슈라우드 디퓨져의 효과적인 유동을 위한 후단 형상의 연구

The diffuser is effective in closed systems, however, its effect is weaken in open or free flow situations. This can be solved by modifying the rear-end of the diffuser in a manner that enables the formation of strong vortex. By doing that, a large portion of fluid's energy is converted to vortex's dynamic energy, which results in the deduction of static component, or in other words, the decrease of pressure. This study involved the design of rear-end part for efficient hydrodynamic performance of shroud diffusers, and demonstrated with numerical simulation by computational fluid dynamics (CFD). This study focuses on the use of brim end for the shroud where the effect of brim's length and attaching angle are analyzed.

The object of this container is to store uranium precipitated in Mo-99 production process for long term. It will be used in the Gijang reactor. Uranium precipitates is stored in a container such as a form of filter cake. This container will be stored in the underground concrete storage for about 50 years when considering a storage facility life and safety. It is required high degree of structure integrity when considering decay heat from radioactive precipitated, external impact and etc, because it has to store radioactive materials for long term. In this study, thermal, structural and impact analysis about a container inserted 6 canisters was carried out. In the case of this thermal analysis, the object is to investigate the effect decay heat of uranium precipitate on the structure integrity of a container. The structural analysis was carried out to evaluate a structure integrity of the bottommost portion container among the 9 loaded containers. Finally, the impact analysis was carried out to evaluate the structure integrity of a container when that is dropped from maximum height of 5m during transport. As a result of this study, the structural integrity of this container is satisfactory about thermal, structural and impact.

필링머신용 SUS 소재의 열전도 해석 연구

SUS bars such as 304, 316 series have been widely used to manufacture the adapters and fittings, which include many hexagonal bolts and nuts. The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of heat conduction of SUS bar according to rotation of cutting tool. Temperature distribution in SUS bar can be achieved by using numerical analysis of heat conduction, thus it may be of help to the optimal operation of peeling machine. As the results, as the rotation of cutting tool is increased, both maximum cutting temperature and depth of heat conduction are decreased. Moreover as the angle of SUS bar is increased, it shows that maximum cutting temperature is decreased, on the other hand, depth of heat conduction is increased.

각도별 중앙 크랙과 구멍들을 가진 고장력 강판의 피로에 대한 연구

The fracture of mechanical structure is caused by internal cracks in the material. Particularly, the fracture can also be seen to happen under the stress that is lower than yield strength in case of high strength steel because of the crack happening from the defect inside the material. In this study, high strength steel with four holes near the center crack were designed by angle and fatigue experiments, and the simulation analyses to verify the experimental results were carried out. As the results of this study, the crack growth rates are shown to be 0.000485, 0.000434 and 0.000422 respectively at the inclined angles of center crack as 22.5°, 45° and 67.5°. The maximum deformation energies become 0.0848mJ, 0.0603mJ and 0.0582mJ respectively at the inclined angles of center crack as 22.5°, 45° and 67.5°. It is thought that this study result can be utilized as the basic data at the study on the material existing with the defects of crack and hole.

R-404A 냉매를 사용하는 냉동 스토커 해석

Improvement of living and life style led to increased sales of frozen milk products, such as ice creams or ice bars. These frozen milk products are commonly stored in a small refrigeration stocker. R-502, which has long been used as the refrigerant of a stocker, is being replaced with R-404A due to the ozone layer depletion issue. In this study, thermal analysis was conducted for the stocker, and the results are compared with experimental data. For the compressor analysis, performance curves were used. Evaporator or condenser was discretized into small volumes, and energy balance was applied. Capillary tube was also discretized into small volumes, and energy and momentum balance were applied. Comparison with the test data of the stocker having 500 liter internal volume revealed that the condensation or evaporation temperature was predicted well except for the initial start-up period. Slightly lower prediction (maximum 4oC) was obtained for the stoker room temperature at the initial operation period. The effect of radiation heat transfer for prediction of the stocker room temperature was assessed.

