A Study on the Practice and Tasks of Creativity Education through Parody of Classical Poetry Choi, Hong-won This study was planned to examine the education contents and activities with the goal of boosting creativity. I attempted educational reconceptualization about creativity in order to search for the best way to realize it in Korean language education. In addition, I adopted parody and made use of it as a way to do it. Above all things, I suggested that creativity has appropriacy as well as novelty in essence and the concept in Korean language education should be focussed on psychological creativity rather than historical creativity. Based on the reconceptualization of creativity, parody has something in common with creativity in that it transforms an original thing and makes a new one. Therefore, by analysing the real parody works aimed at Hyang-ga 「Cheoyong-ga」, I could verify the possibility and tasks about it. Furthermore, I proposed the adoption of works of well-known writers for expansion of transformation and creativity, depending on the understanding of works based on the experience of the student and the tendencies of parody outputs. This study has significance in that it establishes the possibility of creativity education using the contents of Korean language education and at the same time, it brings up the limits and tasks by clarifying the realized figure and the possible one of creativity education through analysing the real parody activities.

The Study on current status and problems of ‘Pansori’ education at new ‘Korean’ textbooks in ‘2007 revised curriculum’ Kim, Nam-seok The purpose of this paper is to analyze the current status and problems of ‘Pansori’ education for high school leaners. And the purpose of this paper is to review the section and system of new ‘Korean’ textbooks in ‘2007 revised curriculum’. I have analyzed all accomplishment standards of ‘Pansori’ education in 16 kinds of textbooks that had obtained authorization. Among 16 kinds of new ‘korean’ textbooks for high school leaners, only 6 kinds of ‘Korean’ textbooks have the section of textbook on ‘Pansori’ education. In particular I have studied the accomplishment standards about ‘Pansori’ education in Choonhyangga as the scripts of ‘Pansori’ and as Korean traditional performing art. As a result, most editors of the textbooks confuse ‘Pansori’ education with the literature language education. This confusion impede the progress of normal ‘Pansori’ education for high school leaners.

杜詩 「同谷七歌」의 韓國的 受容의 한 樣相

An aspect of the acceptance of Donggokchilga (同谷七歌) in Korean poems Son, Chan-sik Donggokchilga(同谷七歌) is an old poem which consists of 7ga(七歌) following the form of 7Eon(七言) 8Gu(八句) except 8Eon(八言) of seventh Gu(七句), which shows the suffering, wearisome life Dubo(杜甫) had experienced during one month staying at Donggokhyeon(同谷縣) from November to December in 759 when he was 47 years old. It was written through the extreme situation caused by war. He describes the yearning and worry towards brother and sister who he couldn’t meet, the wander’s anguish and homesickness in his poor life, besides, his general emotions such as a sigh and grief about his reality as well. The literary men of Choson Dynasty set high value on Dubo’s poetic(杜詩) achievement and created lots of poems following his style through comparing with their own situations. As we can see Ganghimang’s(姜希孟) writtings in 15th century Josusam (趙秀三)’s writtings, the literary men of Choson Dynasty(朝鮮朝) kept on being concerned about Donggokchilga(同谷七歌) and expressed their emotional empathy with Dubo(杜甫). They accepted the forms like 5Ga(五歌), 6Ga(六歌), 7Ga(七歌), 8Ga(八歌), 9Ga(九歌), 10Ga(十歌) and the number of Gu(句數) is various like 8Gu(八句), 10Gu(十句), 12Gu(十二句), 杜詩 「同谷七歌」의 韓國的 受容의 한 樣相․103 13Gu(十三句), 16Gu(十六句). Especially, the form of 7Ga(七歌) 8Gu(八句) was accepted a lot, which shows that they tried to follow original form of Ga(元歌). The background of writing is diverse such as a farewell, the sorrow which they lost their family members, the solitude of life. Among them, the works written on the way China as an envoy and in a place of exile get a majority. Yee Hang Bok(李恒福) wrote ‘Hansiksaseonmyochajamichilga’(寒食思先墓次子美七歌) following the rhyme of Donggokchilga(同谷七歌) in Wolseong(月城) on the day of Hansik(寒食), 1598(42years old). He describes an grief and a regret recalling memory he lost his father at the age of 9 years old and preparing the day of Hansik(寒食) missing parents, elder brother, sister, nephew, Hansik(寒食)(on which sacrificial cold food is offered at the ancestral tombs). It accepts the style of Donggokchilga(同谷七歌) sincerely in an emotional point of view using the form 7GA(七歌) 8Gu(八句).

