A Plan of Metadata Construction for Activating Archives of Old Documents in Korea

Old documents are 1) a valuable asset for research on historical cultures of traditional eras and 2) material for creative work in cultural contents. But the current archives contain only rough and basic metadata, and for precisely that reason, they are practically lacking of utility. To overcome this issue, an understanding of the characteristics of archives—and that of users’ information needs—is prerequisite to all else. Also, there is a need to put forward analysis of the present status metadata, and a problems study-based improvement plan. An archive takes the form of documental exchanges between issuers and recipients. And its contents are vast in their scope and substance that they cannot help but differ from the standard patterns of an archive of general documents. Once this complexity is factored into the metadata equation, issuers and recipients, summarized headings of the archeve contents, commentaries on various historical jargons, let alone historical-cultural background for the content’s inclusion must all be implicated in detail. Remedial measures for metadata will allow for inter-agency linkage, which in turn will activate the archive in use.
Infrared Camera Calibration in the 3D Temperature Field Reconstruction

In order to reconstruct the 3D temperature field based on the binocular vision system, we carry out a research on the calibration of the infrared camera. To start with, we make a calibration board which can be clearly identified by the infrared camera; then, with the help of OpenCV, we implement the calibration of two infrared cameras respectively and rectify the infrared images. According to the parameters obtained from the single infrared camera calibration, we accomplish the stereo calibration. The experimental results show that the average reprojecting error is below 0.14 pixels and when using the system to carry out a real measurement, the average error is 3.12%. The feasibility of the proposed calibration approach is verified, the experimental measurement results is close to the ground truth.

With the constant development of wireless communication technology and gradual maturity of sensor technology, WBAN has gradually become research focus, mainly used in such fields as medical treatment, daily life, entertainment and military. Its main units are sensor nodes, responsible for data collection, processing and transmission. Sensor nodes are usually powered by batteries, and due to limited energy, reducing energy consumption of sensor nodes and extending the life cycle of such nodes are of great importance to WBAN. In this paper, WBAN is briefly introduced first, and the research status of MAC protocols for WBAN is analyzed, with focus placed on the introduction to wakeup radio mechanism-based MAC protocols. Then priority is set for business type and sensor nodes, emergency business data flow is simplified and TDMA modulation mechanism is adopted to optimize awake up radio-based protocol. The optimized MAC protocol has realized a good result in terms of energy consumption reduction of WBAN, reduced terminal node energy consumption and extended the network lifetime.

In this publication we present Immersive Networking as a novel framework for connecting people and places and things in virtual environments with augmented reality to be used in eg. Virtual training environments. The research is mandated by technology advances in internetworking underpinned by 5G networks and Internet-of-Things. These advances present new possibilities and challenges to integrate people, places and things in virtual environments. Existing frameworks such as MPEG-V possess representational capabilities but have insufficient support for integrating entities from the real world via heterogeneous infrastructure. MPEG-V for instance makes no statements about distributed control. Seamless experiences in virtual environment require self-organization of connectivity between people, places and things via heterogeneous 5G and Internet-of-Things infrastructures. A second important aspect of the quality of our experience is the immediacy of responses. Both aspects of seamless and self-organizing connections between entities require that we push control to the end-devices co-located with the entities themselves. These end-devices may incorporate sensing gateways and interaction devices, which include both local and non-local information from the virtual environment in the interaction. Thus delegation of control to end-devices requires means for the organizing or relations and clustering by relevance. This capability is particularly important as the projected number of devices and sensors to be connected via the Internet-of-Things is projected to be in the order of 50 billion by 2020. Immersive Networking supported by MediaSense [1] constitutes a scalable self-organizing means for connecting people and places and things in virtual environments with augmented reality. MediaSense moves control to the edge enabling immediacy in experiences based on seamless self-organization through clustering of entities in relations organized by relevance. We conclude by validating our approach in several scenarios evaluating the relevance and application in human decision-making.
Study on a New Fault Diagnosis Method Based on Combining Intelligent Technologies

In allusion to more indeterminate information and higher speed request characteristic in fault diagnosis system, according to the intelligence complementary strategy, a new fault diagnosis(SWPSO-BPN) model based on combining improved particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm and Back-propagation(BP) neural network is proposed in this paper. In the SWPSO-BPN method, an improved PSO (SWPSO) algorithm is proposed to optimize the parameters of BP neural network in order to overcome the shortcomings of slow learning speed and being easy to fall into local minimum, and obtain the optimal values of parameter combination in the BP neural network(SWPSO-BPN) model. Then proposed SWPSO-BPN model is applied to diagnose the fault in order to obtain a new fault diagnosis (SWPSO-BPN-FD) method. Finally, the proposed SWPSO-BPN-FD method is used to test the data from bearing data center of CWRU. The experimental results show that the proposed SWPSO-BPN-FD method can accurately and effectively realize high precision fault diagnosis of rolling bearing. And this method takes on strong robustness and generalization ability.
The Development of Target-Oriented Real-Time Smart Tracking System to Distinguish Objects

