Republic of Korea is facing The Fourth Industrial Revolution that is central facts accelerated Robot-Artificial intelligence. In this situation, the most important source of strengthy is electric energy until now. The fire explosion has occurred frequently, because a transformer, one of key components which supplies electric energy, are aging. it is a big social issue that threaten public safety. This paper considers electrical fire theories based on case-studies of fire events related transformer and fire explosion mechanism. Also, this paper establish fire safety measures reinforcing scientific fire investigation.

In this study, we have examined the possibility of fire spread by the extruded polystyrene on the external wall of construction site. Through burn pattern tests, it was confirmed that the polystyrene could be difficult to burn continuously without the adhesives and that the mechanisms of combustion reactions how the adhesives were applied. In Limited Oxygen Index test, the oxygen index of organic adhesive appeared at 19%, and total amount of heat release of the organic adhesive was appeared as 75.29MJ/㎡, which was 16.68MJ/㎡ more than that of the inorganic adhesive, and the persistence of heat release rate of organic adhesive was 162s longer than that of the inorganic adhesive in cone-calorimeter test. As the results of these tests, the potential of fire spread by extruded polystyrene alone or with inorganic adhesive were lower than it with organic adhesive. In addition, there would be high risk of fire spread depending on the method of application of organic adhesive for the extrude polystyrene.

Polyethylene(PE) has not only a common characteristic of plastics but also various characteristics such as chemical stability, water-proofing and foamability. But It is easy to be ignited and quickly spread in fire. Nevertheless, Because of its convenience in use and economical efficiency, It is widely used for various product in whole industry. In this study, we have conducted experiments that analyze fire risks in PE manufacturer where use LPG(Liquefied Petroleum Gas) as foaming material. According to the experiment results, Ignitable gas is emitted from PE foams at early stage of production. We verified the range of flammability which could be occurred with LPG in restricted area. Under the range of flammability, fire accident can be easily occurred with light source of ignition such as electrostatic. In conclusion, we propose the precautions for preventing fire accident and the methods for fire scene investigation.

Among the recent fire cases, fires where the combustion point and the ignition point were different occurred. Generally, fire spots are considered as sources of ignition. However, this kind of fire started to ignite in the lower part, but it left little traces and moved to the upper part, causing a large fire damage. The fire inspector must escape stereotypes. This study is based on the assumption that even if there is no trace of carbonization, it can be a point of ignition. Also, a warehouse with a high gap between the upper and lower layers was made into a rehearsal experiment field. In this study, the fake pattern is established as follows. The fire point is different from the combustion point, leaving no carbonized traces. In addition, we study the technique for accurate fire investigation of these fire patterns

Analysis on the component of waterproofing paint showed that epoxy primer is the most prone to ignite once blended with hardener, epoxy primer develops the most volatile elements and the lowest flashing point. Most of the paint material tends to have lower flashing point once blended with hardener. Experiments prove that welding sparks can lead to ignition easily and especially so with epoxy primer and epoxy top coat, and urethane primer. Fire transmission speed of these waterproofing materials is much higher than general combustibles. Highest risk of catching fire is right after painting, and as time passes, the flammability decreases. Therefore, there remains flammability even after the painting, thus there should be close monitoring of the site so that there is not welding sparks nearby shortly after painting. Emergency firefighting system should be mandatorily equipped in the site as well. Lastly, protection measures should be implemented publicly. Warning of low flashing points or describing the fire risk with welding sparks on the box of waterproofing material could be one small example.

This paper performed a study on the analysis of the flooring material carbonization pattern by flame liquid and general combustibles. The result of a carbonization pattern analyse through a microscope. It shows that a black glossy reticular structure marked on the carbonized surface when the 50 [ml] of gasoline and thinner sprayed and ignited a surface in the vinyl floor covering and the carpet. A boundary surface identified in the carbonized in the vinyl floor covering and the carpet. Also, an intermediate point exist between the boundary surface and the non-melted area in carpet surface. In the case of the cross-section of the carbonized carpet, the thin vinyl wires and bonding layer are burned by fire heat. In addition, the case-hardening layer is severely carbonized, and the buffer layer and underlying layer are also partially carbonized and discolored. When burning the vinyl floor covering, laminate floor and carpet after placing and igniting the piece of cotton and timber on them with 50 [ml] of gasoline being sprayed on it, it was seen a clear distinction made on the boundary surface. The carbonized area has black color with a matte or polish parts. The boundary of the carpet has been marked with a narrow line. A little intermediate point exist between the boundary surface and the non-melted area. As can be seen from the above results, it proves that there are differences between flammable liquids and general flammable materials in a surface and cross-section of carbonized pattern even though same the flooring material is used. Therefore, it is thought that these results can be utilized to investigate patterns of arson and accidental fire by flammable liquid. Furthermore, it can be proposed a new technique for the carbonization pattern of a flammable liquid and general combustibles.

The number of severely disabled people using electric wheelchair is increasing because of governmental support since 2005 and fire riskiness of electric wheelchair is also growing rapidly. In this study, we analyzed electric wheelchair's operating principles and conducted diverse experiments to suppose outbreak of fire. Especially, according to this experiments we confirmed a possibility of fire can be caused by electric wheelchair's deep-cycle battery, charger, safety device, motor, electric code.
