This research is to prepare a direction of landscape management and landscape formation centered by Seorabeol Road, which was selected as the special landscape control district. For this research, the rudimentary way for the Gyeongsangbukdo’s landscape plan, which is the pre-suggested plan, and the landscape plan for the city of GyeongJu was considered in mind to set a basic way of the Seorabeol Road’s landscape plan. The field survey of the road was carried out with four different sections of the total length of the road which is about 9km. The landscape plan assignment for the practical purpose was suggested to each section of the road, while the landscape managing strategy was proposed to achieve the historical and symbolic characteristics of the Seorabeol Road.

A plant factory is a topic whether it is these days. It is increased interest as opposed to a plant factory recently in a direction of future agriculture. However, the discussion on plant factory is the fact that sporadic, examination of the economic side is lacking in. Therefore, it is going to be examined at of technology and an economic point of view as against a condition for use in industrialization of a plant factory and possibility by this study. Aplant factory begins to be made common use in developed countries from 1960's, and technology is accumulated with a considerable standard. In Korea, cultivation technology has begun to develop through a glass green house business in 1990's. A study to apply light emitting diode technology to farm products cultivation in these days is traveled lively. A plant factory is determined according to a japanese example by there being economy. Research and development is promoted with a course to make productivity and quality control recently in Japan. Especially, construction of a vertical farm is planned in USA and Canada. Therefore, it is necessary Korea more positions a plant factory in new growth power of agriculture, and to do. A research and development investment of plant factory is expanded, and newly technical developments is promoted positively, and it must advance.

The purpose of this study is to estimate the economic impacts of tourism industry in Gyeongju using a regional input-output(I-O) model. For this study multipliers of tourism sectors were derived from the Gyeongbuk regional I-O transactions tables developed by Bank of Korea(2009) in terms of output, income, value-added, employment. Furthermore, it was used statistical data of domestic and foreign visitors to Gyeongju provided by regional municipal office in order to estimate per capita expenditure. The results of the regional I-O model indicate that the tourism industry of Gyeongju generated 2,703,903 million Won of output impact, 465,327 million Won of income impact, 1,319,328 million Won of value-added impact, and 52,566 full-time jobs throughout direct and indirect effect. Based on the results there were discussed and supposed practical implications for policy makers to develop a tourism competitiveness of the region.

The purpose of this study was to get analysis, reduction alternatives and management plan for environmental contamination of Yonggang industrial complex in Gyeongju. In other word, in this research we have analyzed the influence of water pollution, air pollution, noise, vibration and malodor for environmental contamination, and then have established reduction alternatives, systematic managemental plans for environmental contamination materials. The results of this study were as following ; It has been shown that in case of air pollution for sulphur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide and PM-10 in four spots have satisfied with air environmental standard in all parameters. In case of water quality have showed with "good" ranked for five measurement items, so BOD and SS have some higher value and COD, TP and TN have slightly lower than conventional measurement value, have not nearly interaction relationship. In case of noise have satisfied with noise standard in two spots when daytime(55.6dB) and nighttime(45.8dB) for average noise. Finally in case of malodor one spot have detected with styrene, toluene and xylene in morning and evening time, and then the other spot have detected with DMS, acetaldehyde, propionaldehyde, styrene, toluene, xylene and MEK, specially toluene and xylene have higher concentration value in evening time, not morning time, have examined with air dilution experience method, inhabitants awareness survey and instrumental analysis.

This research was carried out in order to survey the current state of the care givers in the formal service sectors and to provide policy implications for developing care workforce management system in Gyeongju. In this research, a survey of 195 care givers in the long-term care facilities for the elderly were carried out in order to find out their current state involved in the job. The results of this research suggest that there is a need to establish an adequate workforce development and management system for long-term care of the elderly in Gyeongju. More in-depth and on-going study of the care givers are needed in order to develop training and career development programs. Information centers that could function as the clearinghouse for the data base of care givers at the local levels may be helpful in coordinating the care givers and the consumers. This center could provide information and referral services and training services as well. The local governments need to play leading roles in experimenting with pilot-projects which respond to the local needs of providing a stable and qualified workforce that are essential in creating high quality and sustainable long-term care system in Gyeongju.

This study aims to evaluate the practical strategies established for the downtown revitalization of Gyeongju. This study reviews previous researches about downtown revitalization and examines major plans established for the downtown revitalization of Gyeongju. For example this study scrutinizes major public plans such as, 2020 Urban Master Plan, Master Plan for the Establishment of Gyeongju Historical and Cultural City, Master Plan for the Revitalization of Downtown Economy and etc. Based on the findings from the analysis this study propose public considerations and strategical approaches for the enhancement of the downtown revitalization efforts of the Gyeongju.

The way to raise cultural pride of Gyeongju is to produce the cultural landscape that is used as historical identity, the most valuable thing Gyeongju possesses. Producing cultural landscape is to create the visible form treated tangible and intangible assets. That's just the thing historical culture of Gyeongju gets redesigned. Understanding the concept of cultural city and cultural network are the first point to start on producing cultural landscape. And then this study investigates the current situation of heritage, culture infrastructure and urban infrastructure. And it sorts these cultural facilities which givs characteristics, according to period and function, then the connected path is to be capable of becoming a cultural street. So, the needed facilities for that cultural street should be designed to express the identity of Gyeongju, and the museums on a small scale ought to be built up within the connected sites to be cultural network. And it should be shaped up the cultural landscape that the center of whole city Gyeongju is to be on a cultural network.
