A Simulation and Property Analysis according to Electromagnetic Wave Absorber Shape

The property of magnetic field and properties of EMW(Electro Magnetic Wave) absorption with multi-shaped EMW absorber was simulated. As a magnetic field having high density was showed at bottom of EMW absorber, simulation showed that overall EMW was absorbed at the bottom of multi-shaped absorber. The absorption properties of EMW according to thickness of absorber showed that it enhanced about 50-60 percent. Also, EMW absorption properties was checked with surface area of EMW absorber. A cylinder-shaped EMW absorber exhibited good property among multi-shaped EMW absorber based on these result.

As embedded memory technology evolves, the traditional Static Random Access Memory (SRAM) technology has reached the end of development. For deepening the manufacturing process technology, the next generation memory technology is highly required because of the exponentially increasing leakage current of SRAM. Non-volatile memories such as STT-MRAM (Spin Torque Transfer Magnetic Random Access Memory), PCM (Phase Change Memory) are good candidates for replacing SRAM technology in embedded memory systems. They have many advanced characteristics in the perspective of power consumption, leakage power, size (density) and latency. Nonetheless, nonvolatile memories have two major problems that hinder their use it the next-generation memory. First, the lifetime of the nonvolatile memory cell is limited by the number of write operations. Next, the write operation consumes more latency and power than the same size of the read operation.These disadvantages can be solved using the compiler. The disadvantage of non-volatile memory is in write operations. Therefore, when the compiler decides the layout of the data, it is solved by optimizing the write operation to allocate a lot of data to the SRAM. This study provides insights into how these compiler and architectural designs can be developed.

As of 2016, the cremation rates in the capital area are 91.2% in Incheon Metropolitan City, 87.5% in Seoul Special City, and 87.1% in Gyeonggi-do Province, of which Incheon has the highest rate, and cremation of general corpses through the online cremation reservation service of the funeral information system is continuously increasing every year. And as of 2017, the ratio of the cremation for those outside the jurisdiction (residents of other regions) among the users of public cremation establishment in Incheon, is about 32%. As the supply capacity is expected to reach the limit within several years due to the increase in demand for such a cremation facility, I would like to suggest a policy as follows. The expansion of cremation supply capacity by increasing the number of operations in the cremation furnace; The attractions of operating funds through contracts for joint use of the cremation facility with other local governments and investment funds for the expansion of cremation facilities; The plan for controlling the demand in cremation such as an increase in cremation charge for those outside the jurisdiction(residents of other regions), should be considered.
A Study on Automatic Service Creation Method of Cloud-based Mobile Contents

Recently, people can create small content by themselves and it improved into a form that can be promoted. Also, as active small business owners increase, they produce the content for promotion by themselves without external professional help and they utilize it. This paper studies the method to make Mobile Apps, Mobile Web and homepage services available by automatically generating the mobile based mini content. The automated content creation system suggests the method that small business owners and groups can easily communicate with new people by bringing Single Page Application, hybrid mobile web app, N-Screen based content building, private cloud-based PaaS building technology, P2P network based file sharing and multimedia thread technologies together and creating the content.

When producing a business card, there is always a risk for exposing personal information as the information from the business card application is saved in the computer of the printing agency. The information that goes into the business card application file, such as name, mobile phone number, and e-mail address is not encrypted, which makes it easy to access. This study was conducted in order to find a way to automatize the business card application process by encrypting the information entered into the business card application file, simplifying the business card application process, minimizing the workload and by directly linking to the print shop to remove the print file after completing the printing of the business card.
Living Labs based on IT utilization and development of local community

Living Lab is one of open movements regarding social innovation, which mainly utilizes scientific technology to improve local residents’ life value. Even though various attempts have been made, Living Lab projects that deal with actual life-related problems of local communities are not sufficiently being made. This study aims at organizing existing Living Lab studies and to draw political issues in perspective of solving regional problems and developing local communities. Above all, policies should be proceeded in a way that fully understands and reflects local problem since communication with local residents or end-users will be increased. It is required to support certain products or solution development that fits specific local situation based on their resource and demands. In addition, local small businesses or start-up companies should be given opportunities to conduct experiment and revise new technology, product or service on the spot. It would be a useful example to utilize ICT technology and contents such as local cable TV network, for Living Lab. Living Lab can establish itself as an effective reformation process only if it remains to function for the sake of solving issues of local community and residents. Practical undertones would be able to be obtained once this exploratory study turns into empirical case study.

