Interference Mitigation Technique through Shielding and Antenna Discrimination

Interference mitigation between IMT-Advanced and Fixed Satellite Services (FSS) is presented in this article. Toward this goal, an analytical model has been developed based on the deterministic analysis of the propagation model. The IMT-Advanced system parameters have been represented by Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) 802.16e. The use of VSAT unit and different shielding materials is considered. The testing is performed in the Anechoic Chamber as well as outdoor, and deployment is designed to fulfill FSS signal receiving criteria. A strong positive correlation was found between path loss parameters various terrains for different deployment areas. The Antenna discrimination has been discussed alongside the shielding absorption coefficients of the suggested materials. Then the antenna discrimination proposal is demonstrated with a high degree of capability to reduce the harmful power interference from IMT-Advanced base station towards the FSS receiver.
A Digital Oil Painting Approach

In this paper, we present a method which gives oil painting effect for color images. In general, oil painting method is a process of painting with pigments that are bound with drying oil. The oil painting is widely adopted for artist who utilizes different oils. The proposed method uses digital painting approach and makes an original image painted with oil. The main purpose of oil painting is to generate visually friendly image. The conventional oil painting method requires large computations and long execution time. However our proposed method needs less complexity due to its simplicity. Performance comparison is provided that proves the reliability of our proposed method.

As traffic surveillance technology continues to grow worldwide vehicle detection, counting, tracking and classification are gaining importance. This paper proposes computer vision based real time vehicle detection, tracking and classification at urban intersections. Firstly, foreground extraction using double subtraction method is proposed, which increases the accuracy of blob detection. Classification based on the geometrical attributes of the vehicle and also quadrant division of the junction is put forward. Setting up dynamic ROIs is discussed, which increased the scope of traffic surveillance for different types of junctions. The proposed system is implemented using Intel Open CV library for image processing and video processing applications. The Practical implementation of the algorithm is made with C++ and computer vision. Several junction surveillance videos are used to evaluate the performance of the traffic surveillance system. In this paper, detection, tracking and classification of objects in with removal of shadow and ghost vehicles at different junction in video surveillance .Proposed work elaborated computer vision approach for Traffic monitoring in traffic surveillance application. Test results in the performance of the proposed algorithm in detection, classification and counting and proved the effectiveness of the traffic surveillance system. Obtained results showed a better performance in terms of accuracy.
Application of the Semantic Annotation Technology Based on Ontology

To resolve the semantic conflicts in the process of data exchange, the ontology is made full use to describe the characteristics of the relation between concept, adding semantics to XML Schema. In this paper, the semantic conflict resolution model is introduced, the indirect method is applied and the ER model is applied to realize the semantic mapping from relational schema to XML Schema, this is the so-called semantic annotation technology. In the field of railway, there exist some semantic conflict in the data exchange, by the Ontology OWL fragment extracted from the experiment, semantic conflict will be reduced and even eliminated.
Reduced-Complexity k-best Decoder for LTE Standard

This paper presents a VLSI implementation of reduced -complexity and reconfigurable MIMO(Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) signal detector targeting 3GPP-LTE standard. In recent wireless communication system, MIMO technology is considered as the key technique in LTE to meet the target. Maximum Likelihood (ML) detection is the optimal detection algorithm for MIMO systems. FPGA implementation of ML detector becomes infeasible as its complexity grows exponentially with the increase in number of antennas. Therefore, we propose a modified K-best detector algorithm which employs parallel and distributed sorting strategy combined with bitonic sorter that has near-ML detection solution. The design was implemented targeting Xilinx Spartan 6 device and the resource utilization results are presented and the performance comparison with the literature was also done. The total on-chip power estimated is 213mW.

Fluid animation has always been one of the most interesting and challenging projects. Fluid simulation based on physical methods can get vivid result. With its unparallel advantage of simulating incompressible fluid, vortex method is one of the most efficient methods. This paper mainly introduces the classification of vortex methods, draws a conclusion of previous study of vortex methods and makes a comparison between them.

Presence represents a cognitive sense that is subjectively felt by individuals on the existence of objects when it is not feasible to recognize the presence of means in the environment suggested through particular means according to the definition of dictionary. In the various multimedia contents and display system created by development of digital technology, presence is a very important concept. Development of digital technology influenced on the field of art creating the genre named digital art. Digital art is used for how various cutting-edge technologies is represented as the art, and such types of art are currently becoming a very important field of research to recognize the presence. Therefore, this paper has analyzed and investigated methods used to measure presence in the digital art.

The EEG signals are the prime sources to diagnose and manipulate Epilepsy, state of coma and numerous studies. The EEG signals in the active brains constitute various body activities controlled or out of human consciousness. There exist considerable researches that focus to minimize the artifact values in the EEG domain. This paper is the evaluation of detection methods to study their efficiency and constraints of experimental limitations.
