This research has been conducted to explore the effect of Adenophora Radix, as a natural substance, on hair growth and to provide basic data on the development potential of Adenophora Radix as a cosmetic product for preventing hair loss. Accordingly a hair growth efficiency test and a clinical test on application to human skin were carried out through a mouse model. In relation to the hair growth efficiency test which was carried out through the mouse model, 6 weeks old C57BL/6 male mice were used as the test animal and a powder obtained from enrichment and lyophilization of a filtrate of adenophora triphylla var. japonica soaked in 70% ethanol liquid was used for the Adenophora Radix sample. As test substances, AR-1(1% Adenophora Radix extract), AR-2(5% Adenophora Radix extract), ethanol and PBS were used. Observations were carried out change on fractography of hair follicle, degree of melanin pigmentation. As a result of microscopic examination on test animal groups, the highest number of follicles and hair shaft in the follicles were shown in the group which AR-2 was applied. Higher number of follicles were shown in the following order AR-2>AR-1>ET>PBS. In relation to the degree of melanin pigmentation of skin, an observation was carried out on the 1st, 5th and 9th day and the value obtained on the 9th day was 267.15(±15.03), 320.45(±75.53), 320.45(±41.94), 193.10(±22.61) respectively according to each test group(p<0.05). C57BL/6 shows that melanocyte only exists restrictively in follicles and allows to determine the growth period of hair by skin colour since melanin synthesis confirms well with the hair growth period and shows a dark grey color during the growth period.

The aging population increases rapidly in the modern society thanks to the development of medical technologies and improved quality of life. It is an important social matter and the senior welfare should be improved for the disease control, health maintenance and improvement and improvement of quality of life of the elderly. The research was conducted to prove the influence of the foot reflex massage on blood circulation and sleep of the elderly and to identify whether it could be utilized to improve senior’s blood circulation and sleep quality. 10 seniors age of 70 and more who were considered to have poor quality of sleep in Daejeon participated in the experiment. Total 10 sessions of foot reflex massage was administered from November 7 to 28, 2011 and each session last for 30 minutes. The SPSS 18 Statistical Program was used and frequency analysis was employed for general features. The differences before and after the foot reflex massage was analyzed by Wilcoxon signed-rank test, Friedman test and T-test. As a normality test of the questionnaire, Kolmogo rov-smirnava test was used and each difference shown while administering the Friedman test was re-tested by Wilcoxon test. The result shows that the massage has influence on senior’s sleeping habit, awakening and sleep regularity. Such a result identifies that the foot reflex massage has an influence on the improvement senior’s blood circulation and quality of sleep. However, the subject group was not big enough to get research result about diseases. It is expected to have more researches on senior’s psychological disorders, chronic diseases in connection with the foot reflex massage.

This paper analyzed successful emotional cases in service positioning using emotional service in the beauty industry in Korea and investigated theories on the social phenomenon of emotional service pursuing the customers' impression as well as satisfying the internal value and aesthetic desire of consumers rather than rational service. On the basis of the analysis, this paper proposed a systematic and segmented customer-oriented emotional service manual standard for improving the image of the beauty industry restricted to body-oriented image in the existing service industry by establishing a predictable basic model of beauty service. Furthermore, this paper will contribute to activating emotional service and improving the service quality in the beauty industry by proposing a practical service manual which could realize a differentiated service positioning in beauty service in the ever-changing service industry.

The information revolution caused by the development of information and communication technology in the 21st century brought a change of paradigm in the arts as well as politics, economy, society, and culture. The development of imaging media induced the image communication age and, accordingly, brought about the era when personal image has been considered to be an important element. Hair design within beauty design is becoming an important element determining personal image, making it an area to express personal identity. As the development of media—including mass media—and the creation of emotional consumers have activated style, we pay attention to trends and have an interest in fashion, beauty, and hairstyles. Thus, emotional aspects pursuing beauty and personality rather than social position or functions have emerged even in hair design. This paper investigated the formativeness which could satisfy the features of hair design as the research on the formativeness of hair design. In particular, this paper analyzed hair trends in 2011 and 2012 of female entertainers which could be considered as trend-setters to strengthen the empirical values of those cases.

When it comes to a skin treatment, most people usually apply a massage or a familiar type of pack onto the skin while some of them want to receive a special skin treatment program at a skin care shop. People tend to think of getting such skin treatments above only when they see some troubles on the skin which they would consider serious. People feel bad to see enlarged pores and rough skin due caused by a lack of moisture. The skin of such conditions did not take any make-up and wrinkles are increased as the skin does not feel relaxed and moist. People seem to be aware of positive effects of three skin treatments which are massage, a pack and some special skin treatment and yet, not a single study has been conducted to actually prove the effects of the skin treatments. Since how those treatments would work together has not been investigated so far, the author of this study conducted a research on the matter targeting an experimental group which was later given three different experimental assignments. According to the results, the massage, Vitamin C and the rubber pack applied with a skin counseling system device appeared to have multiple reactions to each other and this has improved the moisture level of the experimental group as decreasing the pores and the wrinkles. The group with the rubber pack was particularly determined to have a great change with the pores, and the massage and Vitamin C were found less effective for the pores. For the wrinkles, the study figured out that the massage and the pack would not come up with promising results only by themselves.
