참부모님 성혼은 세계평화통일가정연합에서 친숙한 주제이며 핵심적 사건이다. 그런데 성혼의 중심성에 대한 일반적 인식은 그 당위성에 비해 충분히 이루어지지 않았다. 따라서 이 논문은 먼저 종교사의 맥락에서 중심성의 개념을 살펴본 후, 성혼 의 기원, 구분, 통합/확장 패턴을 통해 성혼에 대한 이해를 발전시킴으로써, 성혼의 주제와 통일사상의 관련을 시사하고자 한다. 결론에서는 성혼을 전례를 통해 기념하 는 것이 성혼의 중심성에 대한 우리의 가장 적절한 응답의 방식임을 제안한다.

True Parents’ Holy Wedding is a familiar topic for Unificationists, but its centrality has not generally been given the recognition that it deserves. Beginning from the concept of centrality in history, this paper develops an understanding of the Holy Wedding through the origin, division, union/ multiplication pattern, suggesting connections with Unification Thought. The concluding section recommends celebration as the most appropriate mode of our response.

세계평화통일가정연합의 한학자 총재는 하나님을 하늘부모님(Heavenly Parent), 즉 하늘아버지와 하늘어머니로 높이 세운다. 가정연합에서는 늘 이러한 용어들이 사용되어왔지만, 그 의미에 대한 설명은 아직 불충분하다. 이에 본 연구는 하늘부 모님에 대해 신학적으로 설명하기 위한 개념적 틀을 제시하고자 한다. 먼저 한 분 이신 하나님에 대한 인식에서 시작하여, 어떻게 이 한 분 하나님이 둘, 즉 남성(양 성)과 여성(음성)이 되었는지 설명하였다. 이어서 어떻게 이 둘이 수수적 관계를 형성하여 넷, 즉 하늘부모, 하늘아버지, 하늘어머니, 하늘자녀가 되었는지 설명하 였다. 필자는 이것이 문선명 총재가 말했었던 ‘하늘부모님의 탄생과 결혼’이었다 고 가정한다. 관계적 존재론(relational ontology)를 사용하면, 하늘부모님, 하늘아버 지, 하늘어머니는 한분 안에 세분이 계시며, 세분 안에 한분이 계시는 비시간적 하 늘부모님(Three-in-One and One-in-Three, the non-temporal Heavenly Parent)이시 다. 하늘부모님은 사위기대의 시간적 전개, 즉 창조에 참여함으로써 그 정점에서 하늘자녀를 세우신다. 이 사위기대의 완성으로 천상과 지상의 하나됨이 개시된다. 참부모님은 성혼을 통해 이 완성을 성취하였다.

Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon lifts up God who is Heavenly Parent, Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother. Unificationism has always used these terms but has never explained them. In this paper I present a conceptual framework by which to do so. I begin with God as one person, then explain how this one person became two, male and female. I explain how those two established a reciprocal relationship through feminine attraction and masculine action, and become four—Heavenly Parent, Heavenly Father, Heavenly Mother and Heavenly Child(ren). I postulate that this was Heavenly Parent’s birth and marriage, of which Dr. Sun Myung Moon spoke. I explain, utilizing relational ontology, that the Heavenly Parent, Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother are Three-in-One and One-in-Three, the non-temporal Heavenly Parent. Heavenly Parent participates in the temporal evolution of the fourth position, the creation, culminating in Heavenly Child(ren). The perfection of the fourth position initiates the oneness of heaven and earth. True Parents accomplished this perfection in their Holy Wedding.

본 논문은 통일사상의 분배 정의론 정립을 위한 시론적 연구로 존 롤즈(John Rawls) 가 제시한 공정으로서의 정의를 통일사상의 관점에서 살펴보는데 초점을 두었다. 롤 즈는 천부적 능력과 사회적 지위와 같은 우연적 요소에 근거한 분배를 정의의 관점 에서 ‘불공정’으로 규정하고, 이를 시정하기 위한 두 가지 정의의 원칙을 제시하였 다. 이를 통해 개인의 노력이나 공적의 차이를 무시하지 않으면서도 최소 수혜자를 배려하고, 모든 구성원들의 실질적인 기회 균등을 보장할 수 있도록 사회의 기본구 조를 편성하고자 하였다. 이같은 롤즈의 정의론은 통일사상의 분배 정의론을 정립해 나가는데 있어서 매우 유용한 시각을 제공한다. 첫 번째로 롤즈의 통찰은 통일사상 이 분배의 기준으로 제시하는 창조력의 발휘에 영향을 미치는 상이한 배경적 조건 들을 도덕적으로 어떻게 이해할 것인지를 숙고하게 한다. 두 번째로 롤즈의 사상은 통일사상이 자연적, 사회적 여건의 차이에서 비롯된 불평등을 사회 윤리적 차원에서 어떻게 개선해 나가야 할지에 대한 응답을 요청한다.

