The purpose of the study was to investigate the common errors that could be identified in solving problems involving linear equations for 7th graders, and suggested some ideas to improve problem solving abilities and to suggest efficient ideas to the students and mathematics teachers. The ability to deal with linear equations is important in teaching and learning mathematics since this idea continue to grow as the grade levels elevate such ideas as quadratic equation and cubic equations. Four different patterns were revealed and several suggestions were made to rectify the error in learning and teaching mathematics.

The purpose of this study is to show how the 3rd graders at middle school understand the definition of function that they already learnt at school and to find out what the misconception that students obtain about the definition of function in the expression of functional graph and algebra. Also, it suggests the difference in the ability of solving problems according to the representation method by investigating and analyzing after presenting the quadratic function as a form on graphical table and symbolic table. The qualitative research method was used on 5 students to perform the study by interviewing them before they solve the questions. The result of the study tells that students tend to see the definition of function as systematic rule or equations and they think the function should be expressed by one certain rule or equation. Also, they think the functional graph should be systematic.

The main purpose of this study is to find out the difference of learnning methods in mathematics depending on Constitution. And this research provide the teaching method for high school students. Lee Jeama, the oriental doctor of Joseon Dynasty, said people can be classified into four different groups; Tae-yang, Tae-eum, So-yang and So-eum. I choose 10 students according to Constitution. They consist in 3 groups; 4people who are Tae-eum, 3 people who are So-yang and 3 people who are So-eum. I observed the best approach to learn mathmatics according to constitution. After observation and interview, I analysis videotape and interview note. If each student has a different constitution, the way they learn is different. And the method of our teaching and coaching should different according to constitution. We need more research about the effects of constitution on teaching method.

The main purpose of this study is to analyze women related description in the 7th education course of the high school Korean history textbook on a gender equality point of view. Chapter II will conduct an analysis on the appearance frequency ratio of women in the textbook and concrete description on women appeared in the textbook. In Chapter III, we will review the characteristic of women related description by field such as Politics, Economy, Society and Culture. And through the problem recognition of description in the textbook, we will seek for improvements if any. Lastly, from Chapter IV, we will give a consideration on whether or not gender equal description in the textbook is inherent through gender equality point of view.

This study was begun when students appealed for their trouble with writing during the class. Regardless of their writing talents, they all complain about not having any writing topic - it was the most serious difficulty they have. This research analyzed which one is the decisive factor for good writing. The subjects were 120 second grade middle school students in Korea. In the first experiment, any information was provided to all students. And then, they were divided into four groups. One was a control group and the others were treatment group ; group 1 received a rhetoric knowledge, group 2 received a content knowledge and group 3 received rhetoric and content knowledge. The results were as follows : First, the content knowledge had a significant effect on the writing. The more familiarity they had with the subject, the higher score they obtained on writing. Second, the rhetoric knowledge had not any significant effect on the writing. The average score of the group 1 did not have a significant difference about the average score of the control group. Third, the content knowledge and the rhetoric knowledge did not have the same effect on writing. The average score of group 3 and that of group 2 was not different significantly. The content knowledge is the more important and meaningful Factor.

This paper examines the effects of a corpus-based English learning among Korean high school students. The subjects studied six vocabularies and six pattern grammars over a period of six weeks. The experimental group did collaborative activities with the materials extracted from the COBUILD corpus, while the control group was given the teacher's explanation in a traditional way of language teaching. As a result, the experimental group outperformed the control group and the experimental group got more progress in the area of vocabulary than in that of patten grammar. Also, the corpus-based learning was more effective to high-level students than to low-level students. In the survey, students answered that a corpus-based language learning facilitated noticing and identifying the target form and encouraged them to participate in learning more actively.
