Ecosystems of the southwestern tidal flats in Korean peninsula have been seriously injured by human activities. The results are mainly due to the lack of public recognition and education on tidal flats. In particular, thoughtless visitors in tidal flats are giving rise up damages because of non-systematic experience programs to tidal flat ecosystems. Therefore, experience programs friendly to natural tidal flats are necessary as a plan to reserve tidal flats and to enhance the effects of environment education on the flats. Experience learning programs on tidal flats can divide into direct experience, indirect experience and local society works. Direct experience work must undergo tidal flats directly and consider on forming the flats with natural refinement functions. Indirect experience includes deeper knowledge on role, circumstance and ecosystems of the flats on the bases of direct experience on the flats. In addition, local society learning must have the feeling and understanding on socio-cultural characteristics of local society itself through above two works. Experience activity would be a kind of injuring one to tidal flats. However, appropriately planned experience and education works on tidal flats could be sustainable development to attract desirable human activity on coastal ecosystems.

This study aims to analyze a selective examination for the gifted and talented from a domain-general and special standpoint. For this, we analyzed gifted and talented test results carried out by Gifted and Talented Education institute affiliated with the university of Education located in the central region of South Korea. This test consisted of three sections which are giftedness in the first round, academic aptitude in the second round and interview in the last round. I conducted the analysis of variance of the giftedness test result to the gifted and talented group in each subject from the domain-general point of view. As a result, the each group was not significant. This means that the gifted and talented in each subject has giftedness from the domain-general viewpoint. Secondly, I implemented the analysis of correlation among three test such as giftedness, academic aptitude and interview conducted during the selective process for the gifted and talented. The result was that they had a low or no correlations between them and were not significant. This demonstrated that each test checked a different area. That is, we came to realize that the first, second and third test evaluates a different area and in particular, with the result that the first and second test had a low or no correlations between both of them we realized that they evaluated a different area from a domain-special standpoint. The purpose of this study is meaningful to investigate in terms of how the selective test for the gifted and talented is conducted from a domain-general and special standpoint as a recent study viewpoint about the gifted and talented along with creativity. It is too limited to generalize this result because this test was sampled by one region but, this study indicates that we should take a domain-general and special standpoint into account when it comes to selection for the gifted and talented.

The ultimate goal of environment education plays an important role in forming knowledge, skill, attitude and a point of value along with sustainable development in the regions. Recently, however, environment education is comparatively despised due to college-entrance-exam-focused education policy. Ironically, environment education is more actively implemented at informal institutes rather than formal ones. Environment education at schools is based on the school curriculum, but at informal educational institutes enjoy much more freedom in choosing learners, places and programs. Among them, the place is one of the most important factors of environment education. Therefore, in order to maximize the goal of environment education in this study, a specified program was developed and applied to a certain place to investigate its features and effects. Also the program was checked if it reflexes the environment education goal by using environment education program analysis frame. The results are as follows; according to the analysis of the program, the program was most effective for the two goals of offering hands-on experience and presenting motivations. The second most effective result of the program lied in the goal of knowledge, functions, value and attitude. And the teachers who used this program concluded that, when the program was applied to unmanned islands, offered stronger motivation due to their natural surroundings. Furthermore, direct experience is recommended because it can give us better conditions to collect data and to enhance interpretation ability.

Earth science is the study to explore the planet in which we live. Among these earth science geology of the area it can be the most critical and important study. However, because of the size and scope is too broad temporal spatial eurona covered in geology is true that many students find difficult about the geology field. In this study, in conjunction with landscape formation of geologic time for the concept to be among the core areas of Geology examined the concept and recognize it as the destination for high school students. Is a test tool for the analysis was adapted for use by Jolley (2010) has developed LIFT (The Landscape Identification and Formation Test). Currently we fix the strip to match the country through a validity check of the curriculum. Results of the study were as follows: First, the ability to check the landscape and formation is expected to estimate the time and the liberal arts students was higher than the natural science students. The reason for this seems to be the influence of learning geographical subjects. Second, the concept of geological time was found to lack both natural science and liberal arts students. The reason is that the students in the previous process because it deals with the concept of geologic time from the top of Earth Science Education Ⅱ seems to be because there was no chance of learning about geological time. Third, the results confirm the confidence of the students surveyed in the landscape formation time natural science students was higher than liberal arts students. The research measured gender boys higher than girls. Fourth, the students on the landscape and geological time was found to have a number of misconceptions. This appears to be due to the students to feel difficulty in thinking of the concept because the need to understand the abstract geologic time. Therefore, it is necessary just to hold misconceptions about the concept of geology students have through the study of the landscape and geological time.
