In Gyeongju a new railroad station will have been opened by 2010. So a drastic switch of thinking is necessary in establishing urban development policies for Gyeongju. Added to this, the newly established law for the preservation of historic city will be expected to give much effect on the urban development policy of Gyeongju city. By this law being enforced, most of the old streets of Gyeongju city will be included in this special preservation area and historical environment area which will be newly designated. Then, the basic for the preservation of old street will be strengthened. Therefore, the development policies of Gyeongju as historic city depend on the harmonious urban development between the old streets and new Gyeongju city. I think it is the best choice to have a dualistic urban system which plan to construct new city around the neighboring area of the new Gyeongju railroad station of Geong-Bu express railroad and around the old streets to preserve the historical scenery in the old streets area, culture, education, sightseeing industry should be emphasized, while administration business, economy should be succeed in the new city. As from this new city area neighboring railroad station to Daegu, or Busan, it will take less than 30 minutes. And housing cost will be relatively cheap, the potential ability of growing as the behind residential city is very big. Therefore, if modern urban facilities are well equipped and the connection with neighboring cities is smoothly done, Gyeongju can be developed as an ideal city which can satisfy not only cultural and educational desire but urban economic activities of citizens.

The purpose of this thesis, is to analyze on the Gyeongju's Parts of an automobile Manufacturers providers' financial structure and restructuring of profit model, that are needed due to the current development of Information Systems. The new improved business model is to be attained with the use of financial ratios and analyzing the current business management environment. From the research, it shows that Gyeongju's Parts of an automobile Manufacturers leverage index is satisfactory compared with other Parts of an automobile Manufacturers providers, but liquidity ratio has resulted to be less than 43% of the maximum value. Profitability index is mostly high compared with overseas telecom providers, but growth index have decrease significantly. Lastly, as for activity ratios, Gyeongju's Parts of an automobile Manufacturers value of turnover ratio of total asset is normal compared with the other Parts of an automobile Manufacturers providers, but the value of turnover of net worth is unsatisfactory. The result of this research may be used as a tool for the Gyeongju's Parts of an automobile Manufacturers providers to be aware of their current status, and build a countermeasure for the rapidly changing Parts of an automobile Manufacturers industry's management environment.

This paper examines how a cultural heritage city can be built to promote cultural tourism in Gyeongju. Though the demand for cultural tourism is growing in accordance with cultural capital enlargement, yet tourism business is slow in Gyeongju City, which is known by a well-known historic cultural city. This research was conducted to find alternative measures to promote cultural tourism in the city by investigating the issues and problems concerning the development of a cultural heritage city and by analyzing the current situation and conditions of regional tourism industry. This paper argues that to undertake the project for the development of a cultural heritage city in Gyeongju, more emphasis should be placed on the perception of Gyeongju as an area full of tourism resources than on the perception of Gyeongju as merely an archetypical restoration target. The project should see to it that construction of the Korean-style house preservation district should is based on the concept of traditional culture districts. Some legislation is necessary for the project to be successful.

The purpose of this paper is to conform the dilemma and impact in the public policy making through case analysis of decision making for the headquarter place of the Korean Water and Atomic Power Co. In effect, Image of the city acts on as major a factor. Gyeongju, as a historic city, has to upgrade itself to an elegant city, not only in dignity or image but also in establishing brand identification while maintaining its natural features. Because this induces a ripple effect on regional economy development such as an increse in the number of tourists. Therefore the importance of the enhancement of city's image, a street walk and a signboard improvement cannot be overemphasized. On this point, this study focuses on the analysis of the view of a city and outdoor advertising system of five excellent local goverments and recommands to suggest effictive ways of administration and elevation of quality level in Gyeong-ju in order to make a street walk and a signboard culture improvement.

The purpose of this research is to establish the scale of incineration facilities for Gyeongju' current waste treatments on basis for economically effective incineration facilities scale. Also we suggested that alternatives for endeavor on exclusive and local egoism which serious issues in ways of incineration facilities establishment locally. First of all we have to investigate the generation and treatment situation of its on focus of various data related to waste, then in basis of results of various appropriate incineration facilities, inquire into the problems of suitable site related to incineration and its facilities establishment as the period of waste landing prohibition drew near. Therefore we suggest that improved alternatives of incineration facilities on focus of various results.

This study was performed to present effective management methods or make suggestions on the operation of golf courses. For the purpose, We compared the differences between customer's expectation and recognition on the service quality of golf courses and analyzed the overall satisfaction level and their decision in terms of recognition patterns. The subjects of the study were selected from the population of users of golf courses in Gyeongju during April 2007 and Convenience sampling was used for the sampling. Questionnaires for the study were distributed 250 subject in 5 golf courses in Gyeongju. A total of 230 responses were collected from the 250 copies; a total of 196 valid responses were analyzed since 34 responses did nat meet the basic requirements to be valid. In oder to analyze the collected valid responses, EXCEL & SPSS/WIN 12.0 package program was used to employ the frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis.

City's scenery influences its impression and perception felt by its residents as well as visitors. At the same time, it determines the competitiveness of city. Especially, signboards are one of the important factors in determining city's spectacle and impression. The millennium city of Gyeongju may be better to possess ancient image of old city. In this regard, signboard should be differentiated from other cities. In addition, the size, style, and design of signboard do not match the old city's image. Thus, obsolete and ugly signboards need to be replaced and changed. Although there are many discussions concerning replacement and improvement of signboards, the execution issue of signboard replacement has not yet been addressed so far. This paper presents the strategy of improving the current signboard situation in Gyeongju. It also suggests the step-by-step execution scheme for improvement of signboard culture.

Surrounded with neighboring mountains, fields and rivers, Gyeongju city has a beautiful landscape. Namcheon, Bukcheon and Seocheon are 3 major streams flowing across its downtown, playing a critical role in forming townscape of Gyeongju city. And they also contribute much to creating pleasant urban environment and improving city images. The results of survey on actual profile of Gyeongju's parkland areas and landscape architecture as well as possible directions of improvement can be outlined as follows: 1. The area of Hwangseong Park should be extended and maintained with its well-conserved forest zone so as to build it as a pleasant resting site for citizens. 2. For the boulevards in urban district, seasonal beautiful native shrubs and trees should be planted and well maintained. 3. Remnant urban spaces should be also established as open space in harmony with urbanscape. 4. Gyeongju's 3 major streams, Namcheon, Bukcheon and Seocheon should be well maintained to make water flow all the time and interconnected with one another for creating eco-friendly urban streams. 5. The watersides of Seocheon Stream should be developed environment-friendly in diversified ways with municipal facilities for citizens. 6. Geumjangdae around Yegi-Cheongso area should be restored to its native conditions, while citizens or visitors can enjoy boating in river. 7. Lagerstroemia indica Linnaeus, a tree growing on the cliff of Geumjangdae, should be well protected for better and healthier growth. 8. Dragon-like lamps should be installed on the roadside of Seocheon in vicinity of Janggun-gyo Bridge, and lotus images should be sculpted on the surface of bridge by means of supergraphics for better quality of night view.
