Research on Detection and Tracking of Player in Broadcast Sports Video

The paper presents a method which bases on support vector machine(SVM) and particle filtering for detecting and tracking player in the broadcast sports video. Firstly, through the combination of Support Vector Classification and CourtSegmentationmethod, it proposes the algorithm for examining automatically members in those videos, which is used to initialize the trace of subsequent visual objects; secondly, by combing support vector regression frame and the one of sequential Monte Carlo, it brings forth the improved particle filtering algorithm which is applied to follow visual objects, enabling the traditional particle filtering method to achieve robust trail of such targets even when the particle set is small, together with effective enhancement of the running efficiency of tracking system.
Feature-preserving, Adaptive and Anisotropic Smoothing Algorithm for Triangular Mesh Models

Despite the great success in smoothing of triangular mesh, the classical methods mostly require human interactions. In order to reduce the parameter settings, an adaptive and anisotropic smoothing algorithm for removing noise and preserving features of triangular mesh model was proposed. First calculate the expected normal vector of the model triangles, the expected normal vector should be an accurate representation of the desired movement direction and be similar to the original surface normal vector, and then we compute the value of the offset value. We develop an adaptive coefficient scheme which can avoid the parameter settings to obtain the coefficient value for each vertex. Finally, we updated every vertex’s position of the model by formula. Experimental results show that the algorithm can be adaptive to preserve sharp features and avoid shrinkages by comparing with classical methods.
An Efficient Compression Method in Wireless Sensor Networks

Sensor data exhibit strong correlation in both space and time. Many algorithms have been proposed to utilize these characteristics. However, each sensor just utilizes neighboring information, because its communication range is restrained. Information that includes the distribution and characteristics of whole sensor data provides other opportunities to enhance the compression technique. In this paper, we propose an orthogonal approach for compressing sensor readings based on a novel feedback technique. That is, the base station or a super node generates Huffman code for the compression of sensor data and broadcasts it into sensor networks as Huffman code. All sensor nodes that have received the information compress their sensor data and transmit them to the base station. We call this approach as feedback-diffusion and this modified Huffman coding as sHuffman coding. In order to show the superiority of our approach, we compare it with the existing data compression algorithms in terms of the lifetime of the sensor network. As a result, our experimental results show that the whole network lifetime was prolonged by about 30%.
Degrees of Freedom for Complex MIMO Multiple-Way Relay Channel

The amount of diversity or the number of degrees of freedom (DOF) can be increased by multiple antennas in wireless communication systems. In this paper, we study the DOF of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) multiple-way relay channel. There are two groups of source nodes and several one relay node which are equipped with multiple antennas in this kind of channel. Each source node in one group exchanges independent message with the source node in the other group via the relay node. We first show the upper bound on the total DOF for this channel. Then we extend it to the complex MIMO multiple-way relay channel and present the corresponding upped bound.

With the rapid development of Internet technology, the Internet has become an essential part of our everyday life. However, Internet can pose potential threats to government authorities, economic development or social stability in any country if false information, unsolicited or malicious public opinions are uncontrollably disseminated in large scale on the Internet, thanks to the attributes of low cost and anonymity of information exchange on the Internet. It is evident that an ineffective supervision and monitor of public opinions in the virtual cyber space can lead to serious social crisis or social instability in our real life. This paper is concluded by a summary of IPOMAS (Internet Public Opinion Monitoring and Analyzing System) implementation including the technical challenges, lessons learned and project outcomes through the lifecycle of the design, development and implementation of IPOMAS.

Housing in MMORPG (Multi Massive Online Role Playing Game) expresses players’ personality and confer joy of having players’ own place. Housing system is not just a place to rest but also to customize the character and personality of a player. Even if the player has logged off, his housing remains in game world and keep exposed to other players. But more importantly, it is related to significance and connection between players and game. Eternity, customizing, limitation of space, additional use and map changes are some of the characteristics of housing system. Some suggestions are made to improve game environment; significance, space, personalization, hubs, access and introducing urban planning. Housing system is continuously evolving and can offer everlasting joy to players with its indigenous characteristics.