In product development, different divisions and businesses often have heterogeneous CAD/CAE systems and methods for expressing product data, and addressing this heterogeneity creates additional costs and causes longer development periods. To ensure successful collaboration in the design process, it is therefore imperative that different CAD, CAE, and other related systems be managed in an organic and integrated manner from the initial stages of product development. Therefore, this study suggests an integrated CAD/CAE system including optimal design in a more effective and integrated manner but also to support interfacing and the collective use of design and analysis tools. To validate the proposed method, a stiffened plate example is taken as an example. It is found that the proposed method could overcome the bottleneck of CAD and CAE such as transferability of data, though CATIA and ANSYS are used at the moment.

고무 와셔를 이용한 충격 절연 특성 비교

The object of this study is to compare the shock isolation characteristics of the commercially available rubber washers due to the difference in a tightening torque and hardness. Drop impact test using a steel ball which can simulate the pyroshock acceleration was devised. The test results show that silicon had the highest shock isolation performances followed by urethane, nitrile showed the least performances. In addition, the test results show that the smaller a tightening torque and hardness, the shock isolation characteristics are improved. And this study propose an analysis method using the shock transmissibility function in order to minimize some uncertainty of the impact excitation in the shock response spectrum analysis.

Warpage of injection molded product is caused by non-uniform shrinkage and residual stress. A method of removing uneven molding shrinkage and residual stress is to remove the defective factor to Uniform cooling of products. Warpages for part designs have been investigated in this study according to the injection molding conditions for amorphous ABS and crystalline PP by the rapid cooling and heating system. Experimental results showed that the crystalline resin was more warped than amorphous resin, Warpages have been observed in the regions of the part, near gate region and flow direction region.

노후 가솔린 자동차의 점화2차 파형, 배기가스와 연비와의 관련성 연구

The test was done on cars travelling at the speeds of 20km/h, 60km/h and 100km/h using the performance testing mode for chassis dynamometer. In this test, the secondary ignition waveform, exhaust emissions and fuel consumption were measured in case of faulty MAP sensor, faulty oxygen sensor and spark plugs. The following results from the related analysis of secondary waveform, emission and fuel consumption measurements were obtained : 1) The fuel consumption was higher in the order of oxygen sensor trouble, MAP trouble, spark plug trouble, before maintenance and after maintenance. Maximum fuel economy is 9.3km/L, the minimum fuel economy is 3.2km/L, the difference between max. and min. is 65.5%. 2) If you compare the oxygen sensor trouble with after maintenance, the CO has improved an average of 98%, fuel economy average of 60%. And the HC has improved an average of 87%, fuel economy average of 60%. The fuel consumption and exhaust gas was bad in the order of oxygen sensor trouble, MAP trouble and S/P trouble.

Three-dimensional motion analysis systems and force plates are used for gait phase detection and ground reaction force(GRF) or ground reaction moment(GRM) data collection. But force plates as measurement systems are restricted to laboratory environments and have limitations for abnormal walking with foot dragging. Therefore the methods were proposed to compute the GRM from the kinematic data of three-dimensional motion analysis systems. Gait phase detection with kinematic data using foot velocity algorithm(FVA) was performed. The validity of gait phase detection was obtained comparing with the results of force plates. A gait model with 7 segments was composed to compute GRM. The results of gait model with kinematic data were compared with those of force plates. The result of the vertical direction is similar. But anterior-posterior direction and lateral direction show similar tendency with some gaps.

This paper is on developing the waveform analysis method in driving control of solenoid injector of CRDI diesel engine. The experimental methods using Pico oscilloscope and scan tool is employed to measure current and voltage waveform of solenoid injector. The solenoid injector are used 1 normal and 2 abnormal injectors. The experiment is carried out during no-load condition. The magnitude of pressure drop is largest main duration, pre and pilot duration in the order named in case of normal injector, whereas was largest pilot duration, pre and main duration in the order named in case of abnormal injectors.