Recently, with the development of the systems that support tracking of various objects and the component technology of Internet of Things (IoT), the use of tracking system is increasing in social infrastructures and various industrial sectors. With the application of the IT technology that can manage the movement of objects in real time in industrial sites, the sectors where the technology of tracking system can be applied are expanding. However, to satisfy the various demands of industrial sites, the existing tracking system has many technological problems. For example, due to the technological problems in solving spatial errors and errors related to time, there are limitations in introducing object-based tracking system in the medical industry or industrial sites with high risks, and these errors, when involved in service sectors, can seriously hurt customers’ reliability. Also, even in sectors where error range is not important, there are many problems such as high power consumption, high utilization of data, and the trouble of object tracking in some locations. Analyzing problems such as errors of tracking, power consumption, data use, and situations where object-tracking is not supported, this study tried to reduce error range and design and develop an intelligent smart tracking system that minimizes data use with low-power base.

Airway suffocation is a kind of unexpected emergency. The author's research group proposed a new spot-first-aid method of foreign body asphyxia in the hypopharynx, and compares it with traditional “Heimlich Maneuver” first aid method by simulation comparative study. This article mainly introduced the main contents and methods of the research, primarily on: the processing of CT Imaging data, including: Visual C++ program is used to realize the contour extraction algorithm processing based on CT images pre-processing, and restore the respiratory organs in asphyxia status in the processing of image morphology. Compare the two spot first aid methods by simulation. The Main research steps including: establishing simulated equivalent circuit simulation to compare two different spot first aid methods influence on the change of respiratory airway pressure and the animals steps of the experiments.
Automated Fabric Defect Detection Based on Multiple Gabor Filters and KPCA

A new detection approach is proposed to detect various uniform and structured fabric defects based on the multiple Gabor filters and Kernel Principal Component Analysis. First of all, images are filtered by multiple Gabor filters with six scales and four orientations to extract feature vectors. After that, the sub-blocks divided from the feature vectors have been fused and the high-dimension data can be reduced by using Kernel Principal Component Analysis. Finally, the similarity matrix is calculated by Euclidean norm and segmented with OTSU threshold method. The experiment has been done by integrating hardware and NI LabVIEW graphical programming language. Experimental results show that proposed algorithm improves feature extraction capability significantly and has high recognition rate.

Jumbagi has substantial exports as the first 3D animation from Korea and can be considered as Killer Contents which have produced a number of derivatives. In this paper, the author intends to analyze the storytelling of Jumbagi and to show that it effectively contributes to the development of OSMU. The planning points of the Jumbagi Content were analyzed and the storytelling strategy that functions among them was analyzed using narrative semiotics methodology. A new genre called 'Faction Documentary' based on the strong response of people for the story was developed. Based on this, Jumbagi has obtained a strong ripple effect by being reborn as a touching animation with a universal story structure. This paper intends to focus on the point that storytelling plays a key role while analyzing the OSMU development strategy of Jumbagi. This study suggests that the storytelling can be used as an efficient tool in the cultural content industry and in marketing. Jumbagi has high story value, and its theme is the family affection that is quite frequently and importantly utilized in Korean popular movies. Moreover, each element of the story, including the plot, characters and space, used to reveal the theme builds a dramatic unity. In other words, it can be determined that Jumbagi has achieved success to be immersed in the emotions of the public, including children, by utilizing the easy and popular storytelling methods.

Nitrogen oxide (NOx) is one of main pollution sources of air pollution, so it need to be more and more stringent emission regulations limiting pollution. Selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology is the mainstream technology to remove NOx at euro V and euro VI stage. By analyzing chemical reaction mechanism of selective catalytic reduction (Urea-SCR) of urea, research actuality of Urea-SCR from the urea storage device, urea supply system, catalystic converter and control unit separately was pointed out. At last development trend of SCR technology based on research that we have was analyzed.
Adaptive Camera Image Interpolation Method using Directional Color Plane Information

To reduce cost, current digital cameras adopt color filter array (CFA) instead of RGB camera which obtains beam splitters to capture image information. This leads effect that only one of three color channels remains and the other two color channels are missing during CFA. To compensate missing color information, color interpolation or demosaicking process is needed. There have been many methods with different degree of complexity and filter size. Normally bigger filters and higher complexity provide better performance. However, clever method may give fast and satisfactory results in terms of objective and subjective performance. This paper proposes adaptive camera image interpolation method which uses directional information. Simulation results show that the proposed method outperforms conventional benchmark method.

