목적: 본 연구에서는 중국 운남성 지역을 중심으로 화장품 소비가 가장 많은 10대-40대 여성들이 자외선 및 자외선차단제에 대 한 인식도와 사용 실태, 구매 경로 등을 조사하고자 한다. 방법: 온라인 설문조사 서비스인 Wenjuanxing (Changsha Ranxing Information Technology Co., Ltd, China)을 이용하여 총 22문항으로 구성된 설문지를 배포하여 수집된 자료를 통계 프로그램을 이 용하여 빈도분석 및 교차분석을 실시하였다. 결과: 설문에 참여한 99.2%의 여성은 자외선이 피부에 유해하다는 인식을 가지고 있 으며, 모든 연령층에서 동일하게 색소침착, 노화촉진, 일광화상 순의 사유로 유해하다고 인지한 것으로 나타났다. 결론: 본 연구는 중국 남부 지역으로 진출을 희망하는 한국 화장품 기업이 자외선차단제를 기획할 때 참고할 수 있는 기초 자료를 제공하였다는 점 에서 상당한 의의가 있다고 판단된다
Purpose: In this study, we surveyed 1,325 women ranging in age from 10s to 40s and living in Yunnan province, China to examine their awareness regarding the harmfulness of ultraviolet (UV) rays, and their usage and preference of sunscreen. Methods: Questionnaires composed of a total of 22 questions were distributed using the online survey service Wenjuanxing. The data collected were analyzed through frequency analysis and crossover analysis using a statistics program. Results: Awareness that UV rays are harmful to the skin was present in 99.2% of the subjects. All age groups perceived the harmfulness of UV rays due to the same reasons, which were pigmentation, promotion of premature skin aging, and sunburn. Similarly, all age groups perceived that UV rays are harmful throughout the year. Conclusion: Awareness of the effects of UV rays helps Korean cosmetics companies to market and design sales strategies for sunscreen products in the southern region of China. This survey provided data specific to Yunnan regarding women's preferences, thereby facilitating comparative analysis with other regions in China.
目的: 在这项研究中,我们对居住在中国云南省的1,325名年龄在10到40岁之间的女性进行了调查,以了解她们 对紫外线 (UV)的危害认识,以及她们对防晒霜的使用和偏好。方法: 使用在线调查服务文卷兴分发共22个问题 的问卷。使用统计程序通过频率分析和交叉分析对收集的数据进行分析。结果: 99.2% 的受试者意识到紫外线对 皮肤有害。由于相同的原因,所有年龄组都感受到紫外线的危害,即色素沉着、促进皮肤过早老化和晒伤。同 样,所有年龄段的人都认为紫外线一年四季都是有害的。结论: 对紫外线影响的认识有助于韩国化妆品公司在中 国南方地区营销和设计防晒产品的销售策略。本次调查提供了云南特有的女性偏好数据,便于与中国其他地区 进行比较分析

SPF(자외선 차단 지수)가 높고 산뜻한 피부감과 높은 안전성을 갖춘 자외선 차단제는 자외선 차단제 시장의 핫스팟이다. 본 논문은 자외선차단 복합물의 상승작용, 식물유래 활성성분이 자외선차단에 미치는 영향, 자외선차단 마이크로캡슐과 고체지질 입자의 담체 개질 및 자외선차단 제품 제형시스템 측면에서 자외 선차단 시너지 기술의 핵심 포인트를 체계적으로 정리한 것이다. 본 총설은 자외선 차단제 제품 연구 개발에 과학적 근거를 제공하 여 향후 개발 방향에 대해 논술하였다
In recent years, sunscreen products have been the research focus in the field of daily chemicals. Sunscreen products with high sun protection factor (SPF), fresh skin feeling and high safety are the market hotspots of sunscreen products. This article systematically sorts out the key points of sunscreen synergistic technology from the aspects of sunscreen compound synergism, the influence of plant-derived active ingredients on sunscreen, the carrier modification of sunscreen microcapsules, the solid lipid particles and sunscreen product formulation system. This article explained the future development direction of sunscreen enhancement, hoping to provide scientific basis for the research and development of sunscreen product formula.
防晒类产品为近年来日化领域研究热点, 具有高防晒指数(SPF值)的长效防护, 同时肤感清爽,安全性高的防 晒产品为防晒类产品的市场热点。文章从防晒剂复配增效、植物源活性成分对于防晒的影响以及防晒剂的微胶 囊、固体脂质颗粒的载体修饰、防晒产品配方体系方面,系统整理了防晒增效技术的关键点,阐述了防晒增效 未来的发展方向,期望为防晒产品配方研发提供科学依据。