The aim of this paper is to clarify the structural stability of Refracted Telescopic Boom in 30m Class with the Property of Working Range Insulation. The boom of insulation special vehicle consists of a 3-stage telescopic boom, 2-stage refracting boom, insulation boom and effector. The catia solid geometry of the boom was used to generate both a basic ADAMS model and the finite element meshes for the flexible components. The flexible bodies were generated by using the finite element program of ANSYS and then imported into the ADAMS model and their flexibility accounted to the dynamic analysis of boom. Embedding finite element representations within the ADAMS model, offers the advantage being able to perform the durability analysis and the resulting damage. Through this approach, the crack locations(hot spots) in a prototype can be predicted successfully, thereby validating the analysis procedure.

Marine structures developed for marine industry and resource manifests different fluid characteristics. As such, the changes in the location, shape and size of these structures affect the fluid flow. Specifically, this wake flow caused by the structures result in environmental damage and topographical change. but on the other hand, protects harbor facility and environment. This study was conducted by changing the position of vertical plate in horizontal and vertical direction and experimented the variation of wake flow by PIV. This experiment confirmed the wake flow reduction by the changes of gab in horizontal and vertical direction. Particularly, the experiment showed that changes of gab in horizontal and vertical direction resulted in an increased u-velocity fields in the back of structure for larger horizontal gab.

Lithium ion batteries have been extensively used in portable electronic devices due to their high energy density and long cycle life. Recently, lithium ion batteries are required to run conditions that drive up to 1.5C, 2.0C, or higher in order to produce quick charge secondary cells, but the life degradation and safety concerns and rising. In other words, as the number of repetitions of the charge and discharge increases, the binding between the active materials and the ionic conductors becomes loose, and the contact resistance between the particles increases, and due to the increased resistance of the electrode, the battery performance is degraded, and during the life cycle degradation of cathode and anode materials occurs, and it is directly linked to life and safety issues. This study aims to improve the quick charge performance by improving the lithium ion material.

There is a considerable amount of research on metal material product worker’s hearing loss caused by noise that comes from manufacturing process. A further investigation that characterizes the sound that comes from manufacturing process of metal material products. however. To do this, a noise management plan is needed. It should include a generated sound process from the main sources of disturbance at manufacturing process areas. And a soundproof measurement will identify the amount of noise reduction needed for a hearing-safe working environment. Finally, researchers in this study measured tests on the noise and the vibration process, and the noise caused by operations allowed for an investigation on the suitability of certain environmental conditions. Noise-related programs can be used to predict the noise distribution of the noise level characteristic. This can help identify and reduce the presence of sound interference through sound proofing measures.

The object of this study is to improve the straightness in tubular shaft production. Die bearings of 1, 2 and 3 were inserted onto the lower die, respectively. In this study, the tubular shafts at the stage 5 were modelled as the standard and error cases. The error case assumes the production error of raw material. The coefficient of friction was set to the Oil_Cold conditions as referring to the analysis library. In the results, the effective stress was observed homogeneously on the distribution at yoke top in standard case. However, the effective stress was observed on the distribution at long section of yoke in case of the raw material with error. The metal flow line was stretched straight in standard case. On the other hand, the metal flow line was bent in all of error cases. The biggest displacement occurred when only one die bearing was applied. The smallest displacement occurred when two die bearings were applied in lower die.

