Comparison of Fine-Tuned Convolutional Neural Networks for Clipart Style Classification

Clipart is artificial visual contents that are created using various tools such as Illustrator to highlight some information. Here, the style of the clipart plays a critical role in determining how it looks. However, previous studies on clipart are focused only on the object recognition [16], segmentation, and retrieval of clipart images using hand-craft image features. Recently, some clipart classification researches based on the style similarity using CNN have been proposed, however, they have used different CNN-models and experimented with different benchmark dataset so that it is very hard to compare their performances. This paper presents an experimental analysis of the clipart classification based on the style similarity with two well-known CNN-models (Inception Resnet V2 [13] and VGG-16 [14] and transfers learning with the same benchmark dataset (Microsoft Style Dataset 3.6K). From this experiment, we find out that the accuracy of Inception Resnet V2 is better than VGG for clipart style classification because of its deep nature and convolution map with various sizes in parallel. We also find out that the end-to-end training can improve the accuracy more than 20% in both CNN models.

Movement technique is comprised of the movement status of the circulation differentiation rate (CDR) and rotation differentiation rate (RDR) on the shiver movement form. In this paper, an contemplate the direction for Usable Security in IT security and User Experience. To evaluate how the user interface is convenient to use, we examine the components such as the property, learnable property, memory simplicity, faults and satisfaction level. By considering for the security, we should bring positive effects on the user experience. By emphasizing usability and security at the same time, we should increase the satisfaction level of the user experience and then produce the valuable experience through participation, use and observation. The positive user experience is the important task for the software engineering, business administration and others., and this will result satisfaction of the users, brand trust, and success in the market. On the other hand, for the negative user experience, the users cannot achieve their desired goal and therefore, are unsatisfied due to emotional, rational and economic inconvenience. Due to this, we should try to maintain a certain level of usability and security of the system in IT security and User Experience.

In this paper, we propose an automatic segmentation method of left and right heart in computed tomography angiography (CTA) using separating energy function. First, we smooth the images by applying anisotropic diffusion filter to remove noise. Then, the volume of interest (VOI) is detected by using k-means clustering. Finally, we extract the left and right heart with separating energy function which we proposed to split the heart. We tested our method in ten CT images and they were obtained from a different patient. For the evaluation of the computational performance of the proposed method, we measured the total processing time. The average of total processing time, from first step to third step, was 14.39±1.17 s. We expect for our method to be used in cardiac diagnosis for cardiologist.

Market of smart toys is showing rapid growth globally. Recently, new types of toys which can be synced with smart phones, so called smart toys, are being released continuously. As a result, products from RC cars with camera attached that can be driven and monitored using a connected smart phone to toys that would call kid's name once it has been entered through a mobile app. It has been confirmed that there are various way to connect those toys with mobile devices. In this paper, functions of smart toys are classified, and research on different synchronization methods of the toys sold in market as of July, 2017 are explained..

A study of Location based Air Logistics Systems with Light-ID and RFID on Drone System for Air Cargo Warehouse Case

Recently Drone technology is emerging as an alternative new way of distribution systems services. Amazon, Google which are global network chain distribution companies are developing an idea of Drone based delivery service and applied for patent for Drone distribution systems in USA. In this paper, we investigate a way to adopt Drone system to Air Cargo logistics, in particular, drone system based on combination of Light ID and RFID technology in the management procedure in stock warehouse. Also we explain the expected impact of Drone systems to customs declaration process. In this paper, we address the investigated limitations of Drone by the Korean Aviation Act as well as suggest the directions of future research for application of Drone to Air logistics industry with investigated limitations.

The Routing Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks with Random Mobile Nodes

Sensor Networks (WSNs) can be defined as a self-configured and infrastructure- less wireless networks to monitor physical or environmental conditions, such as temperature, sound, vibration, pressure, motion or pollutants and to cooperatively pass their data through the network to a main location or base-station where the data can be observed and analyzed. Typically a wireless sensor network contains hundreds of thousands of sensor nodes. The sensor nodes can communicate among themselves using radio signals. A wireless sensor node is equipped with sensing and computing devices, radio transceivers and power components. The individual nodes in a wireless sensor network (WSN) are inherently resource constrained: they have limited processing speed, storage capacity, communication bandwidth and limited-battery power. At present time, most of the research on WSNs has concentrated on the design of energy- and computationally efficient algorithms and protocols In order to extend the network life-time, in this paper we are looking into a routing protocol, especially LEACH and LEACH-related protocol. LEACH protocol is a representative routing protocol and improves overall network energy efficiency by allowing all nodes to be selected to the cluster head evenly once in a periodic manner. In LEACH, in case of movement of sensor nodes, there is a problem that the data transmission success rate decreases. In order to overcome LEACH’s nodes movements, LEACH-Mobile protocol had proposed. But energy consumption increased because it consumes more energy to recognize which nodes moves and re-transfer data. In this paper we propose the new routing protocol considering nodes’ mobility. In order to simulate the proposed protocol, we make a scenario, nodes’ movements randomly and compared with the LEACH-Mobile protocol.

To understand whether Falling, which is one of the causes of injuries, occurs, various behavior recognition research is proceeding. However, in most research recognize only the fact that Falling has occurred and provide the service. As well as the occurrence of the Falling, the risk varies greatly based on the type of Falling and the situation before and after the Falling. Therefore, when Falling occurs, it is necessary to infer the user's current situation and provide appropriate services. In this paper, we propose to base on Fog Computing and Cloud Computing to design Context-aware System using analysis of behavior data and process sensor data in real-time. This system solved the problem of increase latency and server overload due to large capacity sensor data.

This paper deals with the improvement of cluster head selection method in L-SEP for heterogeneous nodes among hierarchical routing protocols of wireless sensor network. Wireless sensor networks are classified into homogeneous and heterogeneous network. In heterogeneous network, SEP, L-SEP are mainly used because cluster head selection probability is different depending on node type. But, since protocol based on SEP has different cluster head selection probabilities depending on the node type, clusters that transmit data inefficiently can be formed. to improve this, it is necessary to select the cluster head that minimizes the transmission distance of member node and the cluster head. Therefore, we propose a protocol that improve the cluster head selection method.

Cloud computing has evolved into a core computing infrastructure for the internet that encompasses content, as well as communications, applications and commerce. By providing powerful computing and communications capabilities in the palm of the hand everywhere with a variety of smart devices, mobile applications such as virtual reality, sensing and navigation have emerged and radically changed the patterns people live. The data that is generated is getting bigger. Cloud computing, on the other hand, has problems with system load and speed due to the collection, processing and control of remote data. To solve this problem, fog computing has been proposed in which data is collected and processed at an edge. In this paper, we propose a system that dynamically selects a fog server that acts as a cloud in the edge. It serves as a mediator in the cloud, and provides information on the services and systems belonging to the cloud to the mobile device so that the mobile device can act as a fog. When the role of the fog system is complete, we provide it to the cloud to virtualize the fog. The heterogeneous problem of data of mobile nodes can be solved by using mDBaaS (Mobile DataBase as a Service) and we propose a system design method for this.