The purpose of this study is to research about the cognition of ultraviolet rays and the skin care against 95 golfers who visited golf course. 16 golfers were selected as test subjects to research the amount of moisture on facial skin after golf. 77.7% of test subjects understood that ultraviolet rays are harmful and they realized that the ultraviolet rays can cause pigmented skin lesion. However, 9.6% of people did not know it. Furthermore, 20.2% of people was not realized that sunburn can be caused by ultraviolet. According to this statement, people have low cognition of the harmfulness of the ultraviolet rays. Also 41.5% of test subjects answered that they don't have knowledge about sun protection factor, SPF and PA. 79.6% of golfers use sunscreen before they start to play golf. However, 20.5% of people do not use sunscreen not at all, or they don't use it when ultraviolet rays are not strong. 71.4% of test subjects do not use sunscreen because it is inconvenient. 26.9% of test subjects think that maker or brand is an important factor to choose sunscreen. 67.4% of people use sunscreen right before starting the golf but 60.9% of them do not use sunscreen over and over during golf. After the game, 28% of test subjects use mask pack for self skin care, and 37.6% of people use basic skin care product. There was an experiment for test subjects after playing golf. The water content of the right, left, and chin except the forehead was significantly increased(p<0.05) after skin moisturize care. In addition, test result shows that 75% of test subjects indicated that skin pulling feeling was decreased and felt moisturize. Plus, most of them were satisfied with their skin status.

자외선차단제품은 자외선차단 효과를 극대화하기 위하여 자외선차단성분 2종 이상을 복합으로 사용하고 있다. 본 연구는 자외선 차단성분 중 다빈도로 사용하고 있는 에칠헥실메톡시신나메이트 등 8종의 동시분석법을 확립하고 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 자외선차단성분 엑칠헥실메톡시신나메이트 등 8종의 동시분석법을 확립하기 위해 액 체크로마토그래프(HPLC-PDA)를 사용하였고, 자외선차단제품의 특성에 맞게 추출이 용이하도록 메탄올(methanol)을 사용하여 전처리법을 개발하였다. 확립된 분석법을 검증하기 위해 ‘의약품 등 시험방법 밸리데이션에 대한 가이드라 인’에 따라 밸리데이션을 진행하였다. 액체크로마토그래프를 이용한 다빈도 자외선차단성분 8종 동시분석법은 외부 기관을 통해 밸리데이션 교차검증을 수행하였고, 일관성 있는 결과를 확인하였다. 확립된 다빈도 자외선차단성분 동 시분석법은 향후 ‘화장품 중 배합한도 성분 분석법 가이드라인’를 통해 제공될 예정이며, 화장품의 안전 및 품질관리 에 크게 기여할 것으로 사료된다.
Sunscreen products have been using two or more compound ingredients in order to maximize the effect of the sunscreen. The purpose of this study is to establish and verify the simultaneous analysis of sunscreen ingredients of eight kinds (ethylhexylmethoxycinnamate etc.) that are frequent using among sunscreen ingredients. We used HPLC-PDA to establish simultaneous analytical method of frequent sunscreen ingredients. Preprocessing procedure was developed by using the methanol that is characteristically facilitative extract of the sunscreen products. In order to verify it, we validated the established method in compliance with “The guidelines for validation of the test method for medical substances”. Cross validation was conducted by testing agency and showed consistent results. Established sunscreen ingredients simultaneous analytical method will be provided through “The guidelines for analysis method for the restricted ingredients in cosmetics”. It is expected that the developed method can contribute to the safety and quality control of the cosmetic products and related industry.

This study examined the effects of sunscreen use on facial skin among men and women in their 20s. A survey was conducted with 384 men and women in their 20s living in the metropolitan area to assess their sunscreen usage and its effects. The collected survey data were statistically analyzed using SPSS ver. 24.0. As a result of the study in the survey regarding the effects of sunscreen use on facial skin, it was found that sunscreen was perceived to provid benefits such as skin protection and the prevention of skin discoloration. However, women reported higher experiences of side effects and itchiness compared to men, showing a significant difference between the genders. To improve these impact of findings, it is necessary to raise awareness among men about the harmful effects of UV exposure and encourage regular sunscreen use. Developing products with lightweight textures and a refreshing finish would promote the use of sunscreen among men. Additionally, to reduce the side effects experienced by women, it would be beneficial to clearly label product packaging with information about skin type compatibility and low-irritation ingredients. This would help consumers select products suitable for their skin type, thereby reducing side effects and increasing trust in the brand.
本研究以居住在首都圈的20后男性和女性为对象, 对384人进行了关于防晒霜使用与效果的问 卷调查, 并基于收集的问卷结果, 利用SPSS ver 24.0进行了统计分析. 研究结果显示, 在性别 差异方面, 尽管男女均知晓防晒霜的使用效果, 但男性“不使用”的比例显著高于女性. 在关于 防晒霜使用与面部皮肤效果的问卷中, 防晒霜的作用表现在保护皮肤和防止皮肤色素沉着方面. 而在副作用和皮肤瘙痒方面, 女性的经历显著高于男性. 为改善这些结果, 应提升男性对防晒霜 必要性的认知, 并研发轻质且清爽的防晒霜产品, 让男性更容易使用同时, 为减少女性的副 作用经历, 应在产品包装或标签上明确标注适合皮肤类型或低刺激成分的信息, 帮助消费者选 择适合自身皮肤的产品, 从而减少副作用并提高品牌信赖度.

