This study was to define the possibilities for the community resource development. Focused on the community organization this study analized 3 cases of the community organization. Based on the theoretical concepts and the analized case studies this study concluded some scheme as follows : 1. For the effective community organization the Healthy Families Center has to give emphasis on the establishment of the concrete objects, the system of communication and decision-making. 2. The professionals of the Healthy Families Center have to possess the knowlegement of the organization management. And this point porposed the necessities for enlargement of family resource management.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the changes in contents of home management part in the home economics textbooks fur middle school from the 1st to the 7th curriculum period. The contents in the all of home economics textbooks published in every curriculum period are analyzed. The major findings of this study are as follows: 1. The part of home management is divided into seven specific areas including 'definition and process of home management', 'utilization of family resource and environment management', 'time management', 'household labor/work nanagement', 'family financial management', 'purchasing', and 'consumer protection'. 2. From the 6th curriculum period, the area of 'definition and process of home management' begun to be explained using system's approach and the area of 'household labor/work management' changed its' focus from household to self management. 3. The areas emphasized in the beginning of curriculum period were 'family financial management' and 'household labor/work management'. The 'consumer protection' ' and 'utilization of family resource and environment management' were the areas emphasized in the later curriculum period. 4. The contents of 'family financial management' area have changed very little, however, the contents of 'purchasing' area have changed a lot during the all curriculum periods. 5. The contents of illustrations, tables, pictures, and activities have changed according to changes of the contents of the textbooks.

The purpose of this study was to examine university students' consumption-orientation and attitude toward conspicuous consumption as well as to identify the factors that are most influential on consumption-orientation and conspicuous consumption behavior. The major findings of this study are summarized below. First, the average scores of consumption-orientation and conspicuous consumption were 2.71 and 3.15 respectively, on a 5 point scale. Second, the most influential factor on university students' consumption-orientation was friends' influence. Third, the most influential factor on conspicuous consumption was students' perceived social status. Fourth, conspicuous consumption tendency and consumption-orientation were significantly higher for those students with larger amount of allowances, female students, or the students who are working. Fifth, the university students' consumption-orientation and conspicuous consumption tendency were significantly higher for the students whose parents' child-rearing style is inconsistent or excessive investment. Finally, the consumption orientation has a significant positive relationship with conspicuous consumption.

This phenomenological study aims at exploring the role of family in promoting, maintaining, and developing job activities of women with acquired physical disabilities. As a result of in-depth interviews with 8 women with physical disabilities, 6 theme clusters and 14 sub-themes have appeared. Participants have vividly revealed their experiences with regard to the various support and help of their family. They were provided physical, emotional and financial supports which helped at great extent to overcome the anger and loss resulted from the acquired disabilities. Although most of the participants have experienced failure in job finding several times, they have at last succeeded in it by the consistent help of their family. In particular, the support and help given from the family were substantial and specific which promoted maintaining and developing their career. Therefore the participants could obtain more confidence in themselves and this made the participants to speak for themselves. Although the family roles for the job finding and maintaining of the participants are played in various ways which is positive, effective and specific, there remains some significant problems and limitations. Participants expressed their uncomfortableness in opening their most in-depth thinking and emotions to their family. They have also experienced a great deal of difficulties in maintaining job because of the housework load and child bearing work which is mainly regarded by the family members as the woman's(participant's)duties. In addition to this, sexual needs and sexual identity of the participants are neither recognized nor dealt with seriously in family, The participants also mentioned about the inequal relationships and their self-consciousness among family member as well as the lack of career guidance role of the family. Based on these research findings, we have made a number of suggestions to promote the positive roles and overcome the limited roles of the family.

The goal of this study is to analyze the complicated and diverse nature of the relationship between work and family life for the study paper instructors of whom are married women. The survey data for these analyses were from an in depth interview which was conducted with the 21 contingent female workers as study samples. They are the married women, who started to work or returned to work after an absence to raise a family. The results showed that in reality the contingent female worker faced worse working conditions than the full time female labour force, even if women were determined to be a study paper instructor to meet work and family demand. It was the contingent women worker with a short time work experience who were in the worst position tlo adjust their working arrangements to suit their family needs and were confronted with the greater inter-role friction as a vulnerable group. The study revealed that instrumental and emotional support of husband has a positive effect on maintaining job role and lessening role conflicts and stress of the women. The work/family relationship indicated its double side, conflict and support. The women simply could not afford to depend on the psychological support form family in the midst of the inferior employment conditions and the absence of social support. This strategy, however, was based on the family ideology and the patriarchal gender division of labor. It caused the overload, stress and poor health of women involving some risk to give up the work.

This study aims to examine the family awareness and the demand for a group-based healthy family support program for current and former residents of a residential care institution, and to provide information to be utilized in the development of a comprehensive group-based family support program. To support this study, 1:1 interviews were conducted. The interviews focused on the adolescents' perception of their own families, perception of family in general, demand for a group-based healthy family support program, etc. The results of the interviews are as follows. First, as for the perception of their own families, the 'happiest' and 'saddest' experiences they reported were related to their own families for both the current and former resident adolescents of the institution. Second, as for the perception of family in general, both groups defined a healthy family as a family with members who 'help one another in times of difficulties and live happily in harmony together'. Third, regarding the educational contents that are essential to the establishment of a healthy family, a majority of the current residents answered cooking, yet a majority of former residents mentioned more practical education-such as the role of parents, child education, asset management, human relationships, and self worth enhancement, etc.

The purpose of this study was to survey actual condition of a municipal Healthy family Support Center(HFSC) for establishing. 46 subjects were surveyed with a questionnaire about PR and facilities of Healthy Family Support Center. For this study, not only a survey was collected 46 subjects bust also a spot inspection was executed to 8 municipal Healthy Family Support Centers. This study revealed following results: first, the mass media(TV, news paper), internet home page, pamphlet are effective medium. Management of PR activities in the HFSC is consider as one of the main factor to decide development and survival in social community. Therefore HFSC should search fur various method and system of PR. Secondly, the size and facilities of HFSC should be designed according to the specific characteristics of HFSC equipped with office-room, conference room, lecture hall, general/special counseling room, group classroom. Results from this study might be contributed to operate a municipal Healthy Family Support Center in the near future.
