An Approach for Scheduling Problem in Port Container Terminals : Moving and Stacking

In this study, we consider the transportation problem in port container terminals. It aims to determine positions in yards to place the containers at the adequate times. The containers on ship must be unloaded one by one from top to bottom, and placed in the main yard in order to reduce additional cost required for unnecessary unloading when getting out by customer with given timetable. The cost for transportation at container terminals could be reduced by a new approach in scheduling: move the containers from ship and stack them onto main yard that minimizes cost of yard crane operation when unloading for customer.

The use of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) is promising to bring better solutions for managing and handling the city traffic. This system combines many fields in advanced technology such as Global Positioning System (GPS), Geographic Information System (GIS) and so on. The basement of applications in ITS is the effective collections and data integration tools. The purpose of our research is to propose solutions which involve the use of GPS time series data collected from GPS devices in order to improve the quality of output traffic data. In this study, GPS data is collected from devices attached to vehicles travelling on routes in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). Then, GPS data is stored in database system to serve in many transportation applications. The proposed method combines the data usage level and data coverage to improve the quality of traffic data.

Video Content owners seek to squeeze the maximum amount of revenue from their assets via distribution into more territories. Digital Cinema Package(DCP), trusted solution to distribute protected content to theaters, caters to relatively small user base, which limits revenue. With the growth of the Internet & other digital media, the economics of media content has changed dramatically. Security remains main concern to deliver content to millions of consumers using intelligent digital display devices like Tablets, Smartphones, Smart TVs, Desktop & Laptop. By making the video content available to this segment securely, content owners will benefit from increased revenue. Through this paper we propose Open Source HomeDCP model to distribute the content to home users for offline viewing. We propose to include other open source CODEC than JPEG2000/MPEG2, which are specifically designed for theatrical performance. Final image size will be further reduced considering the display device resolution where video will be finally played. Key Delivery Message(KDM) system to be altered to suit new devices. This will be a big boost to Content Economy as content owners would be able to distribute the content securely to the wider audience & ensure more revenue.

A Study on Depth Information Acquisition Improved by Gradual Pixel Bundling Method at TOF Image Sensor

The depth information of an image is used in a variety of applications including 2D/3D conversion, multi-view extraction, modeling, depth keying, etc. There are various methods to acquire depth information, such as the method to use a stereo camera, the method to use the depth camera of flight time (TOF) method, the method to use 3D modeling software, the method to use 3D scanner and the method to use a structured light just like Microsoft's Kinect. In particular, the depth camera of TOF method measures the distance using infrared light, whereas TOF sensor depends on the sensitivity of optical light of an image sensor (CCD/CMOS). Thus, it is mandatory for the existing image sensors to get an infrared light image by bundling several pixels; these requirements generate a phenomenon to reduce the resolution of an image. This thesis proposed a measure to acquire a high-resolution image through gradual area movement while acquiring a low-resolution image through pixel bundling method. From this measure, one can obtain an effect of acquiring image information in which illumination intensity (lux) and resolution were improved without increasing the performance of an image sensor since the image resolution is not improved as resolving a low-illumination intensity (lux) in accordance with the gradual pixel bundling algorithm.

Recently, the study of smart phone user habits has become a highly focused topic due to the rapid growth of the smart phone market. Indeed, sequential pattern analysis methods were efficiently used for web-based user habit mining long time ago. However, by means of simulations, it has been observed that these methods might fail for smart phone-based user habit mining. In this paper, we propose a novel approach that leads to a considerably increased performance of the traditional sequential pattern analysis methods by reasonably cutting off each chronological sequence of user logs on a device into shorter ones, which represent the sequential user activities in various periods of a day.

Energy constraints of wireless sensor networks are an important challenge. Data Transmission requires energy. Distance between origin and destination has an important role in energy consumption. In addition, the location of base station has a large impact on energy consumption and a specific method not proposed for it. In addition, a obtain model for location of base station proposed. Also a model for distributed clustering is presented by cluster heads. Eventually, a combination of discussed ideas is proposed to improve the energy consumption. The proposed ideas have been implemented over the LEACH-C protocol. Evaluation results show that the proposed methods have a better performance in energy consumption and lifetime of the network in comparison with similar methods.

The most important factor within the wireless sensor network is to have effective network usage and increase the lifetime of the individual nodes in order to operate the wireless network more efficiently. Therefore, many routing protocols have been developed. The LEACH protocol presented by Wendi Hein Zelman, especially well known as a simple and efficient clustering based routing protocol. However, because LEACH protocol in an irregular network is the total data throughput efficiency dropped, the stability of the cluster is declined. Therefore, to increase the stability of the cluster head, in this paper, it proposes a stochastic cluster head selection method for improving the LEACH protocol. To this end, it proposes a SH-LEACH (Stochastic Cluster Head Selection Method-LEACH) that it is combined to the HEED and LEACH protocol and the proposed algorithm is verified through the simulation.