목적: 색조화장품의 평생 사용이 예상됨에 따라서 남성 색조화장품의 연령별 구매 특성과 사용 실태를 조사하였다. 방법: 본 연구 의 설문조사는 카이제곱검정(χ2)을 실시, 유의수준 5%에서 검증하였으며, 통계처리는 SPSSWIN 21.0 프로그램을 사용하였다. 결 과: 색조화장품의 사용 이유는 30-40대는 '자기관리'적 측면에 의미를 두는 반면에 20대는 '자기만족과 자신감'에 의미를 두었다. 가 장 관심 있는 색조화장품은 피부 톤에 관한 제품들이었으며, 화장품의 정보를 얻는 곳은 인터넷과 모바일이지만 실제 구매를 할 때 는 각 연령대 모두 화장품 매장을 이용하는 남성들이 더 많았다. 결론: 전략적으로 남성화장품의 개발을 위해 연령별에 맞춘 상품구 성, 맞춤형 색조화장품의 상품 개발, 남성전용 피부 톤을 보완해주는 베이스 화장품 개발, 판매직원들의 정확한 사용안내 등의 마케 팅 전략이 이어져야 한다.
Purpose: Recently, there has been increasing interest among men in using color cosmetics to manage their appearance and/or improve their self-confidence. Thus, this study investigated the purchasing characteristics and use of men's color cosmetics according to age. Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted by using a chi-square test, with a significance level of 5%, while the SPSSWIN 21.0 program was used for statistical processing. Results: The reason for the use of color cosmetics is that men in their 30s and 40s tend to place greater meaning on “selfmanagement,” while those in their 20s generally emphasize “self-satisfaction and confidence.” In this study, the subjects of focus included products related to skin tone and how to obtain information on such products (e.g., through the Internet or mobile phones). However, when they actually made purchases, all of the age groups used cosmetics stores. As for specific products, 37.6% purchased sunscreen, 24.7% purchased BB/CC cream and lip balm, 3.9% purchased eyebrow pencils, and 3.7% purchased cushion-type products. Conclusion: Based on the findings, sunscreen and skin-correcting products, i.e., functional cosmetics, had the largest sales volume across all age groups. Moreover, product composition should be tailored to each age group, while product development of customized color cosmetics, the development of base cosmetics that complement men's skin tone, and accurate sales and marketing strategies, such as usage guidance, should be followed.

