Belleville springs can sustain relatively large loads with small deflections and belleville spring washers are especially suited for high loads in small places. Belleville springs are used singly or in stacks to achieve desired load such as power transmission components. The aim of this paper is to design for the belleville spring diameter and thickness to minimize volume of the system. The design is carried out using finding solution in a commercial spreadsheet application software, Microsoft Excel 2007. The numerical results are obtained where the displacement, stress and load in the spring are treated as constraints function.

In General, the surface roughness of turning is depends on cutting condition which are cutting speed, depth of cut, and feed, etc. This study was carried out to presume for mutual relation of turning condition to get optimum surface roughness and experimental equation by variance and multi regression analysis As the result, multiple correlation coefficient was calculated 97%, the coefficient of determination (R2) was calculated 95% and the adjusted coefficient was calculated 97% by multiple regression analysis So, the formula was made by this multiple regression analysis is reliable.

With increasing use of SUH35/SUH3 dissimilar materials for automotive engine valves, it is required that stress singularities under residual stress on an interface for friction welded dissimilar materials analyzed to establish strength evaluation. The stress singularity index() and stress singularity factor( ) were calculated by using the results of stress analysis considering residual stress and loads. The stress singularities on variations for temperatures and loads acting from outside were analyzed and discussed. This paper suggested that the strength evaluation by using the stress singularity factors as fracture parameters, considering the stress singularity on an interface edge of friction welded dissimilar materials will be useful.

This study aims to examine the light weight impact sound insulation of dry type system in apartment house. To achieve this goal, sounds which have same loudness according to rating methods were suggested to subjects. And followings are results. 1) The measurement frequency level average of dry type system-on is more suitable than that of dry type system-off which are dependent on specific frequency for light-weight floor impact sound. 2) Level average for measurement frequency of 100∼セ500Hz is more correspondent to vibration-acoustic response than that of measurement frequency of 100∼!500Hz which is for KS F 2863-2, existing rating method.

Railway noise is one of the main causes of environment impact. Whenever a new railway line is planned or a housing project near an existing railway is proposed, an estimate of the relevant noise levels is usually required. For this, it is necessary to quantify those parameters that affect the railway noise. Therefore we investigated the noise level which subway trains generated passing through the block of test railway track between Hopo and Keumgok station in Busan. This paper shows the status and characteristics of the subway train noise and a subjective evaluation.

Aluminum foam with the property as the excellent impact absorption has been widely used recently. It is necessary to study fracture energy due to fracture toughness by the use of adhesive joint at aluminum foam. This study aims at strength evaluation about adhesive joint on aluminum foam and the fracture of bonded DCB model with this material property is analyzed by simulation. These models are designed by differing in height on the basis of British industrial and ISO standards. As the value of height at model is higher, bonded part is separated to the end. By comparing some analysis results with experimental data, these data could agree with each other. By the verification with experimental results, these all simulation results in this study can be applied on real composite structure with aluminum foam material effectively. The fracture behavior and mechanical property can also be examined by this study.

The Consultation about Energy Use Plan is prescribed by the Energy Use Rationalization Act. In order to analyze the effects of Consultation about Energy Use Plan, case analysis from 2006 to 2010 were carried out. The results of analysis shows that the mean energy use per object is 131,500 toe, that the mean annual energy saving effect is 15.3% and mean annual CO2 reduction effect is 13.7%. These effects are equivalent to 0.7% of 2010 national primary energy consumption. Also benefit-cost ratio during this period is 1.57, it means economic and social effect with the Consultation about Energy Use Plan are very excellent.

A cooling system that applies double collision jet is studied. To create a jet, a square edge type nozzle is used as its shape. The impinging jet that composes a cooling system which applies double impinging jet is created in the single nozzle and double nozzle that correspond to each LED where the cooling zone exists. The distance between the 2nd nozzle and LED with heat sink is where the LED package is established. The main variation and the standard is examined for four different cases through the way out diameter of 1st nozzle. The examined velocity distribution and temperature distribution about the cooling system consisted of single and double nozzle. It was found that an individual LED consisting of double nozzle was efficient.

