본 연구는 현직 초등교원을 대상으로 AI 및 디지털 역량의 현황을 조사하기 위해 AI⋅디지털 기본 역량, 전문적 참여 역량, 교육 실천 역량이라는 세 가지 세부 영역 간의 관계를 탐색하였다. 연구 결과, 교사들은 AI 및 디지털 기술의 기본 개념과 윤리적 활용에 대해 높은 수준의 인식을 보였으나, AI를 교수-학습의 파트너로 활용하거나 AI 기반 수업을 설계 및 평가하는 실천적 역량은 비교적 미흡한 것으 로 나타났다. 회귀분석 결과, AI⋅디지털 기본 역량과 전문적 참여 역량 모두 교육 실천 역량을 유의미하게 예측하는 것으로 나타났으 며, 특히 AI⋅디지털 기본 역량이 더 강력한 예측 변수로 확인되었다. 이러한 결과는 AI 기술에 대한 기초적 이해가 교사의 효과적인 AI 기반 교수 실천을 뒷받침하는 핵심 요인임을 시사한다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로, 본 연구는 교사들의 AI⋅디지털 기본 역량 강화를 위 한 체계적이고 심화된 교원 전문성 개발 프로그램을 마련할 필요가 있다고 제안한다.

The present study aims to investigate the current status of AI and digital competencies among in-service elementary school teachers. To this end, the relationships between three sub-domains of AI·digital basic competency, professional engagement competency, and educational practice competency were explored. The findings revealed that teachers demonstrated a high level of awareness regarding fundamental AI and digital technology concepts, including their ethical use. However, their practical skills, such as integrating AI as a teaching partner and designing/evaluating AI-based instruction, were comparatively less developed. Regression analysis showed that both basic AI⋅digital competency and professional engagement competency significantly predicted educational practice competency, with the former emerging as the stronger predictor. These results underscore the importance of a solid foundational understanding of AI technologies in supporting effective AI-based instructional practices. Based on these findings, the study recommends the establishment of systematic and advanced professional development programs to enhance teachers' basic AI and digital competencies.
