The purpose of this study is to improve the cultual and civic qualities of young children through : (1) education on the cultural heritage in Gyeongju, (2) education on etiquette, (3) education on socialization, (4) Multi-cultural education, (5) education on anti-prejudice, (6) education on peace. For the effective achievement of this purpose, Gyeongju City Hall must give the financial support to such projects on the improvement of cultural and civic qualities of young children as follow; (1) developing education program for young children (2) reinforcing practical education for young children (3) establishing learning centers for young children. In conclusion, for the education of young children it is necessary that Gyeongju government give deep consideration and provide financial funding for the improvement of cultural and civic qualities.

Traffic accident has become a serious socio-economic and transport problem in our society. Specially There are a lot of traffic accidents in Gyeongju city. So this study is to check what problem the roadway has and provide the mitigation to reduce the traffic accident in Gyeongju city. For this study, twenty traffic accident black spots in Gyeongju city were selected, using the accident record data. Traffic accident is mainly caused by a mixed interaction of driver, vehicle and roadway facility due to the accident record data. According to this study, there are a lot of problems in roadway condition at those area, such as, problems of horizontal and vertical curve, pavement, median barrier, stop sight distance, etc. This research provides an important step towards studying the traffic accident problem and traffic safety policy in Gyeongju.

"Gyeongju, City of History and Culture". What do we have to do for this slogan? First of all, we have to try to enhance the value of the brand of Gyeongju. Secondly, we have to develop local cultural tourist attractions. Thirdly, we need to found a special research institution that can concentrate the scattered organizations related to culture and can enhance the local residents' minds and cultures like Korea Studies Advancement Center(KSAC) in Andong. Last but not least, it is important that we have to make the circumstance that Gyeongju can be the place for training of juveniles' mind. And it must be based on the historicity and tradition of Gyeongju and the brand of Gyeongju as tourist attraction. Especially, Gyeongju is the oldest city of history and culture that has our national eternal cultural heritage. Gyeongju is the place that Wha-rang used to train their bodies and minds. Gyeongju should make Wha-rang-do Park so that juveniles can try to their hearts' content to realize their future dreams like that a few years ago, it tries to draw Taekwondo Park. It will be the foundation that we can prepare the cardinal point of juvenile educational culture and we can overcome the blind spot of modern education.

Local churches should share their fates with Community. They have to realize responsibility for not only the poor and the underprivileged but also envirmonment, culture, economy, politics, education. It is important to examine carefully what Churches should do to resolve Social polarization in terms of revitalization of local social welfare. Therefore this study examines the overall realities of church welfare participation focucing on 'the churches which won awards under the heading of church in the community" and the churches in Gyoung-Ju. and realizes changes in the Community and searches model and role of the churches which are required in the polarized society.

The purpose of this paper work is to find out the point at issue of Gyeongju' current waste politics and then to make the alternatives better than before conditions. Gyeongju is the most famous tourism city of Korea. First of all we have to investigate the generation and treatment situation on focus of various data related to waste, then in basis of results of appropriate incineration ratio, inquire into the problems of politics related to incineration and its facilities establishment. Therefore we suggest that improved alternatives of incineration politics on focus of various results.

Although Gyeongju city expects the big improvement of local economy by attracting the nuclear waste facility and its public organizations, the most important thing is that how we can settle the incoming people down into Gyeongju. And it is also important to improve the level of cultural arts and accessibility in order to correspond to the goal of local government. Especially Gyeongju aims at the international historic and cultural city. So it has a lot of cultural art groups and various activities and programs compared to other cities. But the local cultural art improvement does not depend on the numbers of exhibitive festivals and cultural art activities and programs needing big money. Great numbers of concerned groups, activities of similar contents and simple financial support can be a serious fact which will lose the local cultural identity and its competitive power. The circle of cultural art in Gyeongju can not be excluded. This study will present the current situation and problem of cultures & arts in Gyeongju city and some task for its improvement.

This study has two major purposes: 1) to examine the relationship between organizational identification and hotel internal marketing. 2) to examine the relationship between job satisfaction and hotel internal marketing. Questionnaires for the study were distributed 240 subject in 4 super deluxe hotel in Gyeongju A total of 236 reponses were collected from the 240 copies; a total of 226 valid reponses were analyzed since 10 reponses did nat meet the basic requirements to be valid. In oder to analyze the collected valid responses, SPSS/WIN 12.0 package program was used to employ the frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and regression analysis, one-way ANOVA.

