The purpose of this research explore students’ cognition and way of motivation in mathematics lesson at high school. To do research execution, we conducted a survey of high school student : 44 student of 1 grade, 25 student of 2 grade. Research result, 50% of total students necessary only computation in Mathematics learning, but 10% of total students consider that Mathematics learning necessary when selecting professional in future. These problems can be solved with enunciation of attributes of learning math and introducing teaching methods including storytelling and computer using teaching that students prefer. For this teaching models are effective is not clear, there is need to be comparing with teaching models of other nations and follow-up studies.
