A Rabbit Farm Environmental Monitoring System based on Internet of Things

On account of the low degree of automation in a rabbit farm, this paper proposes a rabbit farm environmental monitoring system based on internet of things. First, this paper designs a rabbit farm environmental monitoring system according to the three-tier architecture of the internet of things. Then it chooses a wireless transmission module as required by the system in addition to the proposal of a new gateway initialization flow for the internet of things. After that, it analyzes the flow to query the farm monitoring data and the flow of reverse control on the environmental parameters to verify finally the feasibility of the system through the experiment.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is one of the most promising technologies for the changing the world. With the advent of IoT environment, new technologies are needed in recommendation methods. The existing recommendation methods provide recommendation using users and items, but they do not consider the characteristics of IoT. The recommendation methods need to incorporate IoT characteristics into it. This paper presents a levelized recommendation method in IoT environment. Our method integrates the traditional recommendation method with the social relationships between objects in IoT environment. The recommendation method is proposed, a scenario is described, and then several experiments are performed. The experimental results show that the proposed method's recommendation performance is better than other existing method in IoT environment.

Noise Elimination Method in Automatic Fire Detection Equipment in Accordance with the Communication Distance

This research focused on the communication noise level depending on the distance for conventional fire detection systems (RS-485 code-transmitter) in comparison to the newly developed optical cable automatic fire detection system (optical communication code-transmitter. The noise levels of the RS-485 code-transmitter were respectively 10, 200, 1200, and 2400 mV for the communication distances of 0, 1, 40, and 80 m and showed a correlation between the increase of the communication noise with the increase of the communication distance. However, the optical communication code-transmitter did not show any sign of communication noise at these four different distances. Therefore, the newly developed optical communication system is an ideal system to avoid false alarms in automatic fire detection system.

Study on an Improved PSO Algorithm and its Application for Solving Function Problem

Particle swarm optimization(PSO) algorithm has the advantages of simplicity and easy implementation, but it exits the weaknesses of the being easy to fall into local minimum and premature convergence. In order to overcome these weaknesses of PSO algorithm, the inertia weight and learning factor are improved and the PSO algorithm is initialized by using chaotic optimization in order to propose an improved PSO(WLFCPSO) algorithm. In the proposed WLFCPSO algorithm, chaotic optimization strategy is used to initialize the parameters of PSO algorithm in order to obtain the more reasonable initialization parameters. The adaptive inertia weight adjustment strategy is used to control the adjustment ability of inertia weight in order to keep the diversity of the inertia weight. The dynamic linear adjustment strategy for learning factors is used to gradually reduce the cognitive ability of the individual and improve the global search ability of particles. In order to prove the effectiveness of the proposed WLFCPSO algorithm, several benchmark functions are selected. The experiment results show that the proposed WLFCPSO algorithm has the rapider convergence speed and higher solution precision for solving high-dimension function optimization problems.

Plant Production System Based on Heliostats and LEDs Using Automatic Sliding Cultivation Shelves

In this research we discuss a plant production system based on heliostats and LEDs using automatic sliding cultivation shelves. In our production system, a hybrid lighting system of sunlight and LEDs is adopted to promote plant growth. Sunlight is thus provided to plants by using a solar tracking system during the day. LED lights are then used for illumination during the nighttime or on cloudy or rainy days. We also study reduction ratios of sunlight reflected into the plant production system and uniform irradiation capability of LED light. Safety of proposed sliding cultivation shelves is further investigated through structural analysis. An actual case study is demonstrated by growing ginseng seedlings in our plant production system and their cultivation results are analyzed. As a result, this paper provides useful information and fundamental data for developing a plant production system which uses both sunlight and artificial light.

Based on the characteristics of carbonate reservoirs, staged-fracturing technology for horizontal wells was adopted to effectively drain the reservior. Fracture parameters including orientation, number, length, fracture conductivity and distribution were optimized, and accordingly a hydraulic fracturing design was developed. Applied in oilfield, this method was proved to be effective in oil production. Therefore, it can provide theoretical guidance for the design of the stage-fractured horizontal wells.

