirdly, the size of community centers are too big for 200 households to manage, and it can be a financial burden to inhabitants. Fourthly, rural new town project is building urban districts in rural area rather than constructing rural village, so the method of rural new town planning should be reconsidered. The central government has to supervise the rural new town project throughly by put it in more systematic approach.

The purpose of this study is to extract the actual condition on the provision of rural new villages which are provided by public sectors such as rural modernized village, advanced rural village, happy village and rural new town in Cheon Nam provincial area. This study perform literature survey, research articles and data to analyze and classify. In the case of rural modernized village multiple regression analysis is carried out to look at the relationship of constructed lots with supplied lots. The outcome of the study show that the average size of new rural village is 32,497㎡ and 52,542㎡ in the case of rural modernized village and advanced rural village respectively, furthermore it shows that quiet large amount of villages are not sold as a proportion of 48% which is lower than nation-wide ratio of 55%. This study suggests the reasons for low sale of new villages and change of government rural village policy and process from public based planning to private based planning.

By this time the main tendency of studying traditional residential building was to find out and analyze the regional and spacial peculiarity. But that kind of study has been set limits in terms of including each building into one category and being researched by the viewpoint of an observers rather than a resident. Due to this kind of problem, the outcome of that study didn't obtain good results. This study, which has synthetically not been investigated until now, have put a little more deep interpretation on traditional residential building, by surveying Andong Kwon family's Yuhoedang-Chongga located 299 Musudong Daejon. The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristic of construction in the architecture of Yuhoedang-Chongga of the Andong Kwon family, and to develop the viewpoint and analytic process of traditional construction. As the first step to study it efficiently, basic architectural investigation on Yuhoedang-Chongga has been carried out with an actual evidence, and the new viewpoint of traditional residential building has been developed by this survey such as collecting, arranging, analyzing and examining this positive proof. For example, from the house-picture book handed down from that family, the condition of then established was compared with the present state of it. And then this article examines the arrangement, floor-plan types, interior, structures and condition of location. The transition-history of this house was searched into, and the development process of this was examined. The related documents was synthetically analyzed, so the characteristics of this construction was grasped.