As embedded software is taking an important part in safety critical filed, how to ensure the safety of safety-critical software has recently become a research focus. Developing safety-critical and highly reliable systems almost always includes significant emphasis on safety analysis and risk assessment. There have been substantial improvements in automation and formalization of other aspects of critical system engineering. However, safety analysis and risk assessment are still largely manual and informal activities and tool support is limited. In this paper, we propose a qualitative safety analysis method of embedded system based on AADL (Architecture Analysis & Design Language) model. Firstly, we extend the Error Model Annex with the R-FMSE (Risk-based Failure Mode Safety Effect) property to express the failure mode formally. Then, we give a detail illustration for qualitative safety analysis based on AADL model. Thirdly, we give a algorithm to develop a R-FMSE analysis Eclipse plug-in to realize the automation of the method. On using the Isolette system (an infant incubator), a case study is demonstrated the feasibility of this method.

Recently, the internet access rates via mobile devices exceeded those via PCs, and in particular, smart-phones are most commonly utilized in this area especially for data and information searching. This study is to examine UX design patterns depending on touch gestures on smart-phones for mobile web service. This study is to examine UX design patterns depending on touch gestures on smart-phones for mobile web service. Mobile UI design patterns are divided mainly to navigation for information management and screen movement, forms for entering texts and optional functions, tables for contents display, searching, invitation for functional control and attention, and feedbacks to handle responses depending on the situations. Characteristics of mobile web service include personalization, ubiquity, differentiation, and district-based nature. Due to the small screen environment, the information structure is different from that of PC web service. In addition, the screen transition through touch gestures is directional and thus involves certain UX design patterns. As for user experiences regarding touch gestures on a smart-phone, directional motions such as horizontal or vertical movements were more frequent than zoon-in/out and rotation, and such motions were often combined for navigation and invitation functions. Dragging was directional both horizontally and vertically while scrolling was directional basically vertically. Flick and swiping are two major touch gestures directional horizontally, and they are most frequently used for page transition in contents searching.

A novel drum level and pressure simultaneously control method is developed using the dynamic surface control method in this paper which takes account of the output power of units and load change .Certain first-order low-pass filters are introduced into the designing process to avoid the occurrence of high-order derivatives of elements in the system which makes it easy to implement in practical applications. The proposed control method is effective in compensating for the disturbance of load and fuel. Simulation results show that the dynamic surface control method still ensures an accurate result, even if the loads change in a great and parameters of the controlled plant change significantly.

Radio channel characteristics of mobile nodes are quite different compared with the traditional stationary base station to mobile radio channel. Wireless link reliability estimation is necessary for self-organization of wireless mobile multihop networks. In this paper, we measure narrowband path loss measurements in a typical mobile-to-mobile radio environment. For application, we proposed a method to incorporate link reliability into path reliability evaluation and selection for multipath routing in wireless mobile networks. Simulations show that the proposed method has better performance.

Acoustic emission signal is a kind of elastic wave which is caused by the release of internal energy of materials when the structure changes. The propagation characteristics of acoustic emission is important to the testing technology of a structure by acoustic emission signal. The finite element method is introduced to analyze elastic wave propagation in plate structure in the article, which mainly contains the discretization techniques of the area and time domain. The structure plate with different materials ,style and coating metal are selected in finite element simulation, the displacement contours and wave curve resulted from simulation are used to analyze the interface reflection, refraction and diffraction process as well as the wave type conversion in different medium of the elastic wave propagation . The mechanical pencil lead fracture experiment is done to verify the transient simulation of elastic wave propagation in plate structure.

Until the recent past, cancer diagnosis was made using histopathology methods, where the pathologists study biopsy samples and make inferences. These inferences are based on cell morphology and tissue distribution which represent randomness in growth and/or in placement. These methods are highly subjective/arbitrary and can sometimes lead to incorrect diagnosis. Nowadays, computer-assisted diagnostic (CAD), based on very large database, can aid in objective judgment. This study emphasizes the contribution of a two-dimensional (2D) autoregressive (AR) model for analysis and classification of histopathological images. In AR model, the parameters consist of a feature set of histopathological images obtained from biopsy samples taken from patients. These features are further used for analysis, synthesis and classification of cancer cells. The Yule-Walker Least Square (LS) method has been used for parameter estimation. The test statistics for the choice of a model order has also been suggested in this paper. It has been inferred that for a given sample image, the neighborhood is unique and solely depends on the properties of samples under consideration. Based on the features of AR parameters, samples are classified into two – healthy tissue and malignant tissue. The feature data sets have been classified using the linear kernel Support Vector Machine (SVM) classifier. In this work, we focus on measuring the performance of cancer diagnostic tests in terms of their recall, specificity, precision and F score. We observe that the fourth-order AR model gives promising results in performance evaluation using SVM classifier.