Recently, we have a number of underground facilities included the water supply, the sewer management, the underground railway lines, and the parking lots. Their facilities has several meanings depends on the term of context used utility and facility functional operations, the infrastructure has the underground cables and pipes networks supported with all related assets. This paper presents a system architecture for monitoring underground facilities and provides a model for data acquisition from heterogeneous sensing sources and the analysis of such data. The system architecture for monitoring underground has an efficient data acquisition and processing procedure. An acquisition data and analysis information can provide an efficient method for monitoring and forecasting critical issues in the underground facilities and may assist in the maintenance efficiency as well.

Interaction with Cyber physical systems (CPSs) greatly differ from traditional human computer interaction. A theory that could explain multi-aspect interaction with cyber physical systems and would facilitate the implementation of highly interactive CPSs is needed. This paper tries to make the first steps in this direction and to provide insights for a necessary new theory. Four kinds of interaction which play a crucial role in the operation of CPSs and four fundamental aspects of interaction (i.e. levels, domains, contexts and modalities) are introduced. The theory explains both the aspects and the various constituents that should be considered. The novelty of the theory is in that it establishes relationships between the four aspects and supports the specification of wishful interaction profiles. Finally, a practical case of robot assisted smart bathroom is used to show how the theory can systematize and rationalize the designing of interaction with CPSs.

Bridge Surface Crack Detection Method under Multi-Scale and Multi-Perspective

According to the modern bridge health assessment and testing methods, compared with the traditional manual test to determine fracture, detection method based on digital image which applies digital image processing and pattern recognition technology to test and assess the bridge surface defect images has the characteristics of non-contact and high precision. Taking the grey-scale feature of the crack, this paper will put forward a kind of crack detection method based on multi-scale and multi-perspective. In view of the interference factors such as the holes, dirties and the others on the concrete pavement, we should analyze the characteristics of collected road surface images, and adopt DWT and NSST to resolve the source images from multi-scale, and then establish grey value similarity function, and withdraw the suspected crack information according to the similarity of contrast; second, remove the false crack use connected component measurement, and transfer the problem into graph theory problem; last, use the approximation coefficient of NSST domain, the fusion approximate coefficient of DWT domain and fusion detail coefficients to inverse, transform and rebuild fusion images so as to extract real crack. Through a lot of tests on the concrete pavement picture, experimental results show that this method can achieve real pavement cracks feature extraction, and enjoys a strong practicability.

This research work emphasizes on the design of the wireless LAN specific UART. The frequencies that are standardized for the wireless LANs have been analyzed by scaling the voltage. The aim is to find out the most energy efficient specifications for the UART. After all the calculations, deduction comes over to a point that increasing the voltages increases the power consumption and therefore, the wastage gets elevated too. However, at lower values there is lesser wastage of power and hence the efficiency increases. Virtex-4 FPGA and WLAN standards have been focused upon to make the UART design. Xilinx software as well as the Verilog Hardware Description Language have been used for the purpose. The power consumption swings between 16% to 95.59% for different values of voltages at the specified WLAN frequencies. Various power loss parameters have been studied to get the most optimum operating condition for the UART.

A Method for Missing Data Recovery of Air Pollutants Monitoring in Henhouse Based on QGSA-SVM

To solve the data missing problem caused by sensor faults during the air pollutants monitoring in henhouse, a method for missing data recovery was proposed based on support vector machine (SVM). Multiple factors that influence monitoring values of the air pollutants in henhouse, such as temporal, spatial and environmental, were considered to established a SVM regression model to estimate the missing data of the air pollutants monitoring. Meanwhile, to obtain better prediction accuracy, regression model parameters were optimized by a novel hybrid optimization algorithm which was combined standard genetic algorithm with quantum genetic strategy and simulated annealing tactics. Taking the data processing of the ammonia (NH3) concentration as an example, the proposed method was tested with the monitoring data of 3 days in a farm. The estimation results of missing data shown that there was a litter error between the estimated data and monitoring data, the maximal relative error was 5.87% (percent), the average relative error was 1.77% (percent). It is verified that this method of missing data recovery is feasible and valid.