Disturbances to a system are inevitable. Resilience is thus utmost necessary to the system as it has to respond to the stresses and disturbances to keep the system stable. Cyber physical systems are physical engineered systems whose operations are monitored, coordinated, controlled and integrated by a computing communication core which is expected to transform the physical world around us. This paper proposes an autonomic self healing architecture for improving resiliency in cyber physical system using autonomic computing self management properties. This is a layered architecture in which each stage has a mechanism to collect state information of the system and monitor the system behavior, if the performance of the system is degraded in comparison to the normal level, self healing module is activated to facilitate recovery from damaged state and restoring to normal state, thereby achieving resilience in the system.
A Fast Immune Recognition Model based on Immune Response

This paper proposes a fast immune recognition model based on immune response. Inspired by biological immune system, AIS for anomaly detection has been adopted widely because of its analogy with body resistance in the immune system provided against agents which causes diseases. This paper mainly studies correspondence between immune response and anomaly detection. Compared with traditional AIS, the change of antigen type is judged by statistical techniques, which ignores the differences of the different systems. Antibody recognition is initiated by the proposed model only when the type of antigen has changed, which improves the efficiency of the algorithm. Complexity analysis shows the proposed algorithm is a linear algorithm. The usefulness of the proposed model is demonstrated through experiments. The experiments illustrate the availability and feasibility of the model.

Although a lot of research is being conducted to apply augmented reality (AR) to education, there is little adequate research on how to design AR-based learning systems so that they foster deep understanding in learners. In this article, we present and exemplify a learner-centered instructional model that incorporates AR contents as a form of blended learning strategy. To this end, we divide the instructional model into lecture-type formal learning and purely self-directed form of informal learning, and go on to explain the methodology and process of designing instructional model according to each type. Through this approach, we show that the benefits of using AR extend into the realm of education, and verify that AR-based learning systems offer a potentially effective method for foreign language instruction.

Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) is one of the important application areas of the Internet of Things (IoT). The key issue is how to process the huge events generated by IoT system to support ITS. In this paper a proactive parallel complex event processing method is proposed for congestion control in large-scale ITS. A Bayesian model averaging method is used to obtain accurate predictions under different event context. Based on the predictive analysis, a parallel Markov decision processes model is designed to support decision making for large-scale ITS. An optimized parallel policy iteration algorithm is proposed based on state partition and policy decomposition. The experimental evaluations show that this method has good accuracy and scalability when used to process congestion control in large-scale ITS.
Multimedia Service using CSMA/GPS in Vehicular Communication Network

This paper1deals with the seamless multimedia service mechanism in vehicle communication network(VCN). The proposed mechanism uses caching/switching/multicasting agent(CSMA), a partial of GPS information and multicast transmission in VCN network. The CSMA controls some smart access points(SAP) with buffer, and may generate multicast group address for live-video in local-vehicle-network(LVN). And it manages serviced video items, switches multimedia packets to SAPs requesting service, and performs smooth handover for vehicles using table. The SAP generates modified virtual address(IP address) for vehicles that enter the VCN network. The proposed virtual IP address consists of LVN network ID, vehicle ID, GPS information(driving distance) and a driving direction mode bit. And the CSMA and SAP provide smooth handover using their service tables and a seamless multimedia service. Also, this proposed mechanism may provide promptly multicast service for live-video because multicast mechanism is performed within the VCN network, and reduce the possibility of cutoff service and packet loss because it uses GPS in-formation.
Improving the Self-adaptive Rate Control to Wireless Multicast for Virtual Environment

Distributed virtual environment requires high stability and low delay to support real-time data transmission for large number of users. In wireless network-based virtual environment, traditional transmission protocol fails to meet the requirements of virtual environment due to variety of nodes distribution, complexity, and difference of bandwidth. Based on our research of rate control for distributed virtual environment, we hereby propose a bandwidth self-adaptive rate control algorithm based on layers of interest. According to effective bandwidth of proxy gateway in distributed virtual environment, this method solving the problem of time inconsistency between publishers and subscribers, constraining occupied bandwidth within the range of effective bandwidth of gateways. Our experiments prove that this algorithm can solve the problem that users’needs of interactive with each other very frequently in wireless network virtual environment. The algorithm automatically match data transmission based on bandwidth and the received datagram is smooth and much more stable. The prime performances meet our expected research objectives.