Through the design and technical realization of a popular science long corridor based on 3D stereo technology, three hot applications of 3D technology including 3D folding technology, 3D holographic imaging technology and 3D printing technology were introduced in the paper. The three techniques as a whole in the popular science long corridor display the method to decrease the realization cost of the popular science long corridor. The interactive part of the two-dimensional animation was added into the popular science long corridor to reflect truly the effect of the computer technology integrating application.

Convergence of manufacturing industry and ICT becomes a new competence and it is also regarded as revolution of production method. At the warehouse, monitoring information of the job order and completion is needed for the judgement of the process whether it has any problems or none. For this kind of action, database system that can interrelate material information and job order information should be adapted. Thus, the author suggest the warehouse management system using IPS(Indoor Positioning System) under Bluetooth environment. This system can make material management, job control management and location management using Tag information. It can also be utilized in existing warehouse.

To further enhance optimizing effect of virtual machine resource allocation, virtual machine resource allocation algorithm of probabilistic optimization based on SME-FFD (Simulated Evolution – First Fit Decreasing ) is proposed aiming at NP hard optimization problem in the process of virtual machine resource allocation in cloud computing. First of all, an optimization evaluation scheme of virtual machine resource allocation is proposed, and strong climbing optimization ability of simulated evolutionary algorithm is adopted to carry out iterative evolution to selection, evaluation and ranking of virtual machine resource allocation ; after that, based on SME algorithm obtaining resource allocation ordering, the secondary allocation on virtual machine and physical host resources ranked is conducted using FFD to improve efficiency and effectiveness of resource allocation; in the end, experimental comparison is conducted in CloundSim grid lab in the University of Melbourne and gridbus cloud simulation platform, the results show that CPU usage rate of proposed algorithm reaches up to 47%, memory usage rate reaches up to 56%, therefore, it may effectively reduce physical machine usage quantity and realize the goal of energy consumption.

This paper had analyzed the degree of freedom robot and then simulates the robots and humans similar to the lower limbs, to establish sports model of the robot. The analysis robot has 10 degrees of freedom, in which one leg has five degrees of freedom, namely, a degree of freedom of the knee, hip ankle is assigned two degrees of freedom. Depending on the needs of the kinematic model is divided into forward motion model and lateral movement model. Link by representatives’ form various parts of the robot to simplify the model. Through the establishment of the geometry and the Cartesian coordinate system, analyze the relationship between the joint angle and joint use mathematical functions to represent the correspondence between swing foot and between each joint. By Zero Moment Point (ZMP) stability analysis, to ensure the stability of humanoid robot, obtained center of gravity and zero moment point formula, thus proving humanoid robot walking stability. The significant development of Information Technology has delivered to peoples' lives so many conveniences, benefits, and advantages. Convenience is one of the important points considered as the requirement to affect users’ behavior on the adoption of new technology. For enhancing convenience, the mobile voting system was applied as the main point to improve fairness, freedom, and democracy in the Vietnamese voting process. The aim of this study is to clarify the satisfaction, feasibility, and user behavior intention in using the Vietnam Mobile Voting service. This study investigated 3 main group factors as "Social", "Individual" and "Technics" to evaluate the Mobile voting service. The research is assessed based on the data from 228 participants using the questionnaire. The data is used to test the research model and proposed hypothesis. The results of this research can be used to increase the quality of the service and evaluate user intention and satisfaction on Mobile Voting in Vietnam.
An Improved DV-Hop Localization Algorithm Based on Hop Distance and Hops Correction

In order to solve the problem that the DV-Hop algorithm has large error in the network topology environment of random distribution of nodes, this paper proposes a WSN localization algorithm based on hop distance correction. The algorithm uses the method of multi communication radius to correct the hop number within 1 hops, which makes it more consistent with the real situation; Then, the weighted factor is obtained by error of the average distance per hop of anchor node; Finally, the total least squares method is used to calculate the coordinates of the unknown nodes to improve the positioning accuracy of DV-Hop positioning algorithm. The simulation results show that the improved algorithm has a better accuracy and stability than the original DV-Hop algorithm.

Based on the analysis of human motion with the development of computer vision technology gradually become the research focus, while intelligent monitoring and other related real needs also contributed to its rapid development, attracting more and more researchers to join them. It includes both limbs motion tracking, as well as tracking the movement of the whole body, but does not include the subtle body movement, such as facial expressions and gestures of the track. The monocular video motion tracking method in this article are used in a variety of models, including the human body geometry, said camera imaging model and motion model used. Geometric model of the human body by the appearance of the model human skeleton model and composition of each joint skeleton model the relative proportions of the length of a value obtained from anthropometric measurements, and the establishment of a local coordinate system at each joint. Camera imaging using fluoroscopy model and a mathematical model based on this request to the relative three-dimensional coordinates of each joint between the sports model based on kinematics knowledge polynomial representation.
