PACS Based on DICOM Standards for the Scalability of Research and Implementation

With the increasing popularity of DICOM devices, traditional medical equipment is still in a large number of applications. This paper is aimed at the shortcomings of the terminal design and expansion of the existing medical imaging system and analyze them. Complete medical imaging system based on DICOM, it also has the ability to support traditional equipment and third party software at the same time, a complete design scheme is given in this paper. We adopt a loosely coupled design between system components, data transmission uses a common XML data format and Web Service technology to achieve data transmission of distributed component. The proposed scheme has proven case to support, the system has good expansibility, it can be upgraded with the enterprise's equipment, it is compatible with old and new equipment and it greatly improve the practical and cost-effective system.
Urban Regeneration Utilizing Art : A Case Study of the Samlye Art Village, Korea

The Samlye Art Village was one of the poorest villages in North Jeolla Province with only few attractions. Its history dated back to the colonial period in the early 20th century has many tragic stories behind. The village was originally the warehouse in which Japanese stored the plundered rice. Japanese colonists founded it in 1920 and continued to use it as rice storage. After gaining independence, Wanju-gun remodeled the village into a cultural complex cultural. This study aims to suggest a model for urban regeneration by introducing a successful case of the Samlye Art Village.
Improvement and Research on Efficient Motion Estimation Algorithm in Video Compression

To improve and enhance the estimation speed and accuracy of motion estimation, this paper proposes a fast diamond search algorithm with improved search strategy; researches motion estimation algorithm by using pattern block matching; analyzes and set up fast searching algorithm model based on the fast convergence characteristics of three step search, the central distribution characteristics of new three step search and the approximate global optimal characteristics of diamond search; use the coarse positioning and fortified halfway stop technologies to establish improved diamond search algorithm; gives the method of reducing the number of search bits. Through experiment and analysis, the results show that the improved diamond search algorithm can effectively reduce the matching points
Design of User Feedback Interface for Dynamic Updating of E-Book Content

With the development of IT technology, the book was able to be in a digital device. As interest in electronic books increased, there were various attempts different from existing paper book. However successful e-book service model did not come out y. In addition, the emergence of Web 2.0 maximized the active participation of users. Readers want to actively participate on reading rather than passively reading the books. Also the number of cases that providing the feedback that share one's phrase or a good review with others, have been increased. In this paper, we propose a publishing service that uses users’ feedbacks as reader participating e-book content. Existing feedback was in the form of sharing notes and annotations, such as an overall review of the e-book and highlight. However, in this paper, we focus on using user feedback as e-book content by pre-defining feedback at the time of authoring a book. For this purpose, we designed the interface to update e-book content dynamically, considering what to input, how to collect and show output result.
Application of an Improved DV-HOP Algorithm in WSN

As the DV-Hop algorithm in wireless sensing does not perform well in terms of accuracy, a DV-Hop sensor node location algorithm based on the Steffensen iteration method is presented in this paper. First, the wireless sensor nodes are located roughly through the DV-Hop algorithm; then, the location result is checked and corrected with the Steffensen iteration method, to realize accurate location. The simulation experiment shows that the node location accuracy is improved significantly by using the algorithm presented in this paper, which is more widely applicable.

A Key Frame Extraction Algorithm Based on Clustering and Compressive Sensing

Key frame extraction is considered as one of the most critical issues in content-based video retrieval technology (CBVR). In this paper, an efficient key frame extraction algorithm based on unsupervised clustering and compressive sensing is proposed. Firstly, three types of filters with various scales are employed to generate high dimensional feature of each frame in one shot, which will be projected to low dimensional feature by a very sparse random projection matrix that satisfies the condition of Restricted Isometry Property (RIP), and then sub-shot segmentation is conducted by an unsupervised clustering method in order to divide one shot into sub-shot collections, in which each class of clustering represents one sub-shot. Finally, the Bhattacharyya coefficient is used to measure the similarity between frame and class center, the frame with the maximum similarity value is selected as the key frame in each sub-shot. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method could extract key frames efficiently and properly.
A Frequency-Shift Keying Modulation Technique Using a Fractal Ring-Oscillator

A novel way of achieving the well-known FSK(Frequency-Shift Keying) modulation was introduced and verified. A simple form of CMOS ring-oscillator, that is generating a GHz level of frequency, was used as a base frequency generator. With its fractal structure, a local change in the oscillator will yield a global frequency change, which is to serve for the FSK. A local change is done with different number of inverting amplifiers in the ring oscillator with a multiplexer. Depending on how many cell changes, the frequency shifts are controlled and can be selected. The measured frequency difference between the shifts was from 9.2% up to 22.5%, in GHz range in CMOS SPICE simulations. Layout for CMOS implementation is also included.

Finance is the core of modern economy, and the capital market as a part of the whole financial system, it is the key to the development of a country's economy. In this paper, we analyze the impact of stock index futures on the stock market by using CSI 300 index. The result shows that the stock index futures not significant effects on the volatility of spot market; however, there exist a co integration relationship in both long term and short term. Granger causality analysis shows that the stock index future is not Granger cause to CSI 300, while the CSI 300 is Granger cause stock index futures. On this basis, we put forward relevant policy suggestions.