『九雲夢』 과 『金剛經』의 대응양상 (속Ⅳ)

On the correspondence between 『九雲夢』 and 『金剛經』-(The part IV) You, Byung-hwan This is a part of a series of papers of the same title dealing with correlated topics. The study investigated the aspect of correspondence between some passages of ‘六祖解義’ about ‘第二 善現起請分’ of 『金剛經』 and 『九雲夢』, and revealed that ‘六祖解義’ about ‘第二 善現起請分’ of 『金剛經』 is closely related to the whole narrative and semantic structure of 『九雲夢』 . For example, the passage ‘Deep down inside one’s mind, one thought and the other thought are always righteous.(自心中 念念常正)’ in ‘六祖解義’ actually corresponds with the story that after Seongjin experienced the incarnation through the state that one thought is connected to the other thought in his mind, he proved the truth by himself with the wisdom that he found from the experience. The phrase ‘one thought and the other thought (念念)’ in the passage means that ‘a former thought(前念) is connected to a later thought(後念).(念念相續)’, and this explains what the metempsychosis is. This phrase is related to the story that the thought of Seongjin, which reflects the endless greed in the mundane world, is connected to the thought of Yang Soyu in the step of <Seongjin → Soyu>. Also, ‘always righteous(常正)’ means the eternal wisdom which leads us to 『九雲夢』 과 『金剛經』의 대응양상 (속Ⅳ)․125 the truth or the truth itself, and ‘deep down inside one’s mind(自心中)’ means ‘proving the truth by oneself(自證)’. Thus, this study showed that the exact passage of ‘六祖解義’ corresponds with the whole narrative and semantic structure of 『九雲夢』 . Based on this example, it can be argued that 『金剛經』 is the original narrative and philosophical script of 『九雲夢』 . In this sense, 『九雲夢』 can be thought of as nothing but a fictitious narrative of 『金剛經』.

2차 세계 대전후 미국의 한국 교육에 미친 영향 - 초등학교 국어 교과서 분석을 중심으로- 이동배 이 논문은 해방후 1946년부터 1981년까지의 초등학교 1학년에서 3학 년까지 국어교과서 13종을 분석한 것이다. 비평적 담론 분석을 사용하여 이기간의 교과서가 어떻게 미국의 신식민지 지배의 영향을 받았는지 분 석하였다. 교과서에 나오는 내용을 크게 요약해보면 역사와 지리, 도덕, 학교생활, 가족 여행이나 놀이, 과학과 기술 등의 다섯 가지로 나누어진 다. 분석한 결과는 반공을 위시한 미국의 이념과 미국 스타일의 민주주 의, 미국의 사회 일반 이미지나, 미국의 생활모습이 한국적인 것인 양 많이 묘사되고 있다. 이에 반해 한국적인 것은 축소되어 있는 것이 발견 되었다. 그리고 미국의 중류층이나 한국 상류층의 전통이나 관습 가치관 등이 많이 반영되어 있었다. 반면에 한국의 전통적인 가치관, 역사 지리 를 나타내는 내용들이 많이 보이지 않았다. 이러한 미국적인 이념 반영 은 학교생활이나 놀이 여행, 과학이나 기술 등에서 많이 강화되었다. 즉 교과서를 통해 한국의 아동들이 미국의 사회 규범이나, 도덕성, 매너 등 을 배우도록 장려한 것을 볼 수 있었다. 겉으로는 진보주의 교육을 강조하면서 아동들의 관심과 아동들의 세 계를 많이 강조했지만 실제로 이 연구에서는 실제로 당시 한국 아동들의 세계나 관심사가 반영되는 것을 많이 볼 수 없었다. 또한 지속적으로 The period of American post-war influence on South Korean education ...․153 생략된 것이 있었는데 이것들은 한국에 관해 부정적인 이미지를 주는 가난한 사람들이나 도시화가 안 되거나 못사는 지역 등에 대한 내용과, 진정한 의미의 민족주의나 애국심을 심는 내용과 미국의 신식민지 영향 에 대한 비평적 내용이 없다는 것이다.

