최근 새롭게 등장한 쇼츠폼은 전세계 각종 플랫폼에서 소비량이 증가하고 있어 콘텐츠 수용의 새로운 전 환점이 되고 있다. 짧은 시간 내에 강렬한 인상을 주는 쇼츠폼은 젊은 소비자층의 콘텐츠 소비패턴에 부응하였다. 특히 중국 소비자들의 매체활동 패턴의 변화와 경제성장에 따라 중국의 쇼츠 드라마 시장이 확대되고 있으며 새 로운 콘텐츠 시장의 수용에 새로운 동력으로 작용할 것으로 보인다. 본 연구는 중국의 쇼츠 드라마의 발전 과정과 특징을 살펴보고 <대영박물관 탈출>(逃出大英博物馆)의 사례분석을 통하여 쇼츠 드라마의 발전 가능성에 대해서 고찰하였다. 그 결과 쇼츠 드라마는 다양한 장르와 소재를 다루고 있으며 내용과 형식 표현의 규제와 비판이 적 고, 제작 진입 장벽이 높지 않기 때문에 콘텐츠 시장의 다양성을 확장할 수 있다는 가능성을 살펴볼 수 있었다. 이러한 가능성을 바탕으로 글로벌 시장 진출이 용이할 것으로 전망되며, 쇼츠 드라마를 비롯한 새로운 콘텐츠 시 장의 확장이 가속화 되는 상황에서 효율적인 전략이 필요할 것으로 예상된다.

The recently introduced shorts form is becoming a new turning point in content acceptance as consumption is increasing on various platforms around the world. The shorts form, which leaves a strong impression in a short period of time, meets the content consumption patterns of young consumers. In particular, with changes in Chinese consumers' media activity patterns and economic growth, China's short drama market is expanding and is expected to serve as a new driving force in the acceptance of the new content market. This study examined the development process and characteristics of Chinese short dramas and considered the development potential of short dramas through a case analysis of <Escape from the British Museum>. As a result, we were able to examine the possibility of expanding the diversity of the content market because shorts dramas cover a variety of genres and materials, have less regulation and criticism of content and formal expression, and do not have high barriers to entry into production. Based on this possibility, it is expected that it will be easy to enter the global market, and an efficient strategy is expected to be necessary as the expansion of new content markets, including short dramas, accelerates.
