Objective: Despite the recommendation of the use of high-fidelity simulation (HFS) in interprofessional education (IPE), there is little known about its work for nursing students. Thus, this study aimed to explore nurse educators’ perceptions and experiences in developing and implementing the HFS-based IPE for nursing and medical students. Methods: This study used a case study, using reflective filed notes. Results: Nursing educators perceived HFS as an effective educational approach to engaging nursing and medical students actively in interprofessional collaborative practice (ICP) experiences and in evaluating their actual performance on it. In terms of their perspectives on the elements necessary for effective HFS-based IPE, four themes were identified: collaborative learning, co-facilitating debriefing, leadership commitment and active faculty involvement.

The outbreak of COVID-19 has significantly impacted various facets of individuals' lives, including perceptions, leisure activities, work-family balance, and overall life satisfaction. This study aims to explore the intricate relationships among changes in perceptions due to COVID-19, leisure activity satisfaction, work-family conflict, and life satisfaction of married working women. Employing path analysis, we examined a dataset of 1,973 married working women drawn from the 8th Korean Women and Families Panel Survey. The findings indicate that while changes in perception associated with COVID-19 did not directly affect leisure activity satisfaction and life satisfaction, they did significantly decrease work-family conflict, indirectly leading to heightened life satisfaction. Additionally, leisure activity satisfaction emerged as a mitigating factor for work-family conflict, contributing to enhanced life satisfaction. These results emphasize the importance of understanding the interplay between external factors, individual perceptions, and well-being, offering insights for devising tailored strategies. The study holds significance in guiding policies and interventions to enhance the quality of life for married working women in the context of evolving pandemic challenges.

This research aimed to validate the Korean version of the Workforce Agility Scale (K-WAS) among care workers for community-dwelling frail elderly. The study involved 192 care workers from Gyengsangnam-do, who completed a structured questionnaire between May 31 and July 15, 2023. The K-WAS, a 13-item instrument measured on a 5-point Likert scale, captures three key aspects of workforce agility: proactivity, adaptability, and resilience. Confirmatory factor analysis was employed to ascertain the scale's construct validity. The K-WAS demonstrated a significant positive correlation with psychological empowerment (r=.560, p<.001), thereby establishing its criterion validity. Although the results suggest that the K-WAS is a valid and reliable tool for assessing workforce agility among care workers, further refinement is recommended. The K-WAS is anticipated to aid in the implementation and evaluation of interventions focused on enhancing workforce agility among care workers for frail elderly. By providing a valid and reliable measure of workforce agility, the K-WAS can facilitate the evaluation of these interventions' effectiveness in improving outcomes for the frail elderly and_ enhancing the overall quality of care delivery.

The purpose of this paper is to consider the expansion of non -traditional security threats and the national-level response to the emergence of emerging security threats in ultra-uncertain VUCA situations. As a major research method for better analysis, the theoretical approach was referred to papers published in books and academic journals, and technical and current affairs data were studied through the Internet and literature research. The instability and uncertainty of the international order and security environment in the 21st century brought about a change in the security paradigm. Human security emerged as the protection target of security was expanded to individual humans, and emerging security was emerging as the security area expanded. Emerging security threats that have different characteristics from traditional security threats are expressed in various ways, such as cyber threats, new infectious disease threats, terrorist threats, and abnormal climate threats. First, the policy and strategic response to respond to emerging security threats is integrated national crisis management based on artificial intelligence applying the concept of Foresight. Second, it is to establish network - based national crisis management smart governance. Third, it is to maintain the agile resilience of the concept of Agilience. Fourth, an integrated response system that integrates national power elements and national defense elements should be established.

A prerequisite for a lasting ceasefire is the emergence of a prevailing view in Moscow and Kyiv that the fighting has reached a hurting stalemate. In sum, they both lose more through continuing warfare than by a ceasefire. This study applies social identity dynamics of nationalism to this escalatory conflict. It generates findings that imply that China as a third-party great power intervening mediator can potentially play a pivotal role. Shifting the respective prevailing views in Moscow and Kyiv of their interaction from a zero-sum foundation requires proffering powerful economic and political third-party incentives. Effective inducement would facilitate national defense, development and prestige for Moscow as well as Kyiv. China arguably has the underutilized potential power capabilities necessary to alter the respective prevailing views of strategic relationships among the great powers within Moscow, Brussels and Washington. A prerequisite for success in striving effectively towards this strategic goal is cooperation with the Beijing despite skepticism from Washington. This study utilizes a process tracing methodological approach. It highlights that the foundations of the Russo-Ukraine war lie in the institutionalization within Euro-Atlantic integration of the Cold War assumption that the USSR was an imperialist revisionist actor. Russia is the USSR’s successor state. Moscow’s prevailing view is that Russian national self-determination was unjustly circumscribed in the multinational Soviet totalitarian Communist system. The Euro-Atlantic community is perceived as a neo-colonial imperial threat by allying with post-1991 Ukrainian nationalism at Russia’s expense. The study finds that acknowledging Eurasian regional multipolarity is necessary, if not sufficient, to coopt Beijing into a global political stabilization strategy. It functionally aims to promote international balancing to lessen potentials for horizontal as well as vertical escalation of the Russo-Ukrainian conflict.

The purpose of this study was to clarify the concept of LGBT cultural competence in nurses. This study used Walker and Avant's 8 steps of conceptual analysis. The specific steps are: (1) selecting the concept, (2) selecting the purpose of concept analysis, (3) identifying the scope of concept use, (4) identifying the determinant attributes of the concept, (5) presenting model cases, (6) additional cases of the concept (boundary cases, opposite cases, and related cases), (7) identifying antecedents and consequences, and (8) presenting empirical evidence. As a result, five attributes of nurses' LGBT cultural competence were identified in the final 12 articles: cultural experience and cultural acceptance, cultural knowledge, cultural attitude and awareness, and cultural skills. Antecedents included diversification of society, heteronormative healthcare environment, continuing education and training, intercultural understanding, and open-mindedness. Outcomes of cultural competence were identified as reducing LGBT health inequalities and providing quality care. In conclusion, this study contributes to providing a basis for improving the quality of nursing care by providing more culturally appropriate care to the target population through conceptual analysis and understanding of nurses' LGBT cultural competence. Furthermore, it is necessary to continue research on the development of tools to measure nurses' LGBT cultural competence and the development of nursing intervention programmes that can be applied in nursing practice.