The purpose of the present study is to research the relation with life satisfaction by the characteristic of volunteer service activity for married women of middle-aged. Not only this purpose, but also the secondary purpose is to help make their own life more importantly and effectively for the married women of middle- aged falling into mental, physical and social confusion by making aware of the volunteer service activity. At base on the result of this study, we made several proposals in order to elevate the life satisfaction from the revitalization of volunteer service activity of the middle aged married women and the volunteer service activities. First, various plans which can improve recognitionand participation motivation of volunteer service activity must be considered. Second, the rearing of an expert receiving a systematic education is necessary, and the plans which make approach easily the volunteer service activity by the systematic and positive education and publicity activities are demanded. Third, in view of the result that the response of their family for volunteer service activity of the middle-aged married women affect the life satisfaction importantly, the volunteer program which can improve the relation among family and make to spend the meaning leisure with family is necessary. Fourth, the development of various and special volunteer service activity field is necessary so as to show own talent, educational level or professionalism. Also the systematic management of volunteer activity to do volunteer service activity continuously as a creation of social atmosphere and support program is demanded.

In addition to the function of the landscape for the joyful leisure, its primary and basic to the residents in the urban area is to keep fundamental life of the human sustainable and its quality improved, leading to the philosophical and higher quality of life. Especially, the urban planning in term of the comfort of the residents is becoming popular due to the following reasons : 1) increased interests of the local residents in the urban area on the living environment more comfortable and sustainable. 2) the preference of the life the public enjoying the culture and art rather than simple life seeking the earning of money itself. Therefore, the officials in charge of the administration of the urban city should improve the urban landscape and provide the benefits to the public residents in the urban area through the planning of urban city. Specifically, the effects of structural components of the urban landscape such as the roadside trees, electrical poles, commercial advertisement, and building office, etc, on the formation of a roadside landscape were quantitively evaluated and its result can be applied to the Korean urban area, if the well organized arrangement and polishing of the structural components of the urban landscape are to be accomplished.

Convergence is a driver for creating value or wealth in heterogeneous areas. Applications of information technology such as digital technology and RFID or ubiquitous sensor network (USN) to culture enable Gyeongju to realize digital culture contents and u-tourism or u-monitoring and management of cultural assets. This paper presents alternatives for fostering digital culture contents industry and introducing u-tourism and u-monitoring systems with a case of u-Bulguk temple.

Dong gyeong-i dog is originated from Korean ancient. Dong gyeong-i is a neatly extincted, The name is originated Dong-gyeong, another name of Gyeongju city, the capital of ancient Silia kingdom. Dong-gyeong-i was popular during that period. The purpose of this study propose to protect the Dong gyeong-i whose short or non-tail dog was historic Korean native canine breed. This study is aimed to investigated the character of Dong gyeong-i, nearly extinct Korean native dog. AS the results of studies, We found that Dong gyeong-i was a Korean native dog. This has been recorded on ancient books According. The dog is usually willing to announce the approach of strangers and friendly.

This study analyzed characteristics of natural and human environments in Gyeongju's Seochun and Namchun Liver, and suggested nature-friendly planning strategies for self-purification of water quality, biodiversity improvement and conservative waterfront recreation. The environmental analysis included streambed structures, floodplain soils, water quality, vegetation, wildlife, and human facilities. Nature-friendly planning strategies were established based on analysis of the environmental characteristics. They focused on not merely spatial zoning and layout divided into four zones-preservation, partial preservation, conservation, and use, but close-to-nature channel revetment techniques, natural water-purification facilities, biotope diversification, and water-friendly recreation and circulation. Strategies pursued both renewal of stream naturalness and hydraulic stability of streamflow by minimizing transformation of natural channel micro-topography and biotope, and by reflecting natural traces of streambed structures such as revetment scour and sedimentation.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how to promote tourist business of Gyeongju city. The solutions of this problem are, first, the development of explanation program of cultural heritages, second, preservation, restoration and reappearance of cultural heritages and surrounding environments, third, the making of tourism resources of Gyeongju residents' living figures, fourth, the making of tourism product of local tradition and industry, fifth, the improvement of tourism system and downtown area, sixth, the improvement of accessibility to Gyeonggju city, seventh, internal pricing, eighth, the cultivation of cultural industry, eighth government supports including allowing casino for domestic citizens.
