- True Parents’ Holy Wedding is a familiar topic for Unificationists, but its centrality has not generally been given the recognition that it deserves. Beginning from the concept of centrality in history, this paper develops an understanding of the Holy Wedding through the origin, division, union/ multiplication pattern, suggesting connections with Unification Thought. The concluding section recommends celebration as the most appropriate mode of our response.

- 참부모님 성혼은 세계평화통일가정연합에서 친숙한 주제이며 핵심적 사건이다. 그런데 성혼의 중심성에 대한 일반적 인식은 그 당위성에 비해 충분히 이루어지지 않았다. 따라서 이 논문은 먼저 종교사의 맥락에서 중심성의 개념을 살펴본 후, 성혼 의 기원, 구분, 통합/확장 패턴을 통해 성혼에 대한 이해를 발전시킴으로써, 성혼의 주제와 통일사상의 관련을 시사하고자 한다. 결론에서는 성혼을 전례를 통해 기념하 는 것이 성혼의 중심성에 대한 우리의 가장 적절한 응답의 방식임을 제안한다.