목적: 본 연구에서는 자외선이 피부에 미치는 영향에 대한 이해를 통해 골프전공자들의 피부건강관리행동이 자아존중감에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보고자 한다. 방법: 서울특별시 및 충청북도 소재 골프전공 대학생 400명을 대상으로 자외선차단에 대한 실태와 더불어 골 프전공학생과 선수 군에 따라 피부관리행동이 자아존중감에 미치는 영향에 대한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 이 중 응답이 불성실한 56명을 제외한 344명의 설문지를 분석하였다. 연구기간은 2015년 6월 1일부터 8월 20일까 지였다. 결과: 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구대상자를 골프전공학생, 아마추어선수, 프로선수로 나누어 일 반적 특성 및 피부건강관리행동을 분석하였다. 각 집단별 피부건강관리행동과 관련된 거의 모든 항목에서 세 집단 간 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 각 집단별 자외선에 대한 유해성 인식과 자외선 차단제의 인지도를 알아본 결과, 골프전공학생과 아마추어선수집단, 프로선수집단 간 자외선 유해성 및 색소침착·기미·주근깨· 검버섯 등의 피부문제 유발(p<.05), 그을림 현상과 피부암 발생, 피부건조증 발생(p<.01), 자외선에 의한 일광 화상·홍반·수포·반점·화끈거림 등(p<.001)에 대해서도 집단별 인식의 차이를 나타냈다. 마지막으로 각 집단의 피부건강관리행동과 자아존중감 간 상관관계를 분석을 위해 피부건강관리행동 문항을 피부자기관리형태, 화 장품 선택 및 사용, 생활습관으로 요인분류하여 자아존중감과의 상관관계를 연구하였다. 그 결과 골프전공학 생 집단에서 화장품 선택 및 사용, 생활습관이 긍정적 자아존중감과 상관관계가 나타났다(p<.05). 또한 프로 선수 집단에서도 생활습관이 자아존중감 간 상관관계를 보이고 있어(p<.05) 생활 속 피부건강관리행동 실천 도가 높을수록 자아존중감이 높음을 알 수 있었다. 결론: 본 연구를 통해 골프전공학생 및 골프선수집단이 피부건강을 지키면서 꾸준히 훈련하고 경기력을 향상 시킬 수 있도록 피부건강관리 프로그램의 개발에 대해 제안하는 바이다. 또한 골프전공자들의 각 집단별 자외 선 유해성에 대한 인식도를 토대로 자외선 차단제의 사용에 대한 필요성에 대해 기초적 자료를 제공하고자 한 다. 피부건강관리행동이 자아존중감에 미치는 영향 분석을 통해 각 집단별 피부건강관리행동에 대한 전략을 수립할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine how skin & health care behavior of golf majors affect their self-esteem through understanding the effect of UV on skin. Methods: A survey targeting 400 golf majors of Seoul and Chungcheongbuk-do was conducted to evaluate awareness of sunscreen and the effect of skin & health care behavior on self-esteem according to each athlete group. 344 surveys were analyzed and 56 improper responses were excluded. Results: The results are as follows. First, the study participants were classified into three groups including students majoring in golf, amateur players, and professional players, to investigate general characteristics and skin & health care behavior. Significant differences were presented in each group in almost all features related with skin & health care behavior. Second, concerning hazard awareness of UV and awareness of sunscreen, distinct features were found out in each group: awareness on harmfulness of UV and skin problems such as pigmentation·freckle·age spot (p<.05); blackening phenomena·skin cancer·xeroderma (p<.01); and sunburn·red spot·blister·spot·burn (p<.001). Finally, questionnaires on skin & health care behavior were decomposed into self-management behaviors of skin, cosmetics selection & use, and lifestyle to examine the relationship between skin & health care behavior and self-esteem in each group. Conclusion: As a result, cosmetics selection & use, and lifestyle showed positive relationship with self-esteem in golf students group (p<.05). Moreover, lifestyle showed positive relationship with self-esteem in professional players group (p<.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that skin care behavior in daily lives has positive relationship with self-esteem.
目的: 通过紫外线对皮肤的影响调查高尔夫专业人员的皮肤管理与自我尊重的影响。 方法: 对首尔及忠淸北道所在的400名高尔夫专业人员进行了防晒的程度以及皮肤管理对自我尊重的影响进行问 卷调查。其中除56名虚假作答外,对344名进行了问卷调查分析。研究期间为从2015年6月1日开始到8月20日为 止。 结果: 研究结果如下:第一,研究对象分为三组,高尔夫专业的大学生组、业余选手组及专业选手组,然后分 别调查一般特征及皮肤健康管理。每组对皮肤管理相关的所有问卷都出现了具有统计意义的差异 ; 第二,对各 组进行紫外线的有害认识和防晒的认知度调查结果,高尔夫专业的大学生、业余选手及专业选手对紫外线有害 性及色素沉着、斑、老年斑、嗮黑、皮肤癌、皮肤干燥、日光灼伤、红斑、水泡、斑点、疼痛等皮肤问题都出 现了不同的认识差异。最后为了分析各组的皮肤健康管理和自我尊重之间相互关系,皮肤健康管理问卷调查分 为皮肤自我管理现状,化妆品的选择、使用和生活习惯。其结果在高尔夫专业的大学生组中化妆品的选择及使 用,生活习惯等方面有相当的相互关系,专业选手中的生活习惯与自我尊重也有相互关系。因此在生活中皮肤 健康管理越好自我尊重也越高。 结论: 通过对高尔夫专业的大学生及专业选手的调查研究发现急需开发皮肤健康管理项目,维护自身皮肤健康 管理的同时,刻苦训练,从而提升竞技水平。并得出高尔夫专业人员对紫外线有害性的认识为基础,对使用防 晒品的必要性提供了重要的基础资料。通过分析皮肤健康管理对自我尊重产生的影响从而期待对高尔夫专业人 员建立皮肤健康管理的基本策略。