A Study on the Effective Improvement Method of Poetry Writing Education -Focusing on Elementary․Middle․High School Education- Yi, Jee-yeub․Yoo, Dong-soon How is poetry writing in the educational situation of our country? Scientific thinking and creative education are two central axes, and among these two, creative education can be achieved through writing. Poetry writing is certainly a core in writing, which means that poetry takes the most central position in all areas of literature. Poetry not only depends on the development of imagination, the biggest advantage of literature, but also has a trait of genre which breathes the breath of instantaneity and compressibility, so it cannot help bearing the correlations with the modern society which pursues acceleration more and more. In particular, as the age has changed into the sensual age where lots of expressions are embodied in video and digitalized, poetry is the most suitable genre for it. Accordingly, raising up sensitive young students through poetry writing education has more value than materialistic wealth. However, how is the educational reality of our country? Poetry writing education has rarely been conducted. There are few regular curriculum or after-school programs which conduct poetry writing education. Therefore, this thesis actually searched for the effective method of poetry 188․한어문교육 제24집 writing education in actuality focusing on elementary․middle․high school education. The effective method of poetry writing education can be specified as the improvement of curriculum based on integration of reading and writing education, development of theory․creation connecting program and educational program by level, poetic rhythm education- invigorating education for short poems and living traditional three-line Korean poems, introduction of teachers for creative education -fostering and arranging professional personnel, discovery and support of human power․construction of connecting system-a new paradigm of youth festival. It is not desirable that in the progressive 2009 revised curriculum, Korean selective subjects are divided into Speech and Writing․Ⅰ, Speech and Writing․Ⅱ, Reading and Grammar․Ⅰ, Reading and Grammar․Ⅱ, Literature․Ⅰ, Literature․Ⅱ. It is judged that even though integrated reading and writing of reading and writing education are doubly related and have supplementary trait to complement the faults of each other, connecting speech with writing and reading with grammar may not be an integration for realization of educational goal, but may be a convenient division for adjusting propositional disposition of selective courses on purpose instead of the primary purpose of learning. In addition, the study pointed out the urgency of revision in order for basic things of poetry writing in <the Level and Boundary of Writing> in curriculum to be connected in each grade. Also, the development of the educational program connecting theory and creation is necessary for more emphasizing poetry writing in the present Korean subject and writing subject and at the same time for complementing disadvantages that theory and creating are far distanced. Simultaneously, this study pointed out the necessity for the development of educational program by level which becomes the standard to be angled toward various learners. 詩 쓰기 교육의 효율적 개선방안 연구․189 In poetic rhythm education, the study tried to suggest a new model of traditional three-line Korean poem by which students can reach the emotional distance of our nation without repulsion and can newly recognize the tradition through rhythm education. Also, this thesis noticed the necessity for solving the shortage of instructors, which is one of the biggest problems in our education and insisted on the introduction of teachers for creative education. Because there are lots of qualified writers, it will be better to extend the system of adjunct professor present in university into the elementary or middle school education. To foster human power who are outstanding in poetry writing as professional, the thesis suggested the supplementation of systems and the construction of connecting system in order for them to expand their poetic imagination with pride as much as they like. This thesis made the researcher realize the fact that poetry writing education of our country are facing very serious conditions. The research hopes that this thesis will be reflected in the real site of education and will make a little contribution to building up the educational ground where students can be raised up as human power full of creative and emotional richness.