Recently, Since people always carry mobile devices and can learn whenever and wherever by using not only phone, text, SNS, and TV, but also using learning device, recorder, e-book, e-dictionary, and internet surfing due to rapid distribution of smartphone, the interest in intelligent learning agent related to situated learning is increasing more. The method of practicing the situated learning theories developed so far provides learning contents to learners by analyzing their environment information along with their basic information. However, if learning contents are recommended by considering only basic and partial information of a learner, in many cases, they do not match with the demand from the learner, so it could become factors that decrease learner’s learning desire and obstruct inducing learning motivation. Therefore, this study propose an intelligent learning agent that automatically recommends learning contents that learners want in timely manner in their real life by analyzing not only learners’ location information, but also their available time for learning and Internet activity pattern.
The Multi-target Localization Algorithm via Compressed Sensing

A multi-target localization algorithm based on compressed sensing was proposed in this paper. The issue of multi-target localization was transformed into compressed sensing. The algorithm greatly reduced the amount of wireless network’s communication data by transferring most of the computing work to the central server. This method made full uses of the priori information of the signal and the support set. It combined Kalman filter with Bayesian compressed sensing to improve the localization accuracy and noise immunity. Simulation results showed that the proposed method has good noise immunity, robustness and localization accuracy compared with traditional localization methods.

During oil production an acoustic communication mode with downhole oil pipe as channel is one of feasible downhole control method. Based on a mechanism analysis, this paper presents a pipe acoustic transmission mechanism model. The model is derived to obtain a pipe dispersive equation. The simulation of phase velocity, group velocity and dispersion curves of three common oil pipes indicates that spectral distribution of longitudinal wave transmission in pipe presents a comb filter structure, and the passband/stopband distribution approximates periodicity and symmetry on spectrogram. The passband range, stopband range and amplitude value changes with length, cross area, density of oil pipe and joint. And the influence rule is given. Then the optimal frequency is suggested through simulation for downhole wireless communication tools design.

Six-Sigma quality enhancement methodology has received important attention in various software development and service organizations. There have been some researches recognizing serious software success factors for Six-Sigma execution. Within available resource compulsions, an immediate adoption of all serious software success factors may not be possible. In order to be able to consolidate resources for some of the most important factors, top priority serious software success factors have to be determined. This will enable Six-Sigma practitioners and policy makers to understand the relative importance among the software success factors and develop improvement ideas for resource provision. The aim of this paper is to present fuzzy hierarchy process (FHP) based on methodology with the use of triangular fuzzy values for pair wise comparison scale to top priority serious success factors for Six-Sigma execution. The weights of success factors are determined by software experts including software managers, Six-Sigma Green-Belts and Black-Belts from different multinational organizations in the software industry in India. This paper is an attempt to top priority to the serious software success factors of executing Six-Sigma methodology by using FHP approach.
Application of Improved Grid Search Algorithm on SVM for Classification of Tumor Gene

According to the merits and shortcomings of the traditional gridsearch algorithm in parameters optimization of support vector machine (SVM), an improved grid search algorithm is proposed. Dichotomous search algorithm is used to reduce target searching range. First, searching range is determined roughly, and a set of parameters are obtained. Then fine search is applied in reduction the range for searching, and searching the optimum parameters.Three kinds of famous tumor gene data set are used in the comparison experiments to validate the classification accuracy of principal component analysis (PCA)-SVM and kernel principal component analysis (KPCA)-SVM. Experiment results and data analysis shows that, comparing with traditional gridsearch algorithm, the proposed method has higher classification accuracy and less search time.
Study on Money Number Recognition Arithmetic

Money number recognition refers to the money of the currency, the currency and authenticity recognition. Money number recognition system is the kernel module of self-service system, and the major applied range is cash-related equipments. In this paper we design a kind of money number recognition system. The quick positioning of money number is achieved based on gray value accumulation. The edge line of money number area is detected using the least square method. Using geometrical rotation method and gray adjacent interpolation method to realize the number of tilt correction. Based on the character structure characteristic and the imaginary line and character of the point of intersection features, formation recognition judgment tree, realized the character recognition. The simulation experiment indicates that this algorithm has a high recognition accuracy under the condition of rejection.

With advancements in network technologies, network virtualization has been proposed to efficiently provide a large number of services and flexible management by utilizing limited resources over existing networks as much as possible. Network virtualization has been proposed as a new paradigm for networks, as it simplifies complicated network configurations for convenient maintenance through the maximum utilization of limited network resources. However, problems have arisen due to network virtualization, such as how to assign real network components that are compatible with virtual network components over a large number of virtual machines existing in a network. In particular, the service-chaining concept—where a network flow only passes through needed services—has been newly introduced by combining the recently highlighted Software-Defined Network with a virtualization concept called Network Function Virtualization. As a result, studies on which virtual machines are selected and how to connect them have increased ever more. Accordingly, this paper aims to identify virtual machines that are compatible with service chaining in a virtual network environment where virtual machines are dispersed, and it proposes a method of how to create a path by connecting virtual machines.

