The purpose of this study was to identify the criteria of evaluating a price-comparison website, and to investigate the consumers' perceived importance and satisfaction of each criterion. Also, it compared both the importance and satisfaction levels based on consumers' socio-economic and Internet-usage characteristics. Data for this study came from a questionnaire completed by consumers (n=417), who had used the price-comparison website, and were analyzed through factor analysis, t-test, and ANOVA. The findings of the study were as follows: First, the evaluation criteria of the price-comparison website were categorized into five variety of information, accuracy, convenience, credibility, and the website system. Second, convenience of searching information was seen by consumers as both the most important and most satisfactory criterion. Variety of information was also considered important. For most of the evaluation criteria, the level of consumers' satisfaction was significantly lower than the level of consumers' recognized importance. Third, consumers in their 20s, students, and housewives were less likely to be satisfied by the price-comparison website overall. Older people were less likely to be satisfied with the convenience of the website, and the higher-income group was less likely to be satisfied with the variety of information on hand.

As online shopping is expanding rapidly, the damages undergone by consumers are also dramatically increasing. This research mainly focused on the damages experienced through Internet shopping. The purpose of this study was to develop a standardized scale to measure damages sustained through an Internet shopping mall. A preliminary 35-item scale was developed through a literature review, and 1,230 consumers responded to an online survey using the preliminary scale. This research was supported by the surveys conducted on consumers who had previously shopped at an Internet fashion mall. This research was conducted with the intention of not only supplying academic data on the damage sustained by consumers, but also understanding the consumers' basic behavior patterns. Then a series of tests, such as test-retest, item-to-total correlation, Cron bach's reliability coefficient and factor analysis, were conducted using the survey data and a final scale with 26-items was constructed in the end. The damage sustained in Internet shopping malls scale for consumers consisted of three factors: 1. Trouble with safety 2. Trouble with payment and delivery; and 3. Trouble with after-sales services.

The purpose of this study was to explore a self-diagnostic indicator for measuring a healthy family by adopting the theme of "happiness", which has surfaced as the most interesting in many academic fields recently. Though the basic concept of a healthy family may be shared by everyone, the criterion of happiness varies from one family to another. Therefore, it is desirable that the tool be made in such a way that every member of the family can check their health from a holistic perspective, rather than diagnosing health and happiness from the perspective of professionals. So, this study was aimed at diagnosing a family by using a tool named GAMMA model, so each family member can recognize problems and find the best options to solve it. This study. has a significant meaning in that it has tried to diagnose families by introducing the GAMMA model into domestic science for the first time.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the educational program that is offered on the information menu in the homepage (Familynet) of the Healthy Family-Support Center (HFSC) and suggest developmental directions. For this purpose, first, it deduced that the managerial principles of the education program, from related theories, are included in the family-system, family-structure, family-structure analysis, family life-cycle and ecological system theories. Second, it analyzed the educational programs of 44 local centers that are connected to the homepage (familynet.or.kr) of HFSC. Finally, it suggested developmental directions for managerial improvements of educational programs. As a result, the most popular part in the educational program was parent education, especially the visiting-father education program. The number of couple-related education programs were fewer than those for parent education, because it is difficult for couples to be present at the same time. Family and Self-Cognition programs cover insufficient contents in the parent-education program. Though total program in familylife education is quite large, the number of programs in each separate part is far too small for such a wide subject. So, each part in the program should be made more sufficient. Finally, it suggested the development of an evaluation system and a coaching process as special services for families that are in different development stages and have different family experiences, resources, needs and goals.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the complementary gender division of housework in the Yangban ruling class of the Choson period. During the Choson period, genders were distinctly divided. It was generally regarded that women had to stay indoors and take care of household matters, while men, on the other hand, did not need to be concerned with housework because of the Confucian practice of "Naeoe". But homes in traditional society were considered as being at the center of production, so the study explores if women and men complemented each other through reviewed literature. As the results indicate, women and men in the Choson period complemented each other in some housework, even in the Yangban ruling class who maintained their authority by following the Confucian practice. From the findings, it can be concluded that the complementary relations between women and men in the Choson period should be emphasized as the origin of shared housework.

These days, people have changed their attitude and understanding of the tenn leisure. Since the introduction of the five-day work week system in Korea, people's leisure activities have changed greatly. The purpose of this study was to examine how leisure activities have changed after the introduction of the five-day work week and to find out the variables which influence the way Koreans spend their leisure time. The conclusion and results of these analyses are follows: The five-day work week system increased people's leisure hours, but they were still working more than 40 hours per week and their satisfaction from leisure activities was more influenced by other variables than the enforcement of the five-day work week system. Among the variables influencing the satisfaction from leisure, only those with high income and educational backgrounds were affected by the five-day work week. To conclude, there is a necessity for direction suggestions and political support to utilize leisure time positively.

This research examined the similarities and differences between Korean and Japanese accounting management in condominiums, the basic principles of managing them and to deepen the discussion on subjects worth further consideration. This research was done by going through documents from August 2006 to October 2007 in both Korea and Japan. The research indicates many problems in accounting management. Management companies, both in Korea and Japan, used their own individual formats for managing and accounting documents. Furthermore, the problems discovered included the lack of sufficient paperwork accounting done without dividing short- and long-term expenses the preference for cash expenses that weren't approved by the Association of Apartment Owners and inefficient financial auditing. The basic principle of accounting management is to follow a budget, put down rules clearly and to conduct factual, understandable and continued accounting. Therefore, a standard for accounting management must be implemented and basic manuals for auditing and accounting must be provided along with easy-to-understand information.

The purpose of this ethnography is to describe and analyze the process of becoming a wild geese mother. Thirteen mothers from New York, California, and Texas of U.S.A. were interviewed with an unstructured questionnaire. There are several different patterns of the process; 'the short term', 're-departure after returning to Korea', 'a step to initiate their family's immigration', 'sudden and unintentional'. In the first stage of the family living rearrangement, the main issues are about the wider free world, proper time for leaving and proper period for staying, where to live and my husband's independent living. The wild geese mothers perform the concrete tasks about the everyday living for the new mother-child family in the foreign country. They report their subjective interpretation for their new life.