As a preliminary study to define the theory of distributive justice within Unification Thought, this paper focuses on John Rawls’ definition of justice as fairness from the perspective of Unification Thought. Rawls sees distribution based on coincidental factors such as innate ability and social position as unfair from the perspective of justice. To rectify it, he proposes two principles of justice. Through these principles, Rawls sought to form a social basic structure that does not exclude individual efforts and desert differences, while at the same time takes into consideration the least advantaged members of society, and guarantees equal substantial opportunities for all members of that society. This theory of justice by Rawls provides very useful point of views in defining the theory of distributive justice within Unification Thought. Firstly, Rawls’ insight helps us contemplate on how to morally understand the different background conditions that influence the use of creativity which is the standard of distribution proposed in Unification Thought. Secondly, Rawls’ thought requests answers in regards to how Unification Thought envisions to systematically rectify and improve inequality coming from natural, social conditions, from a social ethics perspective.

본 연구는 공영주의가 이상하는 형제주의 정치를 현실 속에서 실현하기 위해 시 민적 덕성과 정치적 역량을 가진 정치인을 어떻게 양성하고 새롭게 충원할 것인가 에 대해 탐구해보고자 하였다. 정치인 충원과 관련해서, 전통적으로 고전적 엘리트 론과 권력 엘리트론의 입장에서는 기존의 정치구조가 변화될 수 없다는 견해를 가 지고 있으나 다원주의 엘리트론은 이러한 구조가 민주주의의 근본적인 한계임을 지 적하면서 다양한 배경을 가진 국민의 대표가 정치적 엘리트로 충원될 수 있어야 대 의제 민주주의가 실현될 수 있다고 주장한다. 공영주의의 정치적 이상을 현실화하기 위해서도 공영정치의 비전을 가진 새로운 인물들이 정치인으로 충원되어야 하기에 이러한 정치인양성기관에 대한 연구가 요청된다. 이에 본 연구는 정치인 충원의 구 조를 다양화한 정치인양성기관으로 일본의 마쓰시타 정경숙의 설립배경과 교육시스 템, 교육과정 등을 살펴보았다. 이를 통해 공영주의 실현을 위한 정치인 양성기관을 설립하기 위해서는 장기적인 연구와 실천적 노력, 안정적인 기금 마련, 현장중심적 연수방법 등이 갖추어져야 한다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

This paper studies how to raise and newly recruit competent politicians with civic virtues, who advocate the formation of a political system that is based on the principle that all people are brothers and sisters, the ideal political system proposed in the principle of mutual prosperity. First, the paper addresses political recruitment, explaining how the classic elite theory and the power elite theory have traditionally argued that the existing political structure cannot be changed while the pluralist elite theory points out that such political structure is the fundamental limit of democracy, and that a democratic representative system can only be achieved when representatives from all diversities amongst the people are recruited as the political elites. Second, the paper studies the founding background and educational system of the Matsushita Institute of Government and Management model, an organization dedicated to the training of politicians with the capacity to change the recruitment system of politicians, as a means to realize the political ideal of the principle of mutual prosperity. The paper comes to the conclusion that long-term research, substantial efforts, securing safe funds, field-centered studies, etc. are key components in establishing an organization training politicians for the realization of mutual prosperity.

본래 신(神)이 창조한 인간의 두 성(性)은 서로 어떤 관계를 이루는 것이 창조주 로서의 신의 뜻인가? 그 물음에 대한 통일신학적 해답은 분명하다. 통일신학의 ‘창 조’와 ‘복귀’ 영역에서는 남녀평등적 바탕이 있지만 유일하게 ‘타락’ 영역에서는 남 녀불평등적 요인이 존재한다. 타락에 관한 세 가지 이유로 남성보다 여성에게 더 큰 과오가 있으며, 이로 인한 탕감으로 인류역사 및 인간사회 가운데서 직면하는 남녀 불평등현상이 초래되었다. 하지만 그와 같은 현상은 ‘한 해와의 완전존재’의 출현이 전환점 되어 점차적으로 해결되고 극복되어갈 가능성이 발견된다. 세계평화통일가정연합의 신학인 ‘통일신학’은 기본적으로 남녀평등을 주창한다. 최근의 한학자 총재 말씀에 입각하여 통일신학을 재조명해보면, ‘하늘부모’로 표현 되는 ‘남녀평등적 신관(神觀)’과, 독생자와 독생녀를 모두 인정함으로 보다 명료해 진 ‘참부모관’으로서의 ‘남녀평등적 메시아관’의 이론적 토대 위에, 인간의 남녀평등 론은 더욱 확고한 것이 된다. As the Creator, what relationship did God originally want the two sexes of human kind to have between them? The answer based on Unification Theology is very clear. Among the three parts of Unification Theology, ‘Creation’ and ‘Restoration’ show foundation of the equality of men and women and elements of inequality are present only in the ‘Fall.’ It can be viewed that woman played a bigger role than man in the Fall, therefore resulting in the inequality of men and women throughout the history of mankind and in current society, in order to pay indemnity. Advent of ‘perfected Eve’ will serve as a turning point to solve and overcome this inequality progressively over time. ‘Unification Theology,’ the theological background of FFWPU, advocates the equality of men and women. When we re-examine Unification Theology according to the recent words of Dr. Hak Ja Han, the theory of sex equality of mankind holds a firmer ground based on the sex equality perspective on God expressed through the term ‘Heavenly Parent’ and the more clearly revealed perspective on Messiah as True Parents that shows sex equality through including both the only begotten son and the only begotten daughter.