Understanding of ecofeminism and the method of poetry education Lee, Yun-seung This study points on the possibility of utilizing ecofeminism as a method of poetry education. For that purpose, this study subjected korean women’s poetry. The discussion about the women’s literature, including feminism, has been criticized, because it has been limited its focus only on traditional poetry education, and as a result it did not reveal the essence of women’s literature. Literature education needs to have an interest on educating general public beyond traditional university education system. Ecofeminism is a progressive theory that criticizes fundamentally inequality and oppression occuring in most of relations including ruling and subordination, man and woman, human and nature and responds practically. Ecofeminism is fundamentally sprit indwelling in men’s attitude on living and death. A study on the ecofeminism in the literature is, however, insufficient because of much misunderstanding on the matter of ecology and feminism. The education of women’s poetry which expresses feminine self awareness and experience as women shoud be conducted on the basis of recognizing and respect to the unique life women. Their poetry has the symbol of nature 에코페미니즘의 이해와 시교육 방법 연구․221 in plenty and the ecological ideology of life that all living things are very important each other equally. They pursues such primitive orderly world as divine nature. It appears that ecofeminism is one of the recursive instincts toward divine nature. They find the divinity of nature and the power of life, in addition to empathic on participating in ego as a small universe actively. Understanding ecofeminism poems aims at fundamentally recognizing the relation between human and nature. Like this, it is essential to renew the limitation of a traditional literary education by analyzing new types of text and attemping a new educational methodology.

Acceptance and Creation for Literary Lessons through Poetic Therapy -Case Study - Kim, Yeong-gwan The investigator approached a range of pathological issues faced by modern adolescents through the genre of “poetry” during literary classes. First the concept of poetic therapy was reviewed along with the background of poetic therapy from the psychoanalytical and historical perspective. The previous research findings were also analyzed home and abroad to understand how far the concerned discussions had come. The main section of the study identified the elements as the premises of poetic therapy and presented a case study to show in which process “poetic therapy through acceptance and creation” would be achieved in actual poetic therapy. The starting point of poetic therapy should be the right understanding of both the teachers and students and the perception of the latter’s problematic behavior. The teachers and students select poems for therapy according to the individual narratives of the students, accept them after appreciation, and resolve suppressed emotions through creation by engaging in interactions. The process of poetic therapy involves such psychological mechanisms as purification, assimilation, and regulation. The isolated inner side can be 244․한어문교육 제24집 gradually opened through resolution by purification, fulfillment by assimilation, and experience by regulation. Once passing the resolution and fulfillment stage through purification and assimilation, respectively, one can see his or her experiences one step distant from them. The students can open their hearts that were once shut against themselves, others, and the world. Opening their hearts is to embrace themselves and the world, see situations objectively, and get to know the real ego as to what they have distorted. Based on the premise of a need for and possibility of poetic therapy, the study offered cases of poetic therapy through the acceptance and creation of poems to expand the scope of appreciation- and analysis-centric literary education and provide active literary lessons to treat and correct the students’ problematic behavior through those discussions.

