Diagnostic display monitor QA according to AAPM TG18 is usually performed by PACS administrator, prcxiuct manager and reading doctor, and for acceptance testing and periodic quality control evaluation, a combination of visual and quantitative tests can be used, as outlined in sections 5 and 6 of assessment of display performance for medical imaging systems’. Although many display tests can be performed visually, a more objective and quantitative evaluation of display performance requires special test tools. The required instruments vary in their complexity and cost, depending on the context of the evaluation(research, acceptance teeing, or quality control) and how thorough the evaluation needs to be. Objective and reliable assessment of many display characteristics can be performed with relatively inexpensive equipment. So, we made ‘AAPM TG18 guiding instrument, to use variable purpose of the evaluation of geometrical distortions(quantitative)' veiling glare(visual)’ and sensor calibration’. The spatial measurements for the quantitative evaluation of geometric distortions, and the measurement of the veiling-glare ring response function which provides information regarding the spatial extent of the luminance spread, can be performed using the TG18-QC test pattern, TG18-GV pattern and the AAPM TG18 evaluation shield. Addi仕onally, AAPM TG18 guiding instrument can be used to sensor calibration to standardize the basic rate of 0% luminance when periodic calibration.

PURPOSE To analyze the input and output error of data CD which records the image information and the problems of the server of the compatibility. And to report a compatibility assessment and verification of suitable to DICOM of PACS data CD with investigation of current situation of Korea METHOD AND MATERIALS Data CD of each 8 vendors in 30 hospitals was analyzed. We grasped a main verification element existence of a generation compatibility of data CD. The items of element are media identification, DICOM compression, DICOM viewer send, specified object information modify, auto-run, DICOM content type, etc, and give 1 point for each item. We divided the assessment about an each item into 5 levels. Verification about DICOM conformance by using DICOM validation tool kit is shown to be classified pass or fail according to error occurrence of tag value. Classify the frequency of tag occurrence as the item. RESULTS The average point of data CD compatibility is 8 point (very good), lowest is 5 point (6.6%), and highest is 10 point (23%). Most high occurrence frequencys distribution is 7 point (36.6%). As a result of verification about DICOM conformance, PASS in 8 items and fail in 22 items. The item of tag error is value length numbers exceeds maximum length numbers (14 items), DICOM error of modality (10 items), discord of pixel data length (6 items), etc. CONCLUSION The compatibility of PACS data CD in Korea is excellent, over 7 point (85%). Important factors of DICOM conformance are the number of Korean alphabet and whether modality supports DICOM or not. It must be put such problems in the mind when making a data CD.

I. Objective The composition method with acquiring 2 〜5 images not only lack perfection in compensating the geometrical distortion but could also cause inaccurate connection problem of continuing bone structure due to the enlargement ratio difference of ruller and bone, density difference in image composition process. This paper studies those mentioned problems through the experiments. n. Object and method Experiment 1 After attaching 3 step wedge(Pb) on detector and 2 ruller on upper, lower part of the step wedge, we have exposed them to create density difference between 1st image and 2nd image, then examined if there were any errors. Experiment 2 1st 100cm ruller was attached on the center of detector, and by escalating the distance between 2nd 100cm ruller and detector 5cm, 10cm, 15cm respectively, we investigated if there were any errors caused by enlargement ratio. Experiment 3 The ruller was placed on detector, a joint photographing was performed through spot photographing after fully operating the electric field photographing to include hip joint 〜 ankle joint part and we have conwed the values from two methods. HI. Result : A horizontal axis error was caused 난ten photographing is not operated in equal density since the image shifted horizontally in accordance with the difference of Pb step wedge phase 1 due to the density difference, as the result of Experiment 1. Result of experiment 2, refer to the table below, Result of experiment 3, refer to the table below IV. Conclusion The horizontal axis error was caused by density difference, as the result of experimentl, an error was also caused by enlargement ratio difference of ruller and bone, as the result of experiment 2 and in experiment 3, vertical axis error was caused by geometrical distortion. Through these experiments, we came up with the methods of calculating precise enlargement ratio of detector and bone structure through composition acquired 2—5 images of pa仕ent's frontal, lateral images and also by measuring the exact length of the bone through spot photographing. However, those methods could not guarantee the accurate condensation due to increasing radiation exposure level and the flexion from articular surface within bone anatomy structure. Current method, the composition of acquired 2 〜5 images, requires the solution for described problems of the experiment results.

Recently, MR Cholangiography used mainly by controlling of patient's breathing. There is breathing hold techniques to get images within short 仕me and gating technique adjusted to respiration cycle for high resolution images. In this study, the aim of this experiment is to know on clinical usefulness compared with PACE and RTG techniques. This study's period is from 2006 in November to 2007 in January. A total of 21 patients investigated at MAGNETOM Sonata 1.5T (SIEMENS Erlangen) with use of 12ch body coil. MR acquisition protocol used 3D turbo spin echo coronal sequence. Scan parameters applied to optimal setting in use as gating techniques, respectively. Analysis of consuming timing evaluated with rapidness. As analysis of quantity, the common bile duct, gall bladder measured in signal intensities, then these data were calculated by signal to noise ratio and contrast to noise ra仕o. Qualitative analysis, experienced 2radiologists and 3 RTs were evaluated into 3groups about artifact, accuracy of lesions, sharpness of the common bile duct or gall bladder. As a result of analysis, when compared to PACE, consuming time of the RTG took less than PACE. On both CNRs and SNRs, PACE technique was slightly high values than RTG(p<0.05). Qualitative analysis' results, discrimination of lesions in the common bile duct, gall bladder get a significance level in both RTG and PACE techniques but presences artifact of breathing and pulsation highly demonstrate in PACE techniques. In conclusion, both PACE and RTG methods at MRCP provided prominently clinical information for the common bile duct, gall bladder. If machines have not limitation with performance, induction of breathing holding also will help getting diagnos仕c quality.