본 연구는 자외선의 노출이 많은 골프장 환경에서 자외선에 의한 피부 유해성에 대해 고찰하고 이를 통해 골퍼, 캐디, 그린키퍼 등 골프장 야외환경에서 종사하는 근로자의 피부보호를 위한 올바른 정보를 제공하는 데 그 목적 이 있다. 본 연구를 위하여 피부의 생리적인 특징에 대한 고찰과 더불어 자외선이 피부에 미치는 영향, 자외선 차단의 필요성과 골프장과 같은 장시간 야외활동에 따른 피부변화에 관한 선행연구들을 고찰하였다. 이러한 결과 들은 골프장 환경에서 성별 및 연령을 불문하고 자외선으로 인한 피부문제에 대한 경각심을 가지고 보다 적극적 인 피부보호와 관리가 필요하다는 점을 시사하고 있다. 골퍼를 비롯한 캐디와 그린키퍼 등 골프장 야외현장 근무 자들이 자외선의 위험성에 대한 인식을 제고해야 할 것이며, 피부의 유・수분 밸런스 문제 및 피부 트러블, 피부 건조증, 탄력성에 미치는 영향 등을 고려하여 피부관리를 실시하고 피부 건강을 위해 노력해야 할 것이다. 또한 화장품업계는 자외선 노출이 빈번한 다양한 야외환경의 사람들에게 적합한 자외선 차단제품 및 복합제품 개발을 통해 지속적인 교육과 마케팅 활동으로 피부건강을 지킬 수 있는 방안을 모색할 필요가 있다.
The purpose of this review was to suggest information of skin care and protection induced by ultra-violet rays under outdoor golf environment. This study reviewed previous studies focusing on influencing factors to skin, the needs for skin protecting, and skin conditioning followed by outside golf activities. Proper skin protection and care would be needed for anyone plays outside golf and also needed for professionals such as golfers, caddies, coaches, and workers related to golf by providing skin health education. Hence, this would be helpful for all of them by educating skin health and recognizing the importance of skin care. People who needs to have optimal skin care try to manage skin for having slickness, balancing moisture, controlling troubles, avoiding dryness, and having elasticity. The cosmetic companies need to develop newly advanced and compound products for protecting UV rays under various outdoor activities.

This research studied the effect of snake skin and fish scale on blocking the UV light, and it also checked the possibility of developing the natural sun block safe to human body. UV blocking effect of snake skin and fish scale was checked through UV transmission, absorbance measurement, and observation through electron microscope. As a result of these three experiments, snake skin is effective on blocking UV, especially UVB. Surface observed through electron microscope was smooth but had many concave holes; therefore, total reflection occurred on the flat surface, while the light penetrated or scattered inside. Furthermore, as the surface is curved when it covers the snake body, it becomes better structure to reflect the light. Secondly, in order to develop organic sun block, serpent skin extract was used instead of water, and the clinical test for this sun block was performed twice on 6 and 16 people each, thus the safety of serpent skin as a ingredient of sun block was checked. 4 types of herb essential oil were used in order to add as an antiseptic, and Lemon grass had most outstanding effect among those types. As a conclusion, UV blocking effect and harmless to human body of snake skin was proved which shows that it is an adequate ingredient of organic sun screen.

본 연구에서는 자외선 차단제 사용 후 피부에 잔류할 수 있는 금속 산화물 나노 입자를 제거하고, 피부 개선 및 심리적 안정 효과를 제공하기 위해 Disodium EDTA와 아로마 오일을 함유한 리무버를 제조하하였다. 제 조 후 pH, EBT 분석, 항균 시험, 피부 평가, 열화상, EEG, K-POMS 분석을 통해 안전성과 기능성을 검증하였 다. pH는 약산성을 유지하였고, EBT 실험에서 Disodium EDTA가 금속 산화물 나노 입자와 착화 반응을 통해 안정 화됨을 확인하였다. 항균 시험에서 황색포도상구균과 칸디다균 모두에서 클리어 존이 형성되었으며, 피부 분석에 서는 모공, 주름, 색소, 유분이 감소하고 수분과 탄력은 증가하였다. 열화상에서 피부 표면 온도는 평균 1.1℃ 감소 하여 진정 효과가 나타났으며, EEG와 K-POMS 분석에서는 심리적 안정과 스트레스 완화가 확인되었다. 결과적 으로 제조한 제품은 저자극성, 금속 산화물 나노 입자 안정화, 항균 효과, 피부 개선 및 심리적 안정 측면에서 다양한 피부 유형에 안전하게 적용 가능한 제품으로 평가된다.
This study developed a remover containing Disodium EDTA and aroma oils to remove residual metal oxide nanoparticles after sunscreen use and improve skin and psychological well-being. The product maintained a slightly acidic pH and effectively chelated metal oxide nanoparticles in EBT tests. It showed antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans, reduced pore size, wrinkles, pigmentation, and sebum, and increased moisture and elasticity. Thermography indicated a soothing effect, and EEG and K-POMS analyses confirmed stress relief and psychological stabilization. Overall, the product is safe, low-irritant, and effective, suitable for various skin types.