Analysis of writing strategies in 「Korean」 textbook for high school: Based on self-regulated writing strategies Oh, Sae-young In the 21st century, the ‘communicative competency’ has been accounted. The ‘communication competency’ is and important capability to communicate with others clearly by structurzing and systematizing their thoughts in various ways. It is accomplished through ‘speaking, listening, reading and writing’ activities. Especially the writing activity is a higher-order thinking process that requires wide knowledge of language. So far, the literacy education is not regarded as an important part in Korea. Furthermore the education for writing that needs higher-level thinking process does not performed appropriately. Thus we need to study on the direction of learning to fulfill the needs and the flow of time by examining curriculum and contents for writing education. In this paper, the 7th revision of Korean language curriculum and writing strategies are analyzed using 16 kinds of Korean textbooks. The term, ‘writing strategy’, is not appeared in the education curriculum. And the achievement standards concerned with writing process do not exist either. The similar analysis results are issued and writing strategy is also absent 2011년 도입 고등학교 󰡔국어󰡕 교과서 쓰기전략 분석․281 in Korean language textbook. From now on, textbooks should be changed to the type that enables teach self-regulated writing strategy efficiently. The goal of learning should be changed to acquire capability to manage a higher-level problem through self-regulated writing strategy. It is required to teach writing skills properly by configuring that the ‘writing’ is learned in ‘body’ of the section of writing. The learning activity should be configured with learning contents that set up writing strategy correctly focusing on its own self-regulated writing strategy. Learning objectives, writing learning in ‘body’ and learning activity should be reformed to perform writing activity by establishing self-regulated writing strategy perspectively

The proposal of the syllabus of lectures for Korean residents aborad -the needs analysis–based of learners- Kim, Su-mi These days, the number of Korean residents abroad is increasing aiming to establish their original form, to understand their native language, to enter the college and the like. Eduction of culture for Korean residents abroad has to be taught culture itself as well as the elements of culture that exist in a language. And also current education of culture for Korean residents abroad need to be strengthened the contents of education to understand modern society of Korea because it has slanted to traditional things. As the number of Korean residents abroad who visit Korea is increasing and being diverse, the education of culture should differentiate the contents and methods according to their purpose of learning, the residential countries, and the cultural areas. For these reasons, the content-based syllabus of lectures has been chosen through the needs analysis of learners by questionnaire. But the syllabus of lectures suggested to be approached flexibly considering the learner who could have the purpose of various learning actually, such as entrance into a school of higher grade, the establishment of their original form, and understanding. The purpose of culture education of Korean residents abroad is to understand Korean society and cultural characteristics to perform a 300․한어문교육 제24집 communication successfully. The purpose of this study is also to contribute to settlement of the original shape as a Korean, at the same time, to have a quality of a citizen of the world through the various cultural experiences. In order to establish these purposes, it was suggested to understand culture and the difference between cultures, the symbol of a country, food, family relationships, the code of conduct, the life of school and work place, history, people, peer culture, politics, economy, Hangul, the characteristics of Hangul, housing life, clothing habits, national holidays, play, art, and literature as a specific subject. This study has a meaning because of showing the needs tendency of learners who live abroad and have various nationalities. On the other hands, it was based on the domestic education of Korean residents abroad, so there is a limitation to apply for the situation of residential countries. For this reason, next study would be promoted the effective value of culture education of Korean residents abroad.

