Thanks to recent development of science and technology, economic standard has been improved and life expectation has been gradually increased. Accordingly, disease aspect and demand for health have been changed in the concept from conventional center of disease to health improvement. As the health issue in middle and senior age has also been vital in the national health, osteoporosis, one of the physical maladies occuring in these age group, is on the rise as a matter of important concern so that the researches on the osteoporosis have being accomplished actively in several medical domains. Research has been carried out for 735 examined objects, who have received medical examination of bone mineral density in the volunteer medical service of Daegu and Kyungbuk province for recent 4 years. The result indicated that serious osteoporosis prevailed over osteoporosis for male while osteopenia was majority to osteoporosis and that abnormal bone mineral density was more prominent than normal bone mineral density for both male and female. This study is to present basic data which is indispensible to preparation of senior citizen dominated society afterward, investigating the prevalence rate of osteoporosis.

Images of medical treatment on PACS environment are digitized and they make saving and transmission of patients information easy with CD format causing increase of patients transfer rate between hospital and data transmission as well. Figuring out the configuration of confining status of copied images of medical treatment with CD format and present the appropriate way of identification for personal information. 20 general hospital over 500 beds which are utilizing PACS currently. Questionnaire investigation focusing on PACS operation center and it’s management people. In accordance with the law of securing personal informa仕on of public organizations, it says “Anyone who wants to see his or her information via representative he or she needs to make a letter of attorney and turn in this to the president of its possessing facility^^ in the article 16. Based on the investigation of general hospital for CD copy issue status near metropolitan area, 8 out of 20, were issuing CD copy through personal iden仕fication process(the person oneself and representative) and 10 general hospital were doing by getting signature of receiptor only without identification of the person oneself and 2 general hospital confirmation process is not at all. By the law of securing personal informa仕on of public organization, article 16, confirmation process is supposed to mandate lawfully with a letter of attorney when there is any request of reading and/or copies of ones information. But in reality, there were no consistent rules on reading, the process and coverage of copy issue, rejection coverage of copy issue of CD copy in each general hospital PACS operation center. Therefore there is a big need for consolidated format which is applicable by law when the representative requests to issue of CD copy that is storing medical treatment images. By issue through this consolidated format, securing medical informa仕on of individual and systemic operation and management will be valid and effective.

Through this, audio-visual materials could analogize that it is more useful method that use sight and hearing at the same time.

Computed Radiography의 영상특성에 관한 연구

Computed radiography(CR) has been widely used in the field of diagnostic radiography since digital X-ray image was introduced. The imaging performance of CR system was studied by analyzing the digital image data of the CR images which are the outcomes of the whole imaging system composed of image plate(IP), laser digitizer, analoge-digital convertor, and a given image processing unit. In this study, we used a conventional CR system made by Agfa. From the flat field image of 150x150 image pixels, signal-to-noise ra仕o(SNR) was calculated. SNR of the CR image increases in proportion to logarithm value of the X-ray exposure irradiated on the IP. SNR is less than about 6 at the exposure below 0.2mR and is more than 10 at the exposure above 0.54nR. In our study, most of images obtained by the smaller exposures less than 2.0mR can not be readable. In general, the minimum value of the SNR ranges from 3 to 5. We obtained modulation transfer function(MTF) by analyzing the bar pattern image which was made under condi仕ons as follows : X-ray tube poten仕al was 55kVp, the IP exposure was 0.54 mR, and the distance between X-ray source to IP was 2m, where bar pattern was located on the IP. MTF is 23% at 2.51p/mm spatial frequency. Provided that the MTF of noise equivalent modulation is 10%, the CR system has the limiting spatial resolution of 3.21p/mm. If the image sharpness is evaluated by the spatial frequency where MTF is 50%. the corresponding spa仕al frequency is 0.5 〜 0.751p/mm. MTFA(Modula仕on Transfer Function Area) is l.Olp/mm. Compared with the Fuji CR whose MTFA is l.llp/mm, Agfa CR in this study shows almost same MTFA performance

To keep the online medical records available to anyone without constraint of time and space, introducing EMR (Electronic medical record), which is a clinical support management system. The purpose of this study is to develop interface standard of clinical test device. Integration and sharing of medical information is faced with enormous obstacles because medical organizations and associated companies are separately developing the interface. I hope that multi-function management system with workstation concept is operated to efficiently transmit clinical device result data based on this study. Transfer of precise medical result data available for decision making will improve quality of health care service.

Extravasation of contrast material is a not infrequent complication of enhanced imaging studies and large volume extravasation may result in severe damage. Subcutaneous extravasation of the radiographic contrast medium is one of the complications of the contrast medium-enhanced procedures. Automated power injectors enable the contrast material to be delivered at a uniform high-flow-rate and as a nonfragmented bolus, and this is essential for many contrast material enhanced CT(computed tomography) applications. The major risk associated with the use of automated power injectors is the well known complication of contrast material extravasation at the injection site. Automated injection of CT contrast material can produce the compartment syndrome. Selection of the nonionic contrast material after careful evaluation of the intravenous administration site and monitoring of the patient during the use of a mechanical power injector may help minimize or prevent extravasation injuries. Early identification is important and conservative management is effective in most cases. Prevention of these injuries with the education of radiological technologist remains the ultimate aim.
