This study examined the relationship between depression, anxiety, stress, and adaptation to college life of international students living in South Korea during the COVID-19 pandemic and the factors affecting the adaptation to college life. This study was carried out between December 3, 2021, to January 25, 2022, on international students living in South Korea. The questionnaires were composed of self-reported questionnaires, and the survey URL was sent as text messages to international students who understood the purpose and rationale of this study and consented to participate in the survey. The data were analyzed using SPSS WIN 22.0, and t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient, and hierarchical regression were performed. As a result of the study, the average score of the study subjects was 8.44 points for depression, 8.28 points for anxiety, and 9. 28 points for stress. factors with significant differences in adaptation to college life according to general characteristics were living means and smoking. The relationship between the main variables, it was significant with depression (r=-.785, p<.001), anxiety (r=-.593, p<.001), and stress (r=-.726, p<.001). There was one negative correlation. It was found that the higher the depression, anxiety, and stress, the lower the college life adaptation. Lastly, depression (β=-.666, p<.001) was the factor affecting foreign students' adaptation to college life, and the explanatory power was 62%. Therefore, for international students to adapt to college life, it is necessary to establish an institutional strategy to detect depression, a negative psychological emotion, at an early stage and to systematically manage it. Also, it is necessary to find an intervention plan to relieve depression that can be applied in social isolation situations due to the spread of infectious diseases. Research confirming the intervention effect should be upgraded.

This study analyzes the impact of occupational accidents on economic growth and labor productivty losses in Korea between January 2008 and July 2018, using the Vector Error-Correction Model (VECM). According to the analysis, the occurrence of occupational accidents was revealed to reduce the number of employed workers and also hinder economic growth. This can be reinterpreted as the reduction of occupational accidents does not cause labor losses in the industry, rather may induce economic growth. Also, the findings discovered that an increase in the number of workers may lead to increase in the probability of occupational accidents in the short term. This suggests that greater number of work-related accidents may occur during the early stages- due to new employees’ lack of knowledge related to safety at workplace.

This paper aims to analyze discourse metaphors by paying attention to Seoul mayoral by-election, mainly focusing on election campaign and its related news articles. The 2021 Seoul mayoral by-election was held because the former mayor died in an apparent suicide after he was accused of years of sexual harassment to a former secretary. But in the run-up to the by-election, the newly coined word ‘alleged victim’ from the ruling party caused a big controversy because the party attempted to deny the authenticity of the secretary’s claim by calling her “an alleged victim,” instead of “a victim” to defend the former mayor who is a member of the ruling party, implying that the woman’s claim is just an allegation with no proof. Thus, this paper has analyzed how news stories were reported with regard to the word ‘alleged victim’ poser on news stories in two Korean quality newspapers, a conservative newspaper (Chosun Ilbo) and a liberal newspaper (Hankyoreh) from March 1 to April 1, 2021 and analyzed them with the framework of Lakoff and Johnson’s Conceptual Metaphor Theory(1980). The findings are as follows: (i) the conservative newspaper reports this issue much more than the liberal newspaper; (ii) both quality newspapers follow the metaphor principles by Conceptual Metaphor Theory; (iii) the conservative newspaper is more likely to follow the Strick Father model (a conservative model) while the liberal newspaper is to follow the Nurturant Parent model (a liberal model), thus indicating that each newspaper’s ideology is well represented by the models of Conceptual Metaphor Theory.

Boredom is considered anxiety and is an experience accompanied by a lack of meaning because the need for meaning is not met. It is the pain that people feel without using their mind, and the suffering that people fall into the absence of desire. On the other hand, religious activities give people meaning in life, which reduces the tendency to feel bored. This study investigates whether there is a difference in boredom depending on whether individuals participate in religious activities, and to verify whether the meaning in life mediates the relationships between religious activities and boredom. We predicted that if individuals engaged in religious activities, the meaning in life would increase, and they would be less bored than those who did not. A total of 82 college students participated in this study. Results showed that there were significant differences in the meaning in life and boredom between the two groups according to whether they participated in religious activities or not. The group actively participating in religious activities had significantly higher meaning in life and lower boredom than the non-religious group. Second, the meaning in life significantly mediated the relationship between religious activities and boredom. We conclude that active participation in religious activities can increase the meaning in life and ultimately reduce boredom. Based on the results of this study, the implications and suggestions for follow-up studies are discussed.