A Study on Korean-Language Culture Education for Marriage Immigrants -Focusing on 「Shimcheon-jeon」, the Pansori Novel- Kim, Mi-jin Along with the growing number of overseas students, there has been also the greater number of marriage immigrants. Nevertheless, the cultural education, the requisite area to be accomplished for the marriage immigrants, are not being properly carried out. The relation between the language and the culture is apparently inseparable. Consequentially, the Korean-language education should not only emphasize the language functional education such as speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary training but also include the culture education at the same time. In particular, for the marriage immigrants, the cultural education for the family relations is necessarily recommended, for each nation and each society have different rules and duties to maintain the family tight. As a text to combine such culture education with the function education, the study has collected 「Shimcheon-jeon」, which is one of the pansori novel. 「Shimcheon-jeon」 was considered to be the appropriate research subject since it has so many different versions and is still used in various media in smartly transformed forms. Once 「Shimcheon-jeon」 is carefully examined, the relation between the parents and the children and other relation between the husband and the wife, the common cultural differences that the marriage immigrants would experience, are definitely discovered. First of all, because the novel has been worked based on the filial duty, it would be an efficient text for the marriage immigrants to understand the filial duty which Koreans have valued for long. Second, as 「Shimcheon-jeon」 also describes how to make a positive husband and wife relation in the story, the book would be a good reference for the marriage immigrants to fulfill such relation for themselves. For the application methods, the different versions of 「Shimcheon-jeon」 were compared based on its descriptive property. Afterwards, the work has the marriage immigrants look for the most universal idea of Koreans for the filial duty. Next, with Bbaengdeok Uhmmie, one of the characteristics of the original 「Shimcheon-jeon」 as well as the main topic of this study, the marriage immigrants will learn about a negative husband and wife relation as they are also told to think of ways for the positive relation of their own. Lastly, through 「Shimcheon-jeon」 in many different visual mediae, the marriage immigrants will be eventually familiar with Korean culture. Especially, the marriage immigrants are expected to discuss the differences between Korean culture and their own culture after they see the food, clothing, and shelter appeared in 「Shimcheon-jeon」 through media. This educational activity will lead the marriage immigrants to the better awareness towards the culture education contents as well as to the better skills in listening and speaking. The study anticipates that such cultural education based on 「Shimcheonjeon 」 would be a great help for the marriage immigrants to have better understanding for the family culture in Korea and better Korean language abilities. But still, more studies on how to improve the awareness of the cultural education necessity and how to conduct such education to the marriage immigrants should be carried out further.

The Present and Thematic Study of Korean Chinese Poems in the 2000s Song, Myung-hee〮․Ding, Feng-xi In the modern and post-modern context, Korean Chinese poetry demonstrates both its inheritance to the ethnic literary tradition and its encounter with the transformation of modernity. First of all, while inheriting and sticking to its own ethnic tradition, it exhibits originality in the refinement of language, the tension of structure, the multiplicity of the thematic concerns, and so on. Secondly, concerning the modernity of poetry, it reveals the spiritual crisis experienced by the modern man, embodied in the loss of a spiritual homeland, anxiety of existence, deconstruction of sanctity and centre and other aspects. And finally, in terms of eco-literature, it indicates a literary tendency that suggests the unity of traditional eastern culture with ecology. Although it manifests the characteristics of the third space diaspora literature in the transitional period, in terms of avant garde poetic explorations, the new millennium poetry also represents a conservative tendency and consequent limitations, which has become a negative factor that hinders the evolution of Korean Chinese literature

A Study on Oh, Sae-young’s Poetry in Cognitive Constitution & Being Consciousness Lee, Song-hee This paper looks over how to compose the poetry text through the strategy of narrators’ experiential metaphor in Oh, Sae-young’s poetry. Oh, Sae-young’s poetry not only suggest negative awareness to material civilization and show despair in life, but also demonstrate the creation of the method to approach one’s life by accepting the way of the world into the inner side. Oh, Sae-young’s poetry(The narrator’s cognition) attracts information about image schima narrator’s wants to insinuate which is based on experiential imagination into the source domain so as to reach the target domain, which means consciousness of loss, consciousness of wander, consciousness of transcendental. It instills that our life is wherever all the things exist together in readers with struggling to find out what consciousness of loss, consciousness of wander mean for a long time ,so that readers perceive the poetic destination in life positively. In conclusion, Oh, Sae-young’s poetic world gets us to deliberate where the aim of our life is narrating through binding his own experiential imagination with the poetic metaphor.