This paper is proposed a wavelet-based MCDT(Mask Coefficient Differential and Threshold) method of image registration of Multi-images contaminated with visible image and infrared image. The method for ensure reliability of the image registration is to the increase statistical corelation as getting the common feature points between two images. The method of threshold the wavelet coefficients using derivatives of the wavelet coefficients of the detail subbands was proposed to effectively registration images with distortion. And it can define that the edge map. Particularly, in order to increase statistical corelation the method of the normalized mutual information. as similarity measure common feature between two images was selected. The proposed method is totally verified by comparing with the several other multi-image and the proposed image registration.

Generally, the current commercial cloud system is hosted by the centralization large datacenter. However, the other clouding forms existed and one of them is the P2P cloud. The P2P Cloud is a distributed systems, is freedom to join and leave and is possible to provide the IaaS. Commonly, P2P Cloud System is based on Pure-P2P System. Since a number of connection paths exist, it has a high reliability and easily scalability of the network. However, there are disadvantages of the slow rate of route because of looking up the all peers in order to search for the peer. In this paper, it proposes the P2P cloud system based on super-peer P2P. Super-peer P2P system has fast routing time, because of searching for cluster unit and it also can has high reliability and high scalability. We designs the super Peer cloud service and proposes the system model and Resource Allocation Algorithm for IaaS in Super peer P2P environment.

As WSN is energy constraint so energy efficiency of nodes is important. Because avoiding long distance communication, clustering operating in rounds is an efficient algorithm for prolonging the lifetime of WSN and its performance depends on duration of a round. A short round time leads to frequent re-clustering while a long round time increases energy consume of cluster heads more. So existing clustering schemes determine proper round time, based on the parameters of initial WSN. But it is not appropriate to apply the round time according to initial value throughout the whole network time because WSN is very dynamic networks nodes can be added or vanished. In this paper we propose a new algorithm which calculates the round time relying on the alive node number to adapt the dynamic WSN. Simulation results validate the proposed algorithm has better performance in terms of energy consumption of nodes and loss rate of data.

The level of change in distant PTC, near PTC, distant NTC, and near NTC was measured divided by before and after viewing 3D images. The 50 examinees were categorized into Low/ Middle/ High groups according to the level of change by test subject. Among all the entries, the exophoria group showed the highest change distribution, and in the distant and near NTC entries showed statistically significant differences in variation.

Wireless Sensor Network consists of several sensor nodes, these nodes loss some of their energy after the process of communication. So an energy efficient approach is required to improve the life of the network. In case of broadcast network, LEACH protocol uses an aggregative approach by creating cluster of nodes. Now the major concern is to built such clusters over WSN in an optimized way. This work presents the improvement over LEACH protocol. Hence we have different work environments where the network is having different capacities. The proposed work shows how the life time of the network will improve when the number of nodes varies within the network.

Recently with the development of IT technology, the medical technology have been developed in various ways. Among them, WBAN can check the state of the patient in real time. However, the data generated by these techniques have a problem that they have heterogeneous properties depending on the type of sensors and devices. In this paper, we proposed a method using meta repository as a way to provide the sensing data of WBAN for the health care system by integrating along the HL7 standard item.

The cloud computing are provided various ways for accessing resources and services through collaboration. In this paper, we present a cloud computing model for collaboration in cloud environment. By introducing a model, it is possible to introduce and develop an application required for the database and business services. SaaS model can be applied overall or partially. In particular, business operations need various software. Since cost reduction and applying immediate service are available, it is possible to realize the business environment and high quality service.

This paper presents the application of the bond valence method to estimate the valence charge distribution in several perovskite systems: La1xPbxMnO3 (x=0.1-0.5), La0.6Sr0. - xTixMnO3 (x=0.0-0.25) and La1xSrxCoO3 (x=0.1-0.5); the reviewing of their crystal structures is also incorporated. The results showed the failure of the elastic bonding mechanism in all studied systems and revealed the general deficit of the valence charge in their unit cells. This valence deficit was not associated with the structural defects and was not equally localized in all coordination spheres. As the content of substitution increased, the charge deficit declined systematically from balanced level, signifying the transfer of valence charge from the O6 to O12 spheres. This transfer depended on the valence deviation of spheres and the average reached near 2 electron per unit cell. The possible impact of the limitted accuracy of the available structural data on the bond valence results has also been considered.
