Handling Semantic Ambiguity for Metadata Generation

The following research questions are examined in this paper. What hinders quality metadata generation and metadata interoperability? What kind of semantic representation technique can be utilized in order to enhance metadata quality and semantic interoperability? This paper suggests a way of handling semantic ambiguity for metadata generation. The conceptual graph is utilized to disambiguate semantic ambiguities caused by isolation of a metadata element and its corresponding definition from the relevant context. The mechanism introduced in this paper has the potential to alleviate issues dealing with inconsistent metadata application and interoperability across digital collections.

The spread of IoT (Internet of Things) technology that connects objects based on wired / wireless networks is accelerating, and IoT-based smart home technology that constitutes a super connected network connecting sensors and home appliances existing inside and outside the home is getting popular. In addition, demand for alternative energy technologies such as photovoltaic power generation is rapidly increasing due to rapid increase of consumption of energy resources. Recently, small solar power systems for general households as well as large solar power systems for installation in large buildings are being introduced, but they are effectively implemented due to limitations of small solar panels and lack of power management technology. In this paper, we have studied smart home structure and IoT / IoL device discovery algorithm for energy harvesting system based on photovoltaic power generation, It is possible to construct an efficient smart home system for device control.

3 Dimensional Augmented Reality Flight for Drones

Drones are controlled by the remote pilot from the ground stations using the radio control or autonomously following the pre-programmed flight plans. In this paper, we develop a method and an optimal path search system for providing 3D augmented reality flight (ARF) images for safe and efficient flight control of drones. The developed system consisted of the drone, the ground station and user terminals, and the optimal path search server. We use the Dijkstra algorithm to find the optimal path considering the drone information, flight information, environmental information, and flight mission. We generate a 3D augmented reality flight (ARF) image overlaid with the path information as well as the drone information and the flight information on the flight image received from the drone. The ARF image for adjusting the drone is generated by overlaying route information, drone information, flight information, and the like on the image captured by the drone.

This study investigated the academic stress and the immersion in learning in relation to AR and VR assisted instructions compared to traditional approaches. To that end, 78 8th graders in T and S city in Gangwondo were assigned to experimental and control groups. The experimental group received the VR and AR lessons. The academic stress was measured with the pre- and post-test scores, while the immersion in learning was measured with the post-test scores. In brief, AR and VR assisted lessons made statistically significant differences in the academic stress and immersion in learning in comparison to the traditional approaches.

This paper is about wine quality classification with multilayer perceptron using the deep neural network. Wine complexity is an issue when predicting the quality. And the deep neural network is considered when using complex dataset. Wine Producers always aim high to get the highest possible quality. They are working on how to achieve the best results with minimum cost and efforts. Deep learning is the possible solution for them. It can help them to understand the pattern and predictions. Although there have been past researchers, which shows how artificial neural network or data mining can be used with different techniques, in this paper, rather not focusing on various techniques, we evaluate how a deep learning model predicts for the quality using two different activation functions. It will help wine producers to decide, how to lead their business with deep learning. Prediction performance could change tremendously with different models and techniques used. There are many factors, which, impact the quality of the wine. Therefore, it is a good idea to use best features for prediction. However, it could also be a good idea to test this dataset without separating these features. It means we use all features so that the system can consider all the feature. In the experiment, due to the limited data set and limited features provided, it was not possible for a system to choose the effective features.

As the use of open source databases grows, so does need to evaluate, the performance of search queries for these databases. This paper compares the search query performance of SQL-based open source databases with commercial databases through experiments. The targets are MySql, MariaDB, and MS-SQL Server. In this study, the execution time of various types of search queries are measured. Also, search query performance was experimented according to change of index and number of tuples. Experimental results show that SQL-based open source databases have the potential to replace commercial databases when indexes are used and the number of tuples is not very large.

The diffusivity vibration will be to evaluate at the smooth ability of the diffusivity-vibration morph with constructed-point by the wideness realization level on the FSRL that is displayed the fulgurate-space morph by the realization level system. Diffusivity realization system will be possible to control of a morph by the special signal and to use a wideness data of diffusivity vibration level.

Optical Filter Design for Fluorescence Technique Based Phycocyanin Measurement Sensor Used In Water Treatment Plants

Recently the water management department advised the water treatment industry to focus on deploy the chemical free and the environmentally responsible process to adopt on water treatment plants in every country. In this objective, water treatment process started using ultrasonic based phycocyanin extraction with fluorescence measurement techniques to detect the change in the yield of phycocyanin. This paper propose the design of optical filter model for fluorescence technique based immersive optical phycocyanin measurement sensor design. The proposed design uses the multi-wavelength sensor module for irradiating part, and this plays a role of removing a wavelength band other than 590 ~ 620 nm. The preliminary study on immersed phycocyanin sensor, the fluorescence value of picocyanin according to the ultrasonic intensity, treatment time and number of cells was measured using JM phycocyanin module to emulate the proposed design, and were compared performance of the proposed sensor emulation. In this design , the phycocyanin fluorescence value increased about 2.1 ~ 4.7 times as the ultrasonic treatment time increased as compared with JM phycocyanin module, and the phycocyanin fluorescence value within the analysis range was obtained by ultrasonic treatment within one minute.