This study aims at providing a basic data for the development of high energy efficient environment system in the cage (poultry buildings) and cold potable water supply to reduce the summer heat stress. For this study, the cage area size was 273m 2 and the air-to-water heat pump capacity was 20RT for heating and cooling. As the result of this study, the temperature of the drinking water supplied by heat pump was maintained at the set temperature of 15℃. However, the water temperature of control was 23~28 ℃ due to the effect of outside temperature. The average internal cage temperature was 25.3 ℃ in the test group and 28.1 ℃ in the control group, which was 2.8 ℃ higher than that of the control group. The relative humidity was 76.2% in the test group and 75.0% in the control group. The broiler drank 23.2 L / day in the test group and 21.5 L / day in the control group. Daily feed intake was 937 g and and 725 g in the cold water and control water respectively. The feed intake of 212 g was higher than that of cold water. The feeding rates were 1.8 and 1.9. Body weights were 1,523 g and 1,164 g in the cold water and control water respectively. The weight gain was 359 g in the test group fed with cold water and 392 g in the control group. When compared with the control group, the mortality rate was reduced by 84% in the cold water feeding test. It is necessary that future research will continue to reduce the incidence of such livestock accidents.’.

인덴팅 성형에서 제품의 측벽 두께에 대한 쿠션 패드의 영향에 관한 연구

This study was researched to improve the quality and to reduce the defects of the Indenting shape of bottom chassis, which is one of the B.L.U (Back Light Unit) parts. Experiment result is the formation of the Indenting shape must be carried out by two forming processes. It was found that the forming one-step shape is an important factor in determining whether or not the two-step shape will succeed. When the shape of the forming pad is set to a convex shape such as a triangle, there is a good flow of material at the bottom. As a result, the thickness of the sidewall of the product becomes thick and the sidewall is formed vertically. In this respect, it was considered that the Indenting shape was excellent.

A-IMS 튜블러 샤프트의 스플라인 가공 개선에 관한 연구

The objective of this study is to solve the problem that was occurred during the spline processing in A-IMS tubular shaft. The upper dies were modelled conventional case and modified case. The tubular shafts were modelled as standard case and error case. The error case assumed production error of raw material. The material of tubular shaft was set to SCM 420H as refer to the analysis library. The simulation results were analyzed and compared in terms of metal flow, effective stress, and effective strain characteristics. The crushed and buckling problems were observed at the upper side of tubular shaft body when conventional upper die was applied. However, the crushed and buckling problems were solved when modified upper die was applied.

Many studies for personal mobility are increasing at the latest. One part of personal mobility study is electric scooter. Driving elements of electric scooter are battery and motor, patterns of vehicle being proposed multiply by manufacturer. The old and the infirm's population in domestic and abroad increases day by day. Thus, the personal vehicle for them that can be managed easily is needed for them. Following the trend “personal mobility”, this study propose electric-drive scooter which is portable and compact. Prototypes of proposed models are manufactured to commercialize it. As results, adopt of foldable type at electric scooter can be decreased size. Also 4-wheel scooter is more stable than 3-wheel sooter.

자전거 프레임 비틀림 강성 및 바텀브라켓 강성의 측정과 분석

The stiffness of a bicycle frame is a major factor of a bicycle performance related to safety, stability, and weight. In this study, the torsional and bottom bracket stiffness of a bicycle frame were experimentally investigated. The torsional and bottom bracket stiffness for 63 bicycle frames were evaluated and analyzed by measuring the displacement of frames. The torsional stiffness is related with turning performance and the bottom bracket stiffness is related with power transmission. The experimental results show that the average stiffness varies up to 20 % according to the frame materials and types. The torsional stiffness has a strong corelation with the bottom bracket stiffness even though they have different effects on a bicycle frame. It seems that the experimental results can be applied to the quality criteria of racing bicycles and also design standard of a bicycle frame.

The ribs of the injection molded article are a necessary shape in order to maintain the rigidity without increasing the material cost. The ribs on the outside of the molded article in the form of a housing are located on the side of the cavity inside in the mold. This paper proposes slotting by machining side-ribs. The slotting was performed through CNC control along the edge profile of the rib width. The machining time and the roughness of the machined surface were compared to verify the machining efficiency and the practicality of the machining method as a side-rib machining method.