Evacuation Safety Evaluation of Inundated Stairs Using 3D Numerical Simulation

Recently heavy rainfall have caused inundations in urban areas of Koera. Especially, inundation of undergroudn stairs makes people’s evacuation difficult. In this study, inundated flow condition of stairs are simulated numerically using commecial 3 D CDF model(FLOW 3D). From the results, critical evacuation conditions are evaluated according to flow depth and slopes of stairs. It is found that flow depth only over the 20cm could cause the danger in the evacuation along stairs. In the flow depth over 0.36cm, every people including young male, could not escape alone without any help. Inlet flow depth is more important factor than stair slopes. Inundation depth to underground stairs should be managed to keep below 0.2 m.

The problem of image acquisition system for quadruped search robot is proposed based on FPGA. The quadruped search robot can be used in smart home monitor. In the design, FPGA ping-pong operation method is used. The OV9650 camera module, EP4CE15 main control chip module and auxiliary module (clock unit and PLL unit) are completed with module method. The software design of the system is completed, including the control module and image acquisition module. According to the problems of co-ordination mechanisms of image acquisition, image storage and image processing, the immunity algorithm is improved to achieve co-ordination mechanisms. The simulation results given by training time of co-ordination mechanisms indicate that the proposed image acquisition system of FPGA is effective.

In this paper numerical simulation and experimental study was carried out for a tangential inlet air swirl burner which is used for high heat value biomass gas. Study on the different inlet angle effects on Combustion by numerical method. The results of the study show that the 30 degree is the best. The intake angle burner 30 degrees were tested to verify the accuracy of simulation results. Through the comparative analysis of the trajectory and the velocity of the air, the method and the conclusion of the simulation study are reliable.

Unicode font is used in coding system that assign a unique code to every symbol of scripts irrespective of their platform, and language. The Greek Unicoder receives 16-bit hexadecimal code of alphabet. The device has been designed to convert Greek language into different languages that our people could understand. This Unicode reader code has been implemented on 28nm FPGA platform called Kintex-7 FPGA. In this paper we are using frequency scaling technique and Design goal. In this paper power analysis is our main concern and we have studied about the power analysis at different frequencies keeping the temperature constant at 25 degree Celsius and maintaining the constant air flow.

As embedded devices prevail in daily life, high energy consumption caused by embedded software caught academic attentions. Multifarious testing and predicting methods are developed accordingly. This paper proposes a model about energy consumption of embedded device based on analysis of embedded software structure and support vector machine regression. The nonlinear relationship between energy consumption and software structure is revealed. The research finds software structure is determined by features like number of components, complexity of component interface, component coupling, and path length. These features are qualified and modeled by using support vector machine regression and energy consumption is predicted based on this model. The experiments results confirm the proposed model.

Extension neural network is a new type of neural network that combines extension theory and artificial neural network. Extension neural network has been applied to pattern recognition, fault diagnosis and clustering. According to fault characteristics of rolling bearing, we propose a fault diagnostic method for rolling bearing based on extension neural network. We construct the fault diagnosis model based on extension neural network along with the learning algorithm, which are then applied to fault recognition of rolling bearing. Simulation experiment indicates that this algorithm is easy to implement and has small training error and fast convergence speed. The algorithm has both theoretical and practical value.

This paper introduces a smart pet care system that is working in an environment of Internet of Things (IoT). Basic services of the proposed smart pet care system are: Remote feeding, remote controlled automatic defecation, CCTV service and Smart phone APP that can provide the control information of the above services. In this paper, we make an empirical analysis to test the college students' decision-making behavior by using online survey, the result shows that decision making style will indirectly affect the career decision-making through the self management strategy (self adjustment dimension) and job definition (cognitive dimension).Therefore, in the background of internet data, effective using network and database to analyze the behavior of college students, can help students make decision-making better. Earnings management is an important strategic decision of banks, which will affect the future development direction of the bank. In this paper, author selects the data of listed banking industry in China from 2004 as the sample, and tries to find out the factors that affect the earnings management, especially the influence of the ownership structure and the competition on earnings management. Through the empirical analysis, we found that the proportion of the first largest shareholder and the degree of earnings management of the bank presents the "U" type nonlinear relationship; the proportion of the senior executives has negative impact on the earnings management. There is a positive correlation between the market share competition and earnings management in the banking industry. Overall, the rise in the absolute amount or relative amount of bank loans will increase the level of earnings management of banks. The degree of competition of state-owned banks is negatively related to earnings management, but non state-owned banks were positively correlated to earnings management.