A Study on the movie-viewing experience in a movie theater -A focus on the film ‘Samgeori Theater’- Kim, Joong-chul This thesis is a study on the meaning of ‘movie-viewing experience’ in a movie theater, through a analyzing the film ‘Samgeori Theater’. Film as a genre and movie theater as a place are different in a conception. A movie theater is the symbolic place of popular culture in our time. The film ‘Samgeori Theater’ has many interesting scenes related with movie theater experience. The story of this film is that the heroine Sodan has a good time along with ghosts in the Samgeori theater. The ghosts are actors and actresses of a discontinued film at the Samgeori theater. They wish to continue to show that film. Sodan rescues the ghosts(actors and actresses) from suffering in a way to find that film and to continue to show it. In this film ‘Samgeori Theater’, darkness of movie theater has a meaning of a essential element to mutual understand between spectators and characters. And this film demolishes a boundary between fiction and reality, or between inside of film-story and outside of it. Characters in a film come out of a screen into the movie theater. The film ‘Samgeori Theater’ shows that many desires are in a movie theater, and that a movie theater consummates understanding and curative functions.

A Study on the Plays by Park Yeong-Ho at the End of Japanese Colonial Ruling - With a focus on Lamplights, Wild Boars, and Water Birds - Yuk, Jeong-hee This study examined Park Yeong-ho’s works at the end of Japanese colonial ruling to understand the concrete patterns of characters embodied in national theater, finding out that there were differences in the patterns of character embodiment according to the situations of the times even though they were created under the same goals. Lamplights worked to consolidate the inferiority of Joseon people through the schematization of the same narrative depressed in negativity; Wild Boars embodied the superior and elite group of Joseon people, who were opposite to the majority of inferior Joseon people, as almost perfect characters and made them represent the ruling Japanese; and Water Birds presented all of the characters in a positive fashion even though they were not superior, graduating from the old negative perception of Joseon people. Even the characters who were like the spokesmen of the Japanese were reproduced as youths from the working class instead of the ruling class. They all conveyed the ruling Japanese’s governance strategies that varied according to the times with such dramatic devices as “speaking-centric” schematized narrative and conclusive reading, enlightening remarks of figure of speech and proposition, and reproduction through “showing-centric” stagization.

A Study on the Literary Film based on the Poetry Jung, Jin-kyung This paper closely examined how the special characteristics of the films that are based on poetry are expressed. This paper focused on the arrangement of images and the method with which significance is generated during the process of adopting poetic characteristics to films. The similarity between the poems and the films does not stop merely with the formative aspect, but moves onto the aspect in which significance is generated. Charade is created since the image technology that is in line with this uses poetic language to create significance. The essence of image that perceives the target as sensation and perception, interpreting the significance and structure effectively is not unrelated to the human beings’ symbolic thinking system that is accumulated culturally. Aesthetics that are created by the poetic language can be considered integration of the form, essence of the image, and the symbolic thinking system of the human beings. If the form that embraces all these three is the poetic symbol in case of poem, it is the Charade in case of the films. These two are drastically different in a way since they use text and image, but they are similar in the sense that they create similar sense of aesthetics since they conjure up the images of the scenes by leveraging human beings’ perception and sensation. Use of the image in films is used similar to the original version, and the parts that are created by the film-like characteristics apply similar language. Scope of film level discourse is influenced depending on the method of applying same language (that is, method that is inclined to by the poetic genre). In particular, what is noteworthy is that the film scenes created due to the need or the narrations are made based on poetry. Created contexts create time level cause-effect relationship to play the role of making people understand the film level discourse. Poetic language that the Charade makes in a film does not merely increase the artistic value as the symbol and metaphor casting away the language. It also overcomes the limitations of the time that the films have: Films need to give form to many in a relatively short period of time. Creative context that results due to the diverse Charade methods is evaluated in a positive manner given that it is the artistic upgrade of images.

