The demand for energy in Thailand has been continually increasing as the economic and social country grows. Approximately 60% of Thailand’s primary energy is imported, mostly petroleum products. In 2008 Thailand’s total energy consumption was 80,971 ktoe and the net price of energy imported was up to 1,161 billion Baht which is equivalent to 12.8% of GDP at the current price. The energy consumption or energy demand has been growing at an annual compounded growth rate of 6.42% and the peak electric power demand and electricity consumption was recorded at 22,568 MW and 148,264 GWh and grew at a rate of 7.0% and 7.5% per annum during the period from 1989 to 2008. The gross agriculture production in 2008 was recorded at 135.4 Mt which represents agriculture residue for energy at 65.73 Mt, which is equivalent to energy potential of about 561.64 PJ or 13,292 ktoe an increase in average of 5.59% and 5.44% per year respectively. The agricultural residues can converted to 15,600 GWh/year or 1,780 MW of power capacity. So, if government sector plan to install small biomass gasification for electricity generation 200 kW for Community. The residue agricultural is available for 8,900 plants nationwide. The small biomass power generation for electricity generation not only to reduce the energy imports, it also makes the job and income for people in rural areas as well. This paper’s aim is to report the energy situation in Thailand and has studied 5 main agricultural products with high residue energy potential namely sugarcane, paddy, oil palm, cassava, and maize appropriate for small electricity production. These agricultural products can be found planted in many rural areas throughout Thailand. Finally, discuss the situation, methods and policies which the government uses to promote small private power producers supplying electricity into the grid.

In the present study, a single cylinder four stroke dual fuel diesel engine was tested to investigate the performance and emission characteristics of various test fuels. The engine was tested in dual fuel mode using diesel and Karanja biodiesel blends as pilot fuel along with Natural gas as primary fuel with a constant gas flow rate under different loading conditions. From the experimentation it was found that smoke opacity and oxides of nitrogen (NOx) are at low level for all the prepared test fuels in dual fuel mode but the emissions of carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2) and hydrocarbon (HC) were found higher. In comparison to diesel fuel, by increasing the blend percentage different emission parameters are found to be reduced. At different loading conditions all the test fuels show poor performance in dual fuel mode of operation when compared with single mode of operation with diesel and biodiesel. With increase in gas flow rates, except (NOx) and smoke emissions, the other emission parameters like CO, HC and CO2 values increased for all test fuels. Again, all blended fuels showed lower performance compared to diesel. The maximum pilot fuel savings for diesel was found decreasing with the increase in karanja biodiesel. From the present work it may be concluded that Karanja biodiesel with Natural gas in dual mode can be can used as promising alternative for diesel with some required engine modifications and further research must be carried out to minimize the emissions of CO, HC and CO2.

Technology in the animation industry has evolved significantly over the past decade. The tools to create animation are becoming more intuitive to use. Animators now spend more time on the artistic quality of their work than wasting time figuring out how to use the software that they rely on. However, one particular tool that is still unintuitive for animators is the motion graph editor. A motion graph editor is a tool to manipulate the interpolation of the movements generated by the software. Although the motion graph editor contains a lot of options to control the outcome of the animation, the emotional rhythm of the movements desired by the animator still depends on the animator’s skill, which requires a very steep learning curve. More often than not, animators had to resort to trial and error methods to achieve good results. This inevitably leads to slow productivity, susceptible to mistakes, and waste of resources. This research will study the connection between the motion graph profile and the emotions they portray in movements. The findings will hopefully be able to provide animators reference materials to achieve the emotional animation they need with less effort.

Due to the high increment in usage and built-in advanced technology of smartphones, human activity recognition relying on smartphone sensor data has become a focused research area. In order to reduce noise of collected data, most of previous studies assume that smartphones are fixed at certain positions. This strategy is impractical for real life applications. To overcome this issue, we here investigate a framework that allows detecting the status of a traveller as idle or moving regardless the position and the direction of smartphones. The application of our work is to estimate the total energy consumption of a traveller during a trip. A number of experiments have been carried out to show the effectiveness of our framework when travellers are not only walking but also using primitive vehicles like motorbikes.

Morphology evolution of the active layer in bulk hetero-junction organic photovoltaic is modeled and visualized. The width of the phase domain can be predicted using the relationship of characteristics length and evolution time of the process. The 3D numerical simulation of the PCBM/P3HT blend morphology evolution with respect to time is presented. It is observed that the domain width of composition phase can be predicted by using the relationship between value of characteristic length R(t) and evolution time t.

In recent years, the development and application of green energy resources have attracted more and more /* `tention of people. The training room presented here is focused on the terminal applications of a photovoltaic power generation system (PPGS). Through introducing the composition and the general design principles, we aimed at leading the students to master the fundamental skills required for its design, installation and construction. The training room consists of numerous platforms, such as: PPGS, Wind and Photovoltaic Hybrid Power Generation Systems, Wind Power Generation Equipments, Simulative Grid-Connected Power Generation System, Electronic Technology Application of New Energy, etc. This enables the students to obtain their project and professional skills training via assembling, adjusting, maintaining and inspecting, etc., various component parts of the photovoltaic and new energy power generation systems, to further grasp the fundamental and related theoretical knowledge, and to further reinforce their practical and operational skills, so as to improve their problem-analyzing and problem-solving abilities.