The present task allocation methods exists some problems, such as lower execution efficiency and poor consideration on mobility and security. Therefore, on the basis of MP2P network, the paper proposed a task allocation method based on modified Vicsek model in the view of cooperatives, security and mobility. From the contrast experiment with DFPSO and Random, we concluded that the average execution time delay of proposed method increased 17.6% on average than DFPSO. And the number of completed tasks increased 18.5% and 1 times than DFPSO and Random.

In distance education, many different questions are required to evaluate the applicant's abilities or to assist effective study to learner anytime and anywhere. To satisfy requirement, we proposed the system that make question to match multiple meanings against multiple terminologies in different form whenever applicants try to take tests. For making many different questions, process in server loads terminologies and their meaning from database, and then relocates the meanings randomly using random number before making question tests with pairs of a meaning and a terminology. The system can offer many different question tests whenever applicants try to take tests or learners study. Thus the system has the advantage to fairly evaluate applicants’ abilities or not to bore learners.

A device of measuring micro-force was designed, which can measure the maximum loadingcapacityof the insect’s leg which can slide on water surface. The device consists of two parts of micro-force measurement and feed motion control, micro-force measurement accuracy is 0.1μN, micro-analytical balance was chosen to accomplish this function; The smallest linear feed motion speed is 1mm/min, AC servo motor was chosen as the actuator, the servo control system consists of the S3C2410 and drive circuit, etc, fuzzy PID control algorithm has been adopted to achievethis function. Micro analytical balance and servo control system communicate with the computer via RS-232C.

The paper presents an evolution of personalized courses based on genetic algorithms (PCEGA). The genetic algorithm are successfully applied in the dynamic update process of the course during the whole learning process. Under this framework of this algorithm, the target user model updates dynamically, and the courses evolve during the process. It provides a good general purpose and scalable framework that addresses the personalized course generation in an online learning environment.

The P2P multicast that has been recently presented as an alternative to the client-server architectures has been getting much persuasion by the system resource and the network bandwidth and the advancement of the network cost. Also, studies on P2P networks for the effective services of VOD streams in the mobile environment have been actively carried out. They however, have failed to consider fully characteristics proper to mobile nodes, such as the constraints of available resources and the variability of service time and location, since their concepts have merely expanded the characteristics of the existing P2P wired networks to mobile nodes. We suggested a scheme for the effective VOD streaming service on the mobile node oriented P2P network. Specifically, our scheme prevents the overconsumption of resources for a parent node when it uploads streams for other node, and enables a child node to keep downloading streams effectively even after its parent node exits the network. Our simulation showed the favorable performance of our system compared to the existing systems, in terms of resource utilization for nodes joining the P2P service and the utilization of shared cache.

Based on the in-depth study of the Android embedded application program frame and project file, this paper proposes a code generation method based on model rule, the method discusses the problem of the layout of the Android embedded application interface, defines the constraint rules between the components and component object model and event model. And code generation rules on the Android embedded applications are defined and used throughout the code generation process, it solves the visualization development of Android embedded application program and the code automatic generation. Finally, a simple examples is given to verify the process of automatic generation of Android embedded code.

In a wireless sensor network, energy efficiency is critical issue on several topics. For sending sensed data to the sink node, many upstream sensor nodes are role as relaying node. Direct transmission is not proper in a wireless sensor network. We propose hop-based cluster head selection method. This method provides small number of cluster heads and connectivity to the sink node with these cluster heads. By providing shortest path to the sink node, wireless sensor network prolongs the life time. We also compared with other method with simulation.

In this paper, improved information entropy model and SOM neural networks are proposed for evaluating technical and tactical abilities of football teams in Euro 2012.Information entropy model is an effective performance evaluation tool. As a fine clustering tool, SOM has been used widely. The approach make input space cluster automatically and the learning process of clustering doesn’t need supervision. At the same time, eleven indicators that reflect technical and tactical ability of football teams are selected. Then, by means of entropy method and clustering analysis with statistic data of Euro 2012, characteristic and law is discovered between competition results and technical and tactical abilities, and a method for comprehensive assessment of technical and tactical abilities of football teams was proposed.
