Purpose: The study aimed to identify factors that affect college students' learning immersion in non-face-to-face remote classes. Methods: During COVID-19, a survey was conducted on 140 college students who were taking non-face-to-face remote courses at universities located in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and Chungcheong-do, Korea. Data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation coefficients, Independent t-test, ANOVA, and Hierarchial stepwise multiple regression with SPSS (Windows version 27.0). Results: In the study, the most important variable influencing learning immersion was the student’s self-efficacy, followed by instructor presence, class participation, lecture satisfaction, and credits. Conclusion: Instructors who teach major courses at college need to develop and apply ways to enhance learners' self-efficacy and class content that can boost learners' motivation in order to maximize learners' learning immersion. In order to facilitate learners' access to online media and maintain their interest in remote classes, passionate efforts need to be made by active instructors.

Purpose: Over the past two years, most Korean nursing students had to go through distance learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During the pandemic, amental health crisis has emerged among nursing students in South Korea. The study aimed to examine the relationships among social contact, depression, loneliness, and suicidal ideation. Methods: A cross-sectional survey design was used to collect data from nursing students. The survey was conducted onlinein South Korea. A total of 184 nursing students were recruited from December 2021 to April 2022. For data analysis, the frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation of the general characteristics of the subjects were calculated using IBM/SPSS Statistics 25.0. To examine the mediating effect of depression and loneliness on the relationship between social contact and suicidal ideation, multiple linear regression was used to analyze associations among social contact, depression, loneliness, and suicidal ideation. Results: The average age was 22.69±5.66 years (range=18~54), and the sex distribution was 155 females among 184 nursing students. Lower social contact among nursing students was significantly associated with higher depression and loneliness. Loneliness significantly mediated the relationship between social contact and suicidal ideation innursing students. Conclusion: The findings suggest that strategies for enhancing social contact and reducing depression and loneliness should be considered to improve suicidal ideation among nursing students.

Purpose: The study aimed to identify the stress levels and their solutions in MZ(Millennials + generation Z) nursing students by using photovoice through the medium of photography. Methods: The study was conducted from November to December 2022 among freshmen to senior nursing students at a major university. Participants were recruited by telephone, email, and social media. Originally, four participants were recruited for each year of nursing school, but it resulted in a total of 19 participants: three freshmen students, nine sophomore students, four junior students, and three senior students. The participants were asked to take pictures of things in their surroundings that bothered them and things that helped them overcome the bothering things and to have group discussions in groups of 4-5 to analyze the results. Results: The results of the study revealed the following themes: 'Difficulties and worries as a nursing student', 'Striving to go beyond yourself', 'Unhealthy factors', 'Ways to relieve stress', and 'Meaning of stress'. For each of the themes, there were five subcategories under 'difficulties and worries as a nursing student', four under 'fighting with oneself', seven under 'ways to relieve stress', five under 'unhealthy factors', and two under 'meaning of stress', resulting in 21 subcategories. Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, firstly, there is a need to educate university students about the factors that contribute to unhealthy behaviors and how to deal with stress in a healthy way. Secondly, it is necessary to provide programs that allow students to have various experiences.

Purpose: The purpose of the study was to compare the characteristics between adolescents who have run away from home before and who have contemplated running away from home before, and to find risk factors that predict runaway behavior among them. Methods: The data of 「the survey on adolescents' right to adequate housing and the way to ensure their housing with the focus on social exclusion」 by the National Youth Policy Institute (2020) were analyzed. A total of 494 adolescents were included in the study. Descriptive statistics, x2 test, t-test, and simple and multiple logistic regressions were carried out using SAS 9.2. Results: Gender, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and school level were significantly different between the two groups. From the multivariate analysis, the adjusted odds ratio for runaway behavior was significantly higher in male students (AOR: 2.14, p<.001), lower in the middle economic class than in the high economic class (AOR: 0.64, p=.051), lower in the 4th quartile group of self-esteem (AOR: 0.52, p=.041), and higher in high school students (AOR: 1.55, p=.050). Conclusion: Considering that male students, students from wealthier families, students with low self-esteem, and high school students are high-risk groups for runaway behavior, among adolescents who have contemplated running away before, interventions targeting these groups are needed.

Purpose: The purpose of the study is to identify workload measurement indicators for school nurses in order to provide high-quality health care and deploy school nurses effectively. Methods: A second Delphi survey was conducted on 21 experts with more than 5 years of school nurses experience. To develop indicators related to the workload of school nurses, the importance and measurability of a total of 21 workload indicators were investigated, including school nurses characteristics, school characteristics, health needs of students, and socioeconomic determinants. Results: As a result of the Delphi survey, it was found that 6 indicators were suitable in terms of importance and 8 indicators in terms of measurability. The important indicators the panel agreed on include the size of the city where the school is located, the total number of students, the number of classes, the percentage of students with chronic illness, the percentage of students visiting the health office per day, and the percentage of wound care in the health office per day. Conclusion: The percentage of students with chronic illness and the percentage of wound care per day need to be reflected in school nurse workload indicators and follow-up studies are required to shed more light on the socioeconomic determinants of schools.