As part of the police reform, the current government is trying to establish a police bureau under the Ministry of Public Administration and Security and improve the personnel management of the police. Like the prosecution bureau under the Ministry of Justice, the main goal of the police is to establish a police support bureau in the Ministry of Public Administration and Security to have personnel, budget, disciplinary action, and inspection. However, the government's control of police rights was opposed mainly by the "Police Workplace Council," which is like a police union, and even police officials agreed with it, and the opposition was severe. It is becoming a form of struggle between the government and police organizations. As a police major, I don't want to side with anyone and support the police. However, I thought about what democratic control of the police should be with, considered what the police reform plan is, and analyzed the legal and institutional aspects of the current police, and expressed the following issues. First, this paper is as follows: First, we considered what the democratic control of the police was. Second, We focused on reform measures such as the personnel system and institutional approach. Third, I presented my argument on what the police reform plan is.

Vaccine diplomacy is a manifestation of competition for political influence among great powers amidst the Covid-19 pandemic’s blatant illustration of ineluctable interdependency across the global community. The reinforcement of trends bolstering global polity construction intensify concomitantly with nationalist populist value and attitude expressions increasing political polarization. The interdependency graphically illustrated in the Cold War-era’s mutual assured destruction incentivized competition into indirect competitive intervention in the internal politics of third actors. Indirect international influence contestations included extended, de facto challenge competitions to generate soft power on behalf of the victor, e.g., the space race. The Covid-19 pandemic has intensified this competition to offer alternative development models while intense domestic political polarization undermines the mobilizational capacities for achieving sustainable development. In contrast to multinational and multiethnic states, nation states have an inherent mobilizational advantage because of the enhanced control capabilities available to the authorities without emphasizing coercion. Control through Gramscian hegemonic mechanisms is more readily feasible in nation states through the greater feasibility of commodification of social relations by states authorities regulating and channeling social competition to encourage social mobility and creativity. The regulation of the so-called private sector serves to manage and contain social competition while channeling it to develop the institutional capacities for control and allocation of developing societal human resources. It enhances developed state control mechanisms and international influence capacities. The appeal of offers of aid and assistance to the so-called developing world becomes ever more urgent amidst Anthropocene crises including its most recent, current Covid-19 pandemic disaster.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the recyclability of Shenlong in China using SWOT. The main analysis results are as follows. First, provided that the company's current capacity utilization rate is seriously insufficient, reducing staff is one among the effective ways. Second, Shenlong should open a web store to cater to young people's online shopping behavior, and further expand the brand visibility using national mainstream media and online shopping platforms like Taobao and JingDong to market Dongfeng Peugeot and Dongfeng Citroen on the whole network. Third, under the premise of maintaining the present best-selling models, Shenlong should appropriately reduce the amount of models, adjust the assembly capacity ratio of every model and every displacement in real time per the newest market trends, increase the agility of auto companies' production, and timely meet the wants of domestic consumers. Fourth, dual-brand coordination and channel integration are very necessary, and also the profitability and profitability of dealers are going to be further improved, thereby increasing sales. Fifth, target building new energy leading products of Shenlong, strive to attain the forefront of the industry within the sales of recent energy vehicles within 5 years, and gradually expand new energy vehicle products from passenger vehicles to passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles. Finally, the marketing field of Shenlong Automobile should achieve "three major changes", that is, change from a goal-driven type to a demand-driven type, cancel the bundling of outlet invoicing goals and delivery incentive tiers; start from basic capabilities, and set pragmatic and challenging goals; focus Channels, to realize following the activation of outlets, and single store sales increase.

Social services are divided into care services and other support services for the elderly, children and the disabled. These social services are the subject of great policy interest in that they can create two effects at the same time: increase in labor demand for service providers and increase the possibility of long-term accumulation of human capital for service recipients. Therefore, this study aims to confirm the hypothesis according to whether the use of social services affects family relationships and the effects of social service users' psychological adaptation on marital and parent-child relationships even when other related variables are controlled. The final result of this thesis is a regression analysis to find out the effect of psychological adaptation on the family relationship, spouse relationship, and relationship with children of subjects who have experience using social services. -.661, p=0.001), the higher the psychological adaptation, the higher the spouse satisfaction (β=.465, p=0.001) and relationship satisfaction with children (β=.360, p=0.001). In other words, it was found that the more depressed the psychologically, the more negative the relationship with spouse and children.

This study aimed to explore the themes and parameters of environmental health behaviors based on Rogers’ protection motivation theory through a systematic mapping review. Using a systematic approach, a literature review was conducted of articles that adopted Rogers’ protection motivation theory. A total of 11 articles on protection motivation theory using participants and environmental health as outcomes were identified in a search of CINAHL, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, Eric, PsycARTICLES, PubMed, and RISS between September 1 and September 8, 2021. Themes related to the environment and personal behaviors between 2002 and 2021 were extracted. The parameters based on protection motivation theory were identified through systematic mapping as fear appraisal, rewards of maladaptive response, severity, vulnerability, costs of adaptive response, response efficacy, self-efficacy, and intention. Self-efficacy and response efficacy considerably affected environmental health behaviors. Emotional fear appeal related to environmental hazards motivates an internal process that alters the threat appraisal and their coping appraisal. Environmental behavior perception and intention influenced on environmental health behaviors with small effect sizes. Therefore, a deeper understanding of the severity of environmental health issues could lead to the development of helpful, effective, and intensive interventions to promote healthcare among the vulnerable population.