This paper shows scheduling methods to utilize heat pump systems as demand response resources in the smart grid environment. The heat pump system has a partial thermal storage tank which could be used at any time according to the consumer behavior based on the real time electricity tariff system. Some scheduling methods are proposed and an optimization basis is established considering areas, insulation conditions, heating set temperature, minimum heating maintaining period of thermal storage, maximum size of tank, etc.

This study is concerned about the optimal design of the base in a vibrating screen. Vibrating screen is widely used for grading and screening materials in the fields such as coal-selecting, mining-selecting, building materials, electrical power and chemical industry, etc. It is composed of base, frame, vibrator, screen, spring, trough, clamp and etc. Especially, base in vibrating screen are stressed by high, mostly shock-type loads. Nevertheless, design of base is dependent on experience, and it will cause reliability reduction and cost increase. The base is composed by the lower plate, the middle plate and the upper plate. This research purpose is to propose and verify a method to achieve higher product quality, lower costs, and far less physical testing. In this study, design parameters used for optimization are the lower plate thickness(7mm, 9mm, 11mm), the middle plate thickness(4mm, 4.5mm, 5mm) and the upper plate thickness(7mm, 9mm, 11mm) in the base. The result showed that base weight reduced to maximum 19.1% when compared with the current vibrating screen.

The purpose of this paper was to provide the co-relation lapping conditions of a spectacle metal components. The main elements of lapping conditions were composed of rotation velocity, lapping time, graphite kinds, product quantity and faulty product ratio those were co-related and influenced at each other. The optimal working conditions of lapping were controled the each lapping conditions, mutual relations and reciprocal actions. It was studied the optimal lapping conditions those graphite kinds-rotation velocity-faulty product ratio, rotation velocity-lapping time, rotation velocity-product quantity. Based on these results, the optimal conditions were that the level of graphite was midiμm and rotation velocity was 40∼(60rpm.

CNG 지게차용 시스템 개발

A gas forklift is often fueled by LPG or gasoline that emit toxic exhaust emissions, smoke, fumes and odors. These emissions become quite serious when forklifts are operated in confined areas. It is bad for the forklift operators as well as other workers who are inhaling the fumes. With cleaner burning natural gas, forklift operators and fellow workers are exposed to considerably less emissions. This study aims to develop the fuel system for the CNG-converted forklifts which is composed of hardwares and control algorithm for LPG forklift engine. The engine torque, power and emission in LPG fuel mode are measured to evaluate the difference of CNG engine performance. Based on the results, it is transparent that CNG-converted forklift is an very effective way to reduce the amount of CO, NMHC and NOX in the exhaust gas, which proves the developed control system is effective for CNG forklift engine.

In this paper, patent trend on the rapid prototyping technologies is analyzed. The results show that USA has the most patents, the largest citations, and the highest CPP(Citations Per Patent) at the rapid prototyping field, and that 3D SYSTEM in USA has the most patent filings among the whole world company. and STRATASYS in USA is ranked with the highest CPP representing a technology impact in that field. It is shown that molding or bonding technology of plastic is occupied 31% by International Patent Classification Index(IPC).

This paper is the product development of environment and safety. In growing society, the bicycle is need to have a common goals for consumers convenience and theft prevention. The bicycle is movable means. But as times passed, that bicycle is strongly recommended to replace other vehicles because that is not produced to air pollution and energy(gas, diesel etc) insufficiency. As workers using a bicycle are increased, road for only bicycle is made by additionary. The bicycles happens to several moving accidents such as car accidents because of signal mismatch between bicycle users. However, using the development products of this paper, many accident problems for bicycle can be solved. As increasing of bicycles numbers, the high cost bicycles are too increased. So, the more theft of bicycle is also happened. The developed products(turn signal system and theft prevention system) through this study kept your bicycles from more convenience and more safe.