The Study on Gangwon-Yeongdong Regional Literature Nam, Gi-taek The purpose of this paper is to shed light on the characteristic in Gangwon-Yeongdong regional literature. Regional literature tries to show modernity and regional characteristics. Fair value assessment of the regional literature can help rectify the unfair cultural structure and is a way to develop Korean literature itself. This paper focus on the characteristics in regional literature, paying special attention to poetic works which are considered as post-colonial literature. There are two facets in regional literature; One is alienation from mainstream literature, the other is possibility of minority literature. This thesis tries to apply the modernity in broad sense to its literary works based on the efforts to examine regional characteristics. The literary world which emphasizes the universal lyricism is occupying a conspicuous position in Korean regional literature such as the trend of reflecting the regional traits. Efforts are needed to be made to revitalize regional literature through various means. For this, efforts as well as a scholarly critical-minded approach to the regional writers are essential. Moreover, locality, or ecological․coal mine․maritime literature in Gangwon-Yeongdong regional literature, can be the strategic objective to which the literature should pay attention in modern times. The problem of regional literature and portraying such regional life is one of the alternative, strategic categories that help overcome today’s Korean literary landscape.

Ilyeon-the Most Reverend Priest’s character is zen priest harmonizing with Zen Buddhism(선종) and dogmatic Buddhism(교종), a pioneer of national identity, is a devoted son. In a word, he is the greatest man that ever lived practicing Hongikingan(홍익인간). The remaining theme is the development of practical genre based on Ilyeon-the Most Reverend Priest(일연 국사)’s storytelling.

A study on the characteristics of novels written in Chinese at the transition period to modern era Kim, Hyung-joong while researching on the structural characteristics of novels written in Chinese(Hanmunsoseol) at the transition period to modern era, this study aims to reveal their significance in the history of novel . The novels are evaluated as the typical narrative genre at that time since they were read as much as new novels(Sinsoseol) written in Korean by people, and furthermore, they had many people in the leadership of that time as their readers because of being published in newspapers such as ‘Daehabilbo’, ‘Hwangseongsinmun’ and etc. and in magazines such as ‘Sonyeonhanbando’, ‘Taegeukhakbo’ and so on. The novels written in Chinese at the transition period to modern era clearly kept many characteristics of ancient novels(Gososeol) such as Chinese-style sentences with Korean grammatical elements, an explanatory introduction of the author, the narrative structure, description manners and so on. However, The novels were very different in that they were critical to corrupted bureaucrats and emphasized the enlightenment thought which advocated studying abroad, modern education, industrial development and also supported the gender equality. The novels followed the style of the novels written in Chinese of the previous period, but they were different in contents reflecting the social need for ‘enlightenment’. Thus, the novels written in Chinese at that time can be thought of not just as an imitation or a revival of the ancient novel but as a transition stage playing a role connecting between the ancient novels and the new novels. Some studies indicated that the novels were a revival of the Joseon novels written in Chinese with new tendencies, which had been unpopularly maintained through the history of novel. In this sense, the novels written in Chinese at the transition period to modern era clearly reflected the characteristics and style of the novels written in Chinese of the end of Joseon dynasty and provide important cues for the inquiry of literary aspects at that time. This could be the significance of the novels written in Chinese at the transition period to modern era in the history of novel.

On the nature of the restricted conjugation of reduced predicate forms Song, Hong-kyu This paper investigated the characteristics of reduced predicate forms which underwent syllabic restructuring taking place after the deletion of a stem-final vowel and tried to explain the relationship between an original predicate form and its reduced form and also the nature of restricted conjugation of reduced forms. First of all, this paper argued that the relationship between an original form and its reduced form is established between their conjugational forms. The syllabic restructuring occurring after vowel deletion is thought of as taking place during the formation of conjugational forms of the stem. Thus, this study takes a stand different from the claim that the relationship between an original form and its reduced form is established between the original form and the reduced form of a predicate stem, which are analyzed as having the status of an independent stem. Based on the argument presented above, this paper also showed that the restricted conjugation of reduced predicate forms could be explained by the proposal that the syllabic restructuring of a stem does not take place before verbal endings which start with a vowel. Thus, it seems that the restricted conjugation of reduced predicate forms is not related to the characteristics of predicates which have the incomplete conjugational paradigm or some constraints imposed upon the combination of a stem and endings.
