히팅케이블의 화재예방 대책 연구

The prevention measures on fires caused by heating cables which are widely used in factories are studied. The insulation degradation leads to arc discharges, which can cause electrical fires. It is possible to prevent fires by the early detection of arc signal, since the arc discharges progress very slowly for a long time. By considering the characteristics of arc discharges, fire alarm system is designed and fabricated, which is composed of a circuit breaker, an AFCI, an arc module and an automatic fire alarm-report module. The arc module can identify an arc pulse and a noise through a high-pass filter with the low cut-off frequency of 16 kHz, a waveform shaping circuit and a microprocessor. Also, an algorithm was designed to discriminate the arc signal only in the presence of noise, comparing with the number of pulse counts per 100 ms. Field experiments were carried out in a 80 meters-long heating cable using an arc generator specified in UL1699. The results showed that the fire alarm system could detect the arc signal over 99 % and trip the circuit breaker in a few seconds.

Because Li-ion battery and Li-Polymer battery have high-energy storage density, they are used for various electronic devices such as electronic cigarette, electronic bicycle, drone, second battery, even golf cart and electronic car. Recently, however, battery explosion is sometimes occurring on electronic devices using Li-ion battery and is becoming serious as bodily harm is breaking out due to explosion. For this, this paper described the Li-ion Battery’s operating principles and Fire was caused through previous research and re-testing based on exposure to foreign substances such as water from the battery in contrast. According to the these experiments, we conducted a study to develope scanning techniques of fire and safety measures. (Most previous studies have been about the risk of fire in the battery due to physical shock, overcharging, and high temperature exposure.)

Determination of the correct point of ignition is important in the investigation. It depends on the interpretation of the situation and the fire pattern, and it is similar to the flow pattern in the flooring due to the radiation of the high temperature after the flashover. There are many difficulties in determining the ignition of the pattern, and the confusion are increased. There are bottom after Flashover, even on NFPA921 like the pour pattern of the method. It is said that the splatter of the oil pattern should not be confused with the use of actual cotton swab. Previous works on the bottom combustion pattern and the oil fire pattern after Flashover are analysed, and floating combustion pattern and the oil fire pattern are suggested.

Dehumidifiers are widely used and related fires are increased. But enough researches are not accomplished due to the lack of education on dehumidifier investigation. Fire investigators have difficulty in identifying the exact cause of fire. The risks for the household dehumidifiers that use the largest amount of electricity are analysed by the actual reproduction experiments. In addition to confirming the dangers based on the experimental results, the improvement to prevent the fire accident are suggested. By comparing and analyzing the internal combustion residue of the fire dehumidifier with that of the external ignition, we try to prepare the basis for fire investigation technique.

We analyzed the thermal damage temperature of each component of the HDD, an important component of the CCTV recorder found at the scene of the fire, and proposed a restoration method according to the extent of the damage. This study identified a method of inferring the recoverability of a thermally damaged CCTV recorder that can be analyzed through external observation and decomposition.

Due to the recent increase in the supply of rural houses and pensions, various kinds of wood have been used for exterior of buildings, interior of buildings and furniture, which results in occasional fires in woodworks and workshops where woodworking paint is mainly used. Properties of general paint and Informations on the risk of fire are required to prevent unexpected fire. In particular, the company intends to conduct thermal characteristics, ignition risk tests, reenactments, etc. on drying oil-based paint(oil stain), through combustion shapes observed in the process of wiping residues after applying wood. and we want to come up with fire prevention measures so that the handler can accurately recognize the fire risk of meteor paint.

Determining the short circuit of molten rock found at the site when determining the cause of the fire is a very important clue to estimate an electrical fire or ignition point. Characteristics such as pores, metal structures, and boundary surfaces, which are the determining factors of short circuit wounds, are quantified with objective numerical data. As a result, the difference by the thickness of the boundary surface is analyzed as the most suitable criterion for determining whether the melt is shorted or not, and the cause of the difference is due to the difference in the occurrence time of the shorting wound due to the coating melt.
