Development of Temperature-based Weather Forecasting Models Using Neural Networks and Fuzzy Logic

In critical fields such as flight, agriculture, tourism, etc, forecasting is an important issue due to its effectiveness in human life to know what will happen for unpredictable situations and events. Weather forecasts provide critical information about future weather conditions. Actually, weather forecasting plays an important role in our daily life by predicting what the weather will be tomorrow and it is reflected in a wide area of applications in our life so, we can prevent huge damages by forecasting the coming of storms or typhoons or get benefits from the forecasting activities. The temperature warnings are important forecasts because they are used to protect life and property and to improve the efficiency of operations. We propose computer-based models for weather forecasting based on temperature to predict the daily temperature using two techniques, artificial neural networks and fuzzy logic. The main purpose from this study is to develop different weather forecasting models based on the two techniques over different regions. The developed models show that the objectives of the study were achieved successfully. Finally, the models have been tested and the results confirm that the proposed models are capable to forecast the daily temperatures.

The ocean currents speeds in the harbor waterway are directly related to the ability of the ship to in or out the harbor. Accurately predict the speeds can assist the ship to choose the right time for sailing. To solve this problem, we chose two models of linear and non-linear prediction. We had set sensors in Qinhuangdao for a long time, then using the collected data for training. Our test is using a lot of random data to train and predict with different steps and orders. The results show that both methods can use less original data to train the model, and finally achieve preferably prediction. According to the characteristics of Qinhuangdao harbor, Auto-Regressive (AR) model is more appropriate than Support Vector Regression (SVR) model.

A new algorithm combined Eagle Strategy with PSO is proposed. The new algorithm performs by two phases: First Eagle Strategy is used to do global search; Second PSO algorithm is used to do fast local search around a promising solution. The balance of global search and local search is considered simultaneously. It is not only help to jump out of local optimum but also accelerate local convergence. Experimental results on three benchmark problems illustrate that the presented approach is effective, efficient and accurate for solving reliability redundancy optimization problems.

Message Propagation based on Three Types of Density Classification for Smooth and Secure Vehicular Traffic Flow

This paper proposes Message Propagation based on Three types of Density Classification for Smooth and Secure Vehicular Traffic Flow. The Message Propagation based on Three types of Density Classification (MPTDC) measures the density on three types of roads, namely a secluded rural road (0), a highway (1), and a urban intersection (2) and propagates messages to each classified one. When the type of message propagation is 1 and 2, the MPTDC generates a Cluster key by using MAC after grouping vehicles into a Cluster. The Cluster Header aggregates traffic information, and transfers it to a destination after filtering redundant or tampered traffic information. When the type of message propagation is 0, the MPTDC transfers traffic information by using RSU without generating a Cluster. In particular, when the type of message propagation is 2, the MPTDC selects a transmission path according to the density. Hence, this paper not only provides efficient communication but also improves the reliability of messages because it aggregates frequently encountered redundant messages.

Web page filtering technology intends to filter out the large number of the repeated and theme-unrelated noise information and obtain useful information. Some web filtering methods cannot make full use of the layout and visual features. In view of the new mainstream “DIV+CSS” designing style of modern commercial web sites, this paper summarizes that elements laying in the same div blocks have common semantic features and proposed a DIV_FOREST model to represent the web pages. And in combination with the Vision-based Page Segmentation Algorithm, a DVPS Algorithm which considers both layout features and visual features was proposed to improve web page filtering efficiency.

The advent of the smart phone enjoying the web with a mobile phone and App store that is a mobile contents open market beyond the closed environment of the existing mobile carrier give many mobile game developers opportunities and crisis at the same time. In a situation undergoing a lot of changes in this mobile environment, measures investigated through stakeholder interviews about mobile game industry's development plans are as follows: First, national policy support is required. Second, developer's recognition on changes in the market is required. Third, the development of new business models such as partial charging, etc is required.

In order to preserve important data including a company’s intellectual properties which require security or deserve to be archives, we generally do it electronically in disk mirroring, also known as RAID, or external storage devices. Digitized data can be corrupted if the storage devices deteriorate or by external access, and such compromised data undermine their authenticity and usability. This thesis presents a new method to recover damaged electronic data to restore their authenticity and usability.