알부틴과 아데노신은 각각 미백, 주름개선에 도움을 주는 기능성화장품원료로서 최근 미백·주름개선 효과가 있는 이중기능성화장품으로 가장 활발하게 사용하고 있는 성분이다. 그러나 알부틴, 아데노신을 각각 함유하는 제품 은 그 기준 및 시험방법이 고시되어 사전심사 면제 대상이나 이중기능성인 당해 제품은 기준 및 시험방법이 확립되 지 않아 사전심사대상으로 시간적 절차적 부담이 있는 점에 착안하여 당해 제품에 대한 합리적이고 과학적인 동시분 석법을 개발하고자 하였다. 그 결과 우수하고 합리적인 시험방법을 개발하였으며 이 분석방법을 알부틴 및 아데노신 을 함유한 미백 및 주름개선 이중 기능성화장품 45종(로션, 크림, 액)에 적용한 결과 표시량의 90.0% 이상에 해당하는 알부틴 및 아데노신이 검출되어 모든 제형에 적용이 가능한 동시분석법임을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통하여, 최 다빈도 처방의 미백 및 주름개선 이중 기능성 화장품 주성분인 알부틴 및 아데노신의 동시분석방법을 확립하여 이를 고시개정에 반영함으로써 해당 제품의 사전심사를 면제하고 보고제로 전환함으로서 이 분야 화장품산업발전에 크게 이바지하고 제품의 분석을 쉽고 간편하게 함으로써 당해 제품의 품질관리 및 품질향상에 크게 기여했다고 사료된다.
Cosmetics giving the beauty and satisfaction to the people become the necessaries of life. The safety of cosmetics are getting important matters due to some safety-related accidents. In order to assure the safety of cosmetics, the Notification on Designation of Cosmetics Ingredients defines the types and compositional limits for some ingredients included in cosmetics. Since such ingredients may cause safety problems, such as skin allergy, they are required to comply with the specifications for composition. Therefore, the KFDA has performed the research and development activities to establish the analytical method for determination of ingredients in cosmetics. Recently KFDA developed simultaneous determination of arbutin and adenosine to assure the safety and quality of cosmetics currently marketed in Korea.

This paper finds out about usage of sunscreen in adult-onset-acne skin types and through the experiment, we have observed the difference in washing methods depending on the mineral UV protection ingredient which is known to have pore obstructivity and sunscreen with various SPF ratings. An advance online survey was conducted to 1,063 men and women with adult-onset-acne skin and aged over 25 years. This online survey was to investigate research subjects general characteristics, sunscreen usage, facial cleansing habit, and recognition on double facial cleansing. Moreover, the amount of residue of titanium dioxide which is mineral UV protection ingredient showing white color in black bioskin plate of skin model and zinc oxide was measured by spectrophotometer through its brightness value depending on the changes of facial cleanser. According to the sunscreen usage research, among 1,036 research subjects, 855 people (82.5%) answered that they are using sunscreen products and 181 people (17.5%) answered that they do not use sunscreen products. They purchased sunscreen products based on internet research and texture and perceived that they need double facial cleansing because of their worries that UV protection ingredients may remain on skin. In regards to the facial cleanser for double facial cleansing, they preferred the combination of cleansing oil and cleansing foam the most. In the bioskin plate test, for removing mineral sunscreen SPF 15, use of cleansing oil alone and double facial cleansing methods were both appropriate but the sole use of cleansing foam was inappropriate. For removing mineral sunscreen SPF 30 and SPF 50, double facial cleansing was the only appropriate method.

This research examines the importance of sunscreen use as well as the public awareness and the use of sunscreen that has become prevalent due to the growth of the sunscreen market, and also the international cosmetics market in regard to the trend of sunscreen and the development of natural domestic materials for them. The current state of sunscreen use and its changes have been examined by looking into the researches on sunscreen from 2010 until now, and by analyzing the trend of the international sunscreen market specifically on i) the use of extracts such as natural and organic materials, ii) the researches on the effects of the raw materials and processing technology on skin, and iii) the emergence of ethical products along with brand image improvement efforts, some of domestic researches on the direction of the domestic sunscreen industry and the development of natural materials in 2012~2013 were reviewed. As a result, the effect of the product containing natural extracts, and its quality as a safe and anti-oxidant product were examined. The sunscreen industry is a promising market with the environmental factors and the increase of aesthetic desire of the public. It is regarded to be necessary for domestic industry to refer to the international flow and regulations in order to internationalize the domestic market as well as to help stabilize it. In addition, it would be necessary to solve the known problems such as stickiness, texture, and white turbidity phenomenon that have been continuously posed as problem by the consumer reviews through R&D, and for the inconvenience that is involved when re-applying the sunscreen, it would be necessary to look for ways to facilitate re-application of sunscreen rather than to increase SPF (Sun Protection Factor) in order to enhance the lasting time of the sunscreen.
Development and Application of New Sunscreen Agent