On the base of analyzing the status and the main problems of Anhui provincial construction engineering quality inspection institutions, the five principles were proposed to put forward the total control, optimize the structure and increase and development ability, moderate competition and standard development. By optimizing the detection mechanism, enhancing the overall level of the testing agencies, and strengthening supervision, to achieve a basic balance and reasonable layout of supply and demand in various cities and regions. It provides reference for the research and practice of the supervision and management of construction engineering quality test institutions.

An Optimal Energy Management Strategy for Thermally Networked Microgrids in Grid-Connected Mode

Networked microgrids (NMGs) are capable of dealing with different load growth scenarios and fluctuations in the electricity market prices in a more efficient way than single microgrids (MGs). A mixed integer linear programming (MILP)-based model for optimal energy management in thermally NMGs with piecewise linearized model for combined heat and power (CHP) generators is proposed in this paper. In order to fulfill the electric load demand, each MG is considered as a distinct entity with the objective to minimize the operation cost. Being in grid-connected mode, this objective can be achieved either by operating the local generations or through trading with the main grid. The thermal load demand can be satisfied by either using the local resources or through trading with other MGs of the NMG with specified lines capacities. The objective is to maximize the usage of more economical units of individual MGs while minimizing the thermal energy waste of the entire network. Case studies with CPLEX in C++ environment have demonstrated the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed strategy for TNMGs in grid-connected mode.

Second-Order Power Analysis Attacks against Precomputation based Masking Countermeasure

Precomputation look-up table based masking countermeasure is low-cost and secure against first-order DPA, therefore is more suitable for lightweight ciphers in resourceconstrained devices. In this paper, we investigate the resistance of this masking countermeasure against second-order power analysis attack under the attack context of the Hamming weight leakage and the precomputation masked S-box. We improve the Adapted CPA technique [1] to make a better use of this attack context. Our attack successfully reveals the secret key with and without electronic noise and algorithmic noise. The number of power traces required to reveal the secret key rises from 600(unprotected implementation) to 16,000.

Smart home is a nondeterministic complex environment. Sensors and actuators network are involved in smart home to collect environmental information and to control the devices used by the user for comfort of life. Generally smart home system is implemented by logical rules which described the relation between each element (sensors and actuators). Controlling using logical rules is difficult. In this paper, we have represented an intelligent system for smart home by using Boolean Control Network. For easy control, we have used matrix expression of logic. The system is controlled in several states and in each state different device is operated through actuator network. Matlab based simulation work is done to show the state changes of the system. The result shows that using matrix expression it is easy to control the state of this system.

With the rapid development of mobile internet technology and the continuous improvement of our living standard, our demands for smart home are also increasing. In order to design a smart home control system, we design the topological structure through the analysis of the requirement of smart home control system. Then we select hardware devices; build IP network and communication network to achieve the system function. At last we develop Pad and smart phone software. The system has multiple functions like monitor house, open and close curtains automatically, give an alarm, etc. The smart phone, PC and other devices link the residents and community service center to our houses.

Performance Analysis of Roof-Integrated Water-Type PVT Heating System

The Photovoltaic-thermal (PVT) collector is a single device that combines a photovoltaic module and a solar thermal collector, producing thermal energy and generating electricity simultaneously. PVT collectors produce more energy per unit surface area than side-by-side PV modules and solar thermal collectors. They can be classified into air-type and water-type collectors according to the thermal medium used for collecting heat in the collector. The water-type PVT collector tends to show better thermal performance than the air-type PVT collector. The thermal energy from water-type PVT collectors can be used in buildings for hot water and heating. It is important to understand the overall energy performance of building heating systems that work in conjunction with PVT collectors to demonstrate the potential of their building applications. The aim of this study is to analyze the performance of heating system combined with PVT collectors that are integrated on a building roof. For this study, a 1.5kWp roof-integrated water-type PVT system was installed onto an experimental house and was incorporated into its heating system. The experimental results showed that the total heat gain from the collector is 9.7 kWh, while the average thermal and electrical efficiency levels of the system are 30% and 17%, respectively. It was also found that the heating energy for the house can be reduced by 47%, as the heat gained from roof-integrated PVT system pre-heated the water used for heating system.