The abstract should summarize the contents of the paper and written below the author information. Use the word “Abstract” as the title, in 12-point Times New Roman, boldface type, italicized, centered relative to the column, initially capitalized, fixed-spacing at 13 pt., 12 pt. spacing before the text and 6 pt. after. The abstract content is to be in 11-point, italicized, single spaced type. Leave one blank line after the abstract, and then begin the keywords. All manuscripts must be in English. When it comes to the issue of “virtual and real” in traditional Chinese painting, the first impression is to describe the problems of painting strokes and ink, layout of pictures, etc., but it runs through the initial conception of the work, creation in the middle and aesthetic appreciation of the work. It exists in the whole process of artistic creation and appreciation. In essence, it is a problem of aesthetic thinking and philosophical thinking. Because the traditional Chinese painting theory is influenced by Taoism, when the concept of “virtual and real” is implemented in the specific picture of Chinese painting, it is contained in the specific shape of “physics”, that is, the painting theory research of “blank space” in the picture. Based on the traditional Taoist philosophy of China, this paper takes the “virtual and real” view in Lao Zhuang’s thought as the research object, deeply analyzes and compares its relationship with the “virtual and real” in Chinese landscape painting, and finds out their artistic spirit, essential characteristics and how to present them. This paper mainly discusses the internal relationship between Taoist philosophy and “virtual and real” in Chinese landscape painting from the following aspects. The introduction expounds the origin, purpose, significance, innovation and research methods of the topic. This paper analyzes the philosophical thoughts about landscape in the philosophical thoughts represented by Lao Tzu and Zhuangzi. The development of Chinese traditional aesthetics theory is closely related to Taoist philosophy, which has laid the foundation and pointed out the direction for the development of Chinese painting theory since ancient times. It also discusses the influence of the Taoist philosophy of “the combination of the virtual and real” on the emergence and development of the artistic conception of landscape painting. Firstly, through the analysis of the artistic conception of landscape painting and its constituent factors, it is pointed out that the artistic conception is affected by the personality and the painting artistic conception. Secondly, through the Taoist thought of “the combination of the virtual and real” in landscape painting, so as to reflect that it is the source of the artistic conception of Chinese landscape painting. It is the unique spiritual concept of “Yin and Yang” and “virtual and real” that creates the unique “blank space” aesthetic realm of Chinese painting in the composition of the picture. Finally, it focuses on the “nothingness” in Taoist philosophy and the “blank space” in Chinese landscape painting. The connotation of the “blank space” in Chinese painting exceeds its own expressive significance, which makes the picture form the aesthetic principle of emotional blending, virtual and real combination and dynamic and static integration. Through the “blank space”, it deepens the artistic characteristics of the picture and sublimates the expression of “form” in Chinese painting.

Unity Painting is a concept that the researcher put forward to locate his own creative style in his creation. Unity Painting, with a clue of reflecting the characteristics of contemporary oriental visual culture, combines the contemporary painting features of a variety of western painting languages. It aims to link the painting system formed in the context of oriental culture with the world's contemporary art and try to present a new contemporary painting with oriental genes. According to the Chinese literature, the researcher sorted out the five main colors(五正色), ten colors for Heavenly Stems(十天干色彩), five intermediate colors(五间色), and five colors as the expression of the Chi of Thriving and Fading and the Chi of Birth and Death, and deduced the summary and stipulation of the color of yin-yang and five elements under the concept of Unity Painting. Based on this, the researcher drew the color-phase and its variation stipulation diagram of ten colors for Heavenly Stems, the orientation of Heavenly Stems (天干方位), color-phase variation diagram (色相变化图), as well as the stipulation system diagram of the five elements (五行), Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches (干支), energy, time and colors. Through the research and collation of the literature, the researcher took the stipulated five elements color (五行色彩) as the basis of the color concept of creation to complete the work. This paper discusses how to find the starting point of contemporary art creation in the context of traditional oriental culture, sorts out the practical creation logic, and provides ideas for subsequent researchers, with a view to better establishing the identity of the creator and providing research significance and value in the context of the study of oriental art.