A new sunscreen agent, methoxycinnamidopropyl polysilsesquioxane (MCP-PSQ), w hich contains an ultraviolet (UV)-absorbing pmethoxycinnamoyl group, has been developed and evaluated. MCPPSQ has composed by polymeric particles, number average size of 600-700 nm, with an organic/inorganic hybrid composition. We investigated the physical characteristics and analyzed organic part of MCP-PSQ in qualitatively and quantitatively. MCP-PSQ is an UVB blocking agent by absorbing of UVB ray, but unlike of other UVB sunscreen agent, UVA/UVB ratio is high with a 0.3 to 0.4, and critical wavelength of 350-360 nm also seems to have characteristics that MCP-PSQ has inorganic properties in addition to regular organic UV-absorbing parts. MCP-PSQ has a raising or boosting effect on the sun protection factor (SPF) of other sunscreen agents.We evaluated photostabilities of MCP-PSQ that has the same functional group as a typical organic sunscreen agent, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate (EHMC). Using the relation of UV absorbance and fluorescence, we studied photostabilizers to enhance the photostability of MCP-PSQ that has the similar photochemical properties to EHMC. We confirmed that octocrylene, ethylhexyl methoxycrylene, and bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine were good photostabilizers for MCP-PSQ.
Lysozyme-mediated synthesis of TiO2-ZnO hybrid metal oxidefor sunscreen cosmetic application

There is a great concern about skin damage such as skin cancer and sunburn caused by the harmful influence of UV radiation (280-400 nm). Inorganic TiO2 is photostable, non-irritant and non- penetrative, thereby becoming a rapidly growing ingredient in the formulation of various sunblock products. However, TiO2 can block only UVB (280-320 nm) and causes the whitening effect. In contrast, ZnO blocks UVA (320-400 nm) efficiently with minimal whitening effect. Therefore, synthesis of ZnO-dopped TiO2 has increasingly been attempted to address the disadvantages of TiO2 based sunblocks. In this study, a novel strategy harnessing lysozyme-mediated biomineralization was demonstrated to synthesize three different types of TiO2-ZnO hybrid metal oxide particles (i.e. Type 1 in core-shell structure with TiO2 core and ZnO shell; Type 2 in core-shell structure with ZnO core and TiO2 shell; Type 3 with TiO2 and ZnO randomly dispersed at a molecular level). Successful synthesis of each type of TiO2-ZnO hybrid metal oxides was confirmed by SEM, TEM, ICP and XRD analyses. Each hybrid metal oxide showed enhanced UV scattering and absorbance for both UVA and UVB compared with similarly sized pure TiO2 and pure ZnO particles. Especially, Type 3 TiO2-ZnO hybrid exhibited significantly higher SPF (Sun Protection Factor) and PFA (Protection factor of UVA) than Type 1 and Type 2. These results suggest that hybridization of TiO2 and ZnO is effective in enhancing UV protection efficiency and that the design of hybrid metal oxide has critical impacts on determining its UV protection performance. In conclusion, the demonstrated novel metal oxide fabrication strategy based on biomineralization proves useful for synthesis of TiO2-ZnO hybrid metal oxides of exquisite structure which otherwise would be difficult to be realized.
Encapsulation of TiO2 sol with Chitosan Shell and Their Sunscreen Behaviors

Encapsulation of TiO2 sol or TiO2 nanoparticles with chitosan shell was conducted to enhance a sun protection for cosmetic preparations. Nanocapsules contained TiO2 were evaluated an UV absorption and UV blocking rate. To obtain the TiO2 sol (TS), titanium isopropoxide was diluted into anhydrous ethanol to obtain 10 wt% solution based on TiO2 in a dehumidified glove box, then the solution was stirred for a day at ambient temperature. The commercial TiO2 (Daegusa, P25) were employed. TS and P25 type were measured by XRD. The TS was composed of entirely an anatase type of TiO2. The particle size of TiO2 contained into TS was below 10 nm. It was considerably smaller than P25 TiO2 particles. The loading amount of titania was determined by TGA. In the nanocapsulation of TiO2 with chitosan, loading efficiencies of the TS and P25 were obtained as 45% and 18%, respectively. The encapsulated TiO2 particles were ranged in 30-100 nm. The TS nanocapsules exhibited a high blocking percent to UV-A up to 97% . The results indicated that this TS loaded chitosan nanocapsules had significantly higher UV protection effects.
항노화화장품의 국내현황과 항노화관심도에 따른 자외선차단제소비성향조사 KCI 등재