As of 2016, Incheon Metropolitan City's cremation ratio was 91.2%, which is the second highest among all metropolitan municipalities nationwide (Busan Metropolitan City: 92.0%). In addition, the number of cremation at the outside of the jurisdiction has been steadily increasing since 2014. It is analyzed that the number of cremation at the inside of the jurisdiction is 16,004, which is 67.3% of total number of cremation, and the number of cremation at the outside of the jurisdiction is 7,779, which is 32.7%. We would like to suggest the following policy suggestions to solve the problems caused by the increase in cremation demand. First, the number of operations of cremation in public facilities located in Gyeonggi-do adjacent to Incheon Metropolitan City is needed to be increased. Second, the extension of the time limit for the use of cremation facilities of the dead people at the outside of the jurisdiction is needed. Third, the charge for cremation at the outside of the jurisdiction has to be increased. Fourth, improvement measures such as relaxation of residency requirements for deaths at the inside of the jurisdiction, who used the public facilities in Incheon Metropolitan City, should be undertaken.
Implementation of Self-expression Tool with Interactive Hangeul

Modern people communicate in a digital space without being limited by physical space and time. On the internet, people's desire for self-expression is getting bigger, and the most common self-expression tool is characters. Characters are visual materials to express human thoughts and desires. This study is a method to positively express the viewer's self in an interactive Hangeul system. The proposed system produces new formative shapes and meanings of Hangeul through the process of deconstructing and reconstructing the characters. Immediate character transformations that are synchronized with the motion of the viewer act as a tool of self-expression by inducing the viewer's active interaction repeatedly. Therefore, the proposed interactive Hangeul is more than enough to be used as a new graphic tool beyond the text to be read, and it is highly likely to develop into cultural contents using it.
Performance Improvement of Classifier by Combining Disjunctive Normal Form features

This paper describes a visual object detection approach utilizing ensemble based machine learning. Object detection methods employing 1D features have the benefit of fast calculation speed. However, for real image with complex background, detection accuracy and performance are degraded. In this paper, we propose an ensemble learning algorithm that combines a 1D feature classifier and 2D DNF (Disjunctive Normal Form) classifier to improve the object detection performance in a single input image. Also, to improve the computing efficiency and accuracy, we propose a feature selecting method to reduce the computing time and ensemble algorithm by combining the 1D features and 2D DNF features. In the verification experiments, we selected the Haar-like feature as the 1D image descriptor, and demonstrated the performance of the algorithm on a few datasets such as face and vehicle.
A study on BEMS-linked Indoor Air Quality Monitoring Server using Industrial IoT

In this paper, we propose an interworking architecture for building indoor air quality monitoring server (BEMS) using IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things). The proposed monitoring server adopts IIoT-based standard protocol so that interaction with BEMS installed in existing buildings can be performed easily. It can effectively communicate with indoor air quality measurement sensor installed in the building based on IIoT, Indoor air quality monitoring is possible. We implemented a proposed monitoring server, and confirmed the availability and monitoring of data from sensors in the building.

In order to ensure the flow of goods available and more flexible, reduce labor costs, many factories and industrial zones around the world are gradually moving to use automated solutions. One of them is to use Automated guided vehicles (AGV). Currently, there are a line tracing method as an AGV operating method, and a method of estimating the current position of the AGV and matching with a factory map and knowing the moving direction of the AGV. In this paper, we propose ceiling Light and guided line based moving direction estimation algorithm using multi-camera on the AGV in smart factory that can operate stable AGV by compensating the disadvantages of existing AGV operation method. The proposed algorithm is able to estimate its position and direction using a general - purpose camera instead of a sensor. Based on this, it can correct its movement error and estimate its own movement path.
Development of IoT based Real-Time Complex Sensor Board for Managing Air Quality in Buildings

Efforts to reduce damages from micro dust and harmful gases in life have been led by national or local governments, and information on air quality has been provided along with real-time weather forecast through TV and internet. It is not enough to provide information on the individual indoor space consumed. So in this paper, we propose a IoT-based Real-Time Air Quality Sensing Board Corresponding Fine Particle for Air Quality Management in Buildings. Proposed board is easy to install and can be placed in the right place. In the proposed board, the air quality (level of pollution level) in the indoor space (inside the building) is easy and it is possible to recognize the changed indoor air pollution situation and provide countermeasures. According to the advantages of proposed system, it is possible to provide useful information by linking information about the overall indoor space where at least one representative point is located. In this paper, we compare the performance of the proposed board with the existing air quality measurement equipment.