Health care has attracted a lot of attention, recently due to an increase in life expectancy and interest in health. Various biometric data of the user are collected by using the air pressure sensor, gyro sensor, acceleration sensor, and heart rate sensor to perform the Smart Health Care Activity Tracker function. Basically, smartphone application is made and tested for biometric data collection, but the Arduino platform and bio-signal measurement sensor are used to confirm the accuracy of the measured value of the smartphone. Use the Google Maps API to set user goals and provide guidance on the location of the user and the points the user wants. Also, the basic configuration of the main UI is composed of the screen of the camera, and it is possible for the user to confirm the forward while using the application, so that accident prevention is possible.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of internet-use Anatomy class, as one of the Flipped learning method, on critical thinking disposition. The class for this study was conducted from March 1 to April 10, 2018. The study involved a total of 180 people in the first year of a University located in C province. Data collection was carried out before and after the Flipped learning method application. Frequency analysis, Paired t-test, Pearson correlation, and Regression analysis were used for the analysis. According to the analysis, 28.3% of men and 71.1% of women and before applying the program analysis of correlation between Flipped learning perception and critical thinking disposition showed a significant correlation between confidence(sub-component of critical thinking) only (p<.005). Comparing the scores of critical thinking before and after the program, it was found that Truth seeking (p<.001), Open-mindness (p<.005), Confidence (p<.001), Systematicity (p<.005), Analyticity (p<.001), and Inquisitiveness (p<.001) scores had increased significantly except Maturity (p>.005). And the regression analysis of Flipped learning method applying influence on critical thinking disposition were significantly affected (p<.001). Based on the results of this study, it was possible to determine that Flipped learning method had a positive effect on critical thinking disposition.

A New LEACH Algorithm for the Data Aggregation to Improve the Energy Efficiency in WSN

In recent years, the utilization of the WSN have been rapid. Energy consumption of these networks must be as low as possible. LEACH algorithm is one of the clustering technique. We modify the traditional LEACH algorithm in such way that it will be capable to self-organize large number of nodes and for saving communication resources such as processing time and initiation time. The efficiency of the network highly depends on how the algorithm divides cluster area and selects cluster head. The proposed algorithm can be evaluated through the extensive simulation the result we obtained shows that the life time of a network is increased when energy load is distributed equally among the sensor.

Recently, due to decrease hardware prices and the development of technology, analog signage has been changing to digital signage for providing content such as advertisements, videos. Furthermore, in order to provide advertisements and contents to users more effectively, technical researches are being conducted in various industries. In addition, including digital signage that uses displays, it can be seen that it provides advertisements and contents using diverse devices such as LED signage, smart pads, and smart phones. However, most digital signage is installed in one place to provide contents and provides interactivity through simple events such as manual content provision or touch. So, in this paper, we suggest a new object detection algorithm based on an adjacent frames based image correction algorithm for interactive building signage.

According to the Korea Robotics Industry Association, the number of robots companies, sales and production are steadily increasing until 2016, and the global robot market outlook is expected to continue to increase until 2025. We need to develop more attention to robots that can make life easier for us and can replace human tasks that we cannot do. It is predicted that robots will be more developed in the future with the above statistics, and future robots will be more activated by robots that can depend on each other, fix each other, and adapt to the changing environment without humans. Therefore, the shape of the robots in the future will be developed as a group robot(swarmbot) that cooperate with each other while the robot works. These robots have been studied for a longtime, but there are only two community robots that are applied in real life, only two of which are jailbreaking robots made in KAIST and KIVA robots made in Amazon company. In the future, as these robots develop more and more, and environment where robots can live without human intervention is created, so that a plurality of robots can collaborate and do individual work.

The purpose of this study was to compare the balance ability at different foot positions using K A T 2000 (Berg, Inc, vista, CA.1994). Thirty (male 15, female 15) normal subjects participated in this study. All subjects were tested at a one leg position or a two leg position that were toe-in 25˚, toe-out 25˚, and 45˚. The starting position was where the subject crossed their arms across the chest and flexed knees slightily. The results of each test were displayed on a screen in a score format, which indicated balance index. These collected data were analyzed by using one way ANOVA, and t-test. The results of this study were as follows: When changing the angle of the foot in the one-foot and two-foot standing positions, there was no statistically significant difference, but the balance performance with the foot rotated by 25˚ was better than that with the foot rotated by 45˚. When changing the direction of the foot in the one-foot and two-foot standing positions, there was no statistically significant difference, but the balance performance with the foot rotated laterally was better - except for the case when the foot was medially rotated by 25˚ in the right-foot static standing position. When the feet were medially rotated by 25˚ in the two-foot static standing position, and were medially rotated by 25˚ and 45˚ in the one-foot static standing position, the balance performance of females was better than that of males. In this study, it was found that the balance performance of the subjects changed when the position of the foot was shifted on an unstable base of support. However, there was little correlation between balance performance and the height, weight and foot length of the subjects. It is necessary to conduct a follow-up study targeting various age groups and those with various diseases using an unstable platform or applying different physical or visual conditions, such as the length of the legs. Physical therapists need to consider the position of the foot in clinical settings for a better balance training or assessment.