본 연구의 목적은 항노화화장품의 국내현황과 항노화관심도에 따른 자외선차단제의 소비성향연구로 최근 피부노화, 화장품관련업계가 항노화산업분야에서 가장 주목을 받고 있으며 현재 개발되고 있는 새로운 유형과 소재의 화장품들 대부분은 노화예방, 항노화에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 특히 광노화로 인한 피부노화예방에 필수적인 자외선차단제는 2008년 이후부터 현재까지 소비성장세에 있음은 업계의 큰 관심과 의미를 부여한다고 볼 수 있으며 이에 따른 실증적 근거를 규명하고 분석하고자 연구를 진행하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 항노화관심도는 외모관심형, 자기중심형, 외모지향형, 건강추구형 4개의 요인으로 결정할 수 있었다. 둘째, 항노화관심도에 따른 자외선인지도의 차이는 자외선에 의한 피부주름 발생 인식, 적절한 자외선차단제지수의 차이는 일상생활의 적절한 SPF지수와 야외 레저용 SPF지수, 일상생활 PA지수, 야외 레저용 PA지수 모두 피부타입에 따른 차이가 있는 것으로 보아 관련성이 있어 향후 자외선차단제의 소비는 더욱 증가할 것으로 보여진다. 셋째, 항노화관심도에 따른 자외선차단제소비성향, 즉, 사용실태와 구매행동을 분류하여 차단제 구매경험, 제품 선택이유, 지속적인 차단제 구매의향, 차단제 구매 시 고려사항, 자외선차단제 구매장소에 대해 조사 분석한 결과 거의 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 통해서 항노화화장품분야는 미래 비즈니스키워드아이템으로 부상한 것임을 재확인 할 수 있었으며 항노화화장품의 소비제품군인 자외선차단제소비성향은 피부노화, 화장품관련업계가 피부노화예방에 필수품이며 현재까지 소비성장세에 있음은 업계의 큰 관심과 의미를 가지며, 제품 자료 활용과 보다 폭넓은 분석으로 연구의 영역을 확장시키고 다양한 분석으로 본 연구의 결과를 일반화시키고 활용할 수 있기를 바란다.
Recently the skin aging and cosmetics related industry got the attention in the anti-aging industrial field as the sunblock propensity to consume research according to the domestic status of the anti-aging cosmetics and anti-aging concern degree. And the cosmetics majority of the new meterial and type could focus on the antiaging and anti-aging and the sunblock which is essential to the anti aging skin because of the photoaging was in the consumption growth till now, particularly, it can give the great interest of the business field and meaning since 2008 and progressed the research so that the object of this research could investigate the positive basis according to this and analyze. The result of the research is as follows. First, the anti-aging concern degree could determine by the appearance concern, and pursuit of health 4 factors. Second, because the difference of the ultraviolet rays recognition according to the anti-aging concern degree looks at and that there is altogether the difference according to the skin type with the inappropriate SPF index number of the daily life and fields leisure SPF index number, daily life PA index number, and fields leisure PA index number the skin wrinkle generation awareness by the ultraviolet rays and difference of the inappropriate sunblock index number have the correlation and it seems to increase the consumption of the sunblock more afterward. Third, the sunblock propensity to consume according to the anti-aging concern degree, that is, it was exposed to have the effect that it classified the reality of usage and purchasing behavior and the blocking agent purchase experience, the product reason for selection, continued blocking agent purchase intention, and result of investigating and analyze in the blocking agent purchase about the consideration and blocking agent purchase place note nearly. In the anti-aging beauty product field through the result described in the above, it could reconfirm and to emerge as the future business keyword item the skin aging and cosmetics related industry is the necessary on the anti aging skin and the consumer product soldier sunblock propensity to consume of the anti-aging cosmetics is in the consumption growth till now, it has the great interest of the business field and purport. And the area of the research can be extended to the wider analysis with product data application and the result of this research can be generalized and utilized as the various analyses.

Objectives Effects of nanoparticles including zinc oxide nanoparticles, titanium oxide nanoparticles, and their mixtures on skin corrosion and irritation were investigated by using in vitro 3D human skin models ($KeraSkin^{TM}$) and the results were compared to those of an in vivo animal test. Methods Skin models were incubated with nanoparticles for a definite time period and cell viability was measured by the 3-(4, 5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2.5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide method. Skin corrosion and irritation were identified by the decreased viability based on the pre-determined threshold. Results Cell viability after exposure to nanomaterial was not decreased to the pre-determined threshold level, which was 15% after 60 minutes exposure in corrosion test and 50% after 45 minutes exposure in the irritation test. IL-$1{\alpha}$ release and histopathological findings support the results of cell viability test. In vivo test using rabbits also showed non-corrosive and non-irritant results. Conclusions The findings provide the evidence that zinc oxide nanoparticles, titanium oxide nanoparticles and their mixture are 'non corrosive' and 'non-irritant' to the human skin by a globally harmonized classification system. In vivo test using animals can be replaced by an alternative in vitro test.
In Vivo Skin Micronuckeus Evaluation of Sunscreen Ingredients in Rabbits