The Han Dynasty was the great unification dynasty in history after the Qin Dynasty. Since the Han Dynasty inherited the Qin system, the seal script of the Han Dynasty developed continuously based on inheriting the Qin Small Seal Script. With the progress of social productivity, the Official Script gradually replaced the Seal Script in the Han Dynasty, but the Seal Script did not disappear completely; instead, a special line of development arose under the influence of the Official Script. Through the study of seal script of Han Dynasty inscriptions, this paper understands that the practical function of seal script of inscriptions has been weakening under the influence of clerical script, but the aesthetic value has been increasing day by day. Moreover, there were new artistic innovations in the context of the development of the diversification of inscriptional forms, and its emphasis on social role, cultural status, and the presentation of an aesthetic style that had a profound impact on later generations are worth studying.

This study investigates the association between corporate international diversification and audit fees and audit hours. Korean firms’ overseas investment has rapidly increased in recent years and the trend of international diversification is expected to accelerate in the future. Thus, it is important to investigate how auditors respond to globally diversified firms. Our empirical findings show that internationally diversified firms incur higher audit fees and audit hours. This suggests that auditors perceive global diversification as being a higher business risk and require higher external audit fees so that they can decrease audit risk arising from inherent organizational complexity. Further, auditors expand audit procedures to collect more audit evidences, exerting increased audit effort. This study provides empirical evidences that corporate global diversification results in higher audit fees and audit hours. Auditors may refer to these results when planning their audit and determining audit fees and audit hours.

Psychiatric nursing is a specialty where nursing students experience many difficulties in applying what they have learned in theory to clinical practice. Therefore, a situation-oriented case-based strategy is required to help them overcome the limitations of psychiatric nursing clinical practice and reduce their burden. This study aimed to measure the effectiveness of a psychiatric nursing clinical practice program using situation-oriented case-based learning. Participants comprised 63 nursing students in psychiatric nursing classes. The students were asked to create a scenario of interaction between a nurse and patient based on a case study. Empathy, therapeutic communication ability, and attitudes toward mental illnesses were measured. We analyzed the effectiveness of the program by comparing changes in the nursing students' empathy, therapeutic communication ability, and attitude toward mental illness after the program. The participants showed significant increases in empathy and therapeutic communication abilities. However, there were no significant changes in attitudes toward mental illnesses. Based on the results of this study, it is expected that situation-based learning will be effective for students who have difficulties in certain aspects, such as COVID-19, or where there are limited clinical practice opportunities, such as psychiatric nursing.

The purpose of this study is to develop an e-teaching portfolio to perform a teaching portfolio of an instructor on the web. I order to carry out this study, an initial model of the e-teaching portfolio was developed through systematic literature review, and the final e-teaching portfolio was developed by selecting and applying five students, then modifying and supplementing them. The study period was from May 1 to May 20, 2022. As a result of the study, the components of the finally developed e-teaching portfolio are Step 1: Understanding oneself, Step 2: Goal setting, Step 3: Learning strategy, Step 4: Self-check. In conclusion, the program developed through this study is a convenient function that can process everything in one place by connecting the fragmented teaching results, and the developed e-teaching portfolio can promote interaction between individuals by building a community. It has possible characteristics. In order to systematically activate the e-teaching portfolio developed through this study, it is necessary to establish an online management system for systematic operation. Furthermore, an institutional device is needed to guarantee the result of the developed e-teaching portfolio. In order to continuously manage the quality of the teaching portfolio, extrinsic rewards that stimulate the instructor's intrinsic motivation should be provided.

We compared and analyzed the changes in students' science grades and their effects on science grades by level (upper, middle, and lower) according to non-face-to-face and face-to-face teaching-learning. 66 students from A Middle School in Gyeongsangnam-do were selected for the study. As a result of analyzing the change in science grades according to the teaching-learning type, the average score of science grades by non-face-to-face teaching-learning was lower than the corresponding score of science grades of face-to-face teaching-learning. As a result of comparing the level of understanding of learning content according to the evaluation type (paper-written, study-paper) in non-face-to-face and face-to-face teaching-learning, the average scores of science grades by paper-written and study-paper evaluations in non-face-to-face teaching-learning were significantly low. In addition, as a result of comparing the effect on science grades by level according to the teaching-learning type, the average score of science grades of lower-ranked students in non-face-to-face teaching-learning was relatively low.

This study intends to examine gender differences in predictors of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccination intention based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). Specifically, this study investigated whether the variables constituting TPB might show differential effects on college men and women’s HPV vaccination intention. The current study also examined which specific subjective norms are more influential in explaining HPV vaccination intention of men and women. The results of an online survey revealed that females showed significantly higher intention to get the HPV vaccine and perceived behavioral control than male students. Female students’ vaccination intention was best predicted by perceived behavioral control whereas friend norm was the most influential predictor of male students’ intention to get the HPV vaccine. The results of this study provide implications for persuasive strategies required to appeal to college men and women to increase HPV vaccination rate.
