Copper clad aluminum (CCA) wire is one of the promising candidate for replacing copper wire with advantages of light weight, good conductivity, and low price. In this study, the characteristics of melting in CCA wire are investigated in order to identify the difference of CCA wire which causes fire. From the experiments on 0.75sq stranded CCA wire, it is revealed that CCA wire has inferior tensile strength and high temperature during electrical flow compared to the pure copper wire. Melted CCA samples fabricated under different conditions such as overcurrent, overcurrent with external heat, and external heat without electrical current show insignificant difference in the shape and weakness of hardness at the melting region. Because the cooling time affects to the formation of nucleation, Al-Cu alloy of the CCA, which have faster cooling time than pure metal, contains dendrite structure under overcurrent condition while the void is observed only in the sample of external heat without current. Therefore, we conclude that the cause of fire due to CCA-wire is identified by the observation of dendrite structure at the melting beads.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the heat generation characteristics and fire hazard of the hot air drying method of the drum washing machine and to investigate the possibility of ignition when the aroma oil vapor and the laundry lint are accumulated around the heater, And to contribute to the enhancement of fire detection and emotional techniques. In addition, we would like to ask the manufacturer to warn the user that the vapors of aroma oil solidified in the drying duct may lead to fire, to prevent fire, and to make fire warning or notation larger.

This article is a study to identify the various causes of electric fire that could occur at the terminal stage, such as poor contact and the risk of fire due to over-current. First, the fire hazard was tested for poor contact, over-current, or single cause, and then the thermal characteristics of the tightening torque changes were tested, assuming that the two causes occurred simultaneously. The experiment showed that the thermal characteristics of the terminals were significantly more apparent when the two causes worked in combination, and that the risk was higher.

Dust, charcoal and oil sludge are supposed to investigate connection of fire risk in restaurant’s duct system. Duct system is used for inhalation of oil and charcoal sludge vapor and dust during cooking and to release them out of the restaurant by exhaust fan. However, if duct system is not cleaned regularly, the sludge and dust can be generated and stacked continuously in them and make more possibility of fire. Once the fire spark reaches the flammable dust, oil and charcoal sludge, the fire is occurred and spread out from duct system. Various fire prevention measures are to be proposed in this experiment article by identifying and analyzing the process of fire occurrence in duct system due to the sludge.

In this paper, a number of experiments have been conducted on heating cables, the most effective way to save on greenhouse heating cost, to analyze the risk of fire, and to propose fire prevention measures. A field survey of heating cable manufacturing companies was conducted to understand the production process and the heating mechanism. it has studied the fire vulnerability through structural analysis using stereomicroscope and x-ray machine, and through experiments in various environmental conditions. It observed the possibility of overheating due to some product defects, and the possibility of fire caused by deterioration through experiments with extreme environmental conditions, such as using excessive heat shields. In addition, it concluded that the possibility of inadvertent ignition by the contractor and the users was sufficiently high due to the fire experiments that reproduced unstable elements detected at the fire scene, such as cutting, twisting, pressing, over-winding the heating cables.
