Data communication such as E‐mail has been mainly used via PC, but the Short Message Service (SMS) is widely used in mobile phone after the Personal Communication Service (PCS) was started. Broadcasting technology such DMB is also possible in mobile terminal. Recently, the E‐mail and searching internet is possible in broadcasting terminal such as remote controller of IP‐TV. The conversionce of terminals and services will be accelerated, if technology is updated. Today, numeric keypad is used in various fields, for example, telephone, mobile phone, remote controller, ATM machine, etc. Standardization of Korean keypad on which Korean alphabet characters are marked has been argued. In this paper, the current standard Korean keypad and current text input method of Korean from keypad will be reviewed, and the properties of proper standard Korean keypad is presented. Even though how to induce standardization of Korean keypad is very sensitive matter, it is also mentioned briefly.

Hangeul can be used in writing various languages around the world. For such reason, many regions of the world are considering the use of Hangeul, following the trend of the ‘Korean Wave.’ Accordingly, many researchers are studying methods to use Hangeul to write various languages and spread Hangeul around the world. Considering how to globalize the use of Hangeul and turn it into an international language, this paper suggests a three‐set type Hangeul keyboard for international use. In today’s mobile environment with smart‐phone devices, Hangeul is an excellent bridge that can connect various languages, as well as an optimal character which people lacking their own alphabet can easily use. The one‐hand keyboard suggested in this paper aims to be not only more scientific, but also more convenient for the users compared to previous inputting methods. It is also purposed to input various languages without much difficulties. In short, the goal of this paper is to present a one‐hand Hangeul keyboard that can be used to conveniently input various languages around the world. This paper leaves the study regarding the methods of writing the consonants/vowels of Hangeul to related experts, and focuses on finding an effective way of inputting character through a one‐hand Hangeul keyboard using previous consonants/vowels. In addition, regarding the standardization of a one‐hand inputting method which is still under discussion, this paper tries to suggest an alternative which considers the true meaning of a proper standardization.

I have considered the Korean character sets used in North and South Korea, including unicode and analyzed their way to improvement accord with Korean features. It can be used all around from Korean as a minimal element of following a feature of initial sound, medial vowel, final consonant from ancient data. I presented a character set that can role as a medium for conversion. Korean alphabets arrangement and input methods of 12 keypad are studied. Simply number of strokes are not proper to performance evaluation index. Number of movement, distance of movement, and usage of additive keys must be considered. It is optimal where ㅗ-ㅏ-ㅣ are on 4-5-6 keys. Necessity of old korean alphabets is increasing. Two sets system and three sets system is applicable to approach the design.

The Information of students who are the subjects in educational institution has been being used and recorded under the name of academic management. However, in relation to privacy protection, frequent misuse and abuse of the information has been occurred because their information is used imprudently without consent of the subjects. To prevent violating student’s privacy, we were required to build a personal information protection system which can block reckless access and give restrictively authority to a user who needs access. This paper attempts to apply role-based access control technology to academic affairs information system after researching the status of privacy protection of Chinese students through system of Yanbian University of Science & Technology. Moreover, this thesis introduced role-category and delegation-relations for privacy policy establishment, proposed information flow from the point of view of privacy protection, and established privacy policy to prevent the leaking of personal information caused by frequent delegation.

All the while due to the adoption of different TV broadcasting standards by South and North Korea, difficulties may ensue when promoting media exchange or media liberalization. Among the many media areas this paper compared the ground‐wave TV broadcasting and digital TV broadcasting environments of South and North Korea, and analyzed the rapidly developing field of digital TV broadcasting technology. Afterwards, this paper offers several measures to resolve the difference in the South and North broadcasting standards. Through this paper, there is hope for joint development of South and North TV broadcasting technologies.

The paper proposes a new channel estimation algorithm which has a good performance and low complexity computation in WiBRO system. The proposed method estimates the Time Offset(Sample Delay) and CFO(Carrier Frequency Offset) by using the pilots, after compensate the pilots interpolate them we can compensate the data channels, then can get the improved performance.

This article is an essay which suggests the improving direction of correction function in Han‐gul word processor. In chapter 2, I introduced the classification of errors derive from electric writing from the level of words to full text in the case of both Korean and Foreign students. So, these kinds of errors should be In chapter 3, I examined the precedent researches of correction function in Han‐gul word processor. As a result, almost all articles concentrated in correction of just spelling and word spacing. Therefore, I suggest that the errors of electric writing, especially relating orality in e‐writing, should be corrected in Han‐gul word processor besides the correction of spelling and word spacing.

In this paper, we studied on the effective structure of an e‐Learning Korean Support System for talented students based on computer systems which is to obey the rules of IMS/AICC International Standard regulations based on LCMS and SCORM. The most important task on this study is to support the function of self‐study module through the review of the analysis and results of IT learning and learning customs. We studied the effective PMS detail modules as well as the Standard Competency Module Management System, which related to LMS/LCMS, Learning an Individual Competency Management System, Competency Registry/Repository System, Knowledge Management System based on Community Competency Module, Education e‐survey System and Module learning Support Service System.

The common Object-Oriented Programming(OOP) evaluation system evaluates algorithm and technical factors such as test time and errors excluding Object-Oriented concepts. However, the ambiguity of OOP evaluation including Object-Oriented concepts makes difficult to maintain consistency of grading. In ths paper, we propose a Java Programming Evaluation System applying Object-Oriented Concepts on the basic of it considering polymorphism, data abstraction, inheritance, simplicity to resolve the ambiguity of OOP evaluation. For this, we design systematically an evaluation structure with Object-oriented fators and technical factors of test time and errors. From the organized evaluation system, we established objective criteria and reduced the ambiguity for Java programming evaluation.

A novel mobile robot obstacle avoidance method based on multi‐sensor was proposed. According to distant or close obstacles’ information detected by three front‐end sonar sensors and four PSD sensors respectively, obstacles positional information were definite after analysis process, further, the obstacles were classified into different states by its positional information. So, robot could move under the guidance of strategy which was determined by classification. In order to implement autonomous movement in various situations, a finite state transfer approach was introduced in our method. Finally, experiment has been done on the AS‐R mobile robot platform, and experimental result shows that the method is feasible and reliable.

An approach for analyzing abnormal action of pedestrian based on video sequence was proposed in this paper. Firstly, the binary image of pedestrian was detected using self‐adaptive background updating algorithm. Then, the Radon transform was used to describe geometrical shape of moving person and the energy curves were protracted. Finally, the feature curves of different training action samples were protected, and abnormal action was detected by Euclidean distance. The experimental results show that the abnormal action of pedestrian are exactly analyzed by the proposed method, and it is reasonably robust in background noise and the analysis of moving person which lost detail information.

In this paper, the audio features are researched for the sound of voice. Firstly, the audio data were pre‐emphasized and 6‐layer wavelet packet decomposition was performed for extracting the 24 band wavelet coefficients. Secondly, the 72 dimensional features vector set was constructed, including centroid, energy and wavelet entropy in each band. Finally, the audio data were trained and classified using of SVM. The experimental results show that the extracted audio features are effective and reasonable, and lead to satisfactory classification performance.
