In the network forensic area, it is well known that the payload attribution system enables to investigate cybercrimes on the Internet, such as tracing the spread of worms and viruses, identifying who has sent a phishing e-mail. There are many kinds of method for the payload attribution system. Among them, WBS scheme tends to generate the different similarities according to the position of change. In this paper, we propose a new payload similarity measurement scheme to resolve the problem. The main idea is to append an inverse WBS process into the existing WBS architecture. Our experimental results show that the similarity is getting to be even regardless of the position of change with all of similarity measurement parameters. The proposed method also shows higher similarity than that of HBF one.

While in the past, the paradigm of digital smart-learning contents was simply focused on efficiency of processing and delivery of information, today the focus has shifted toward more immediate, intuitive, real, and natural flow learning contents such as virtual reality and augmented reality. In other words, effort is being made to provide more realistic digital contents to learners with improved flow and interest. Augmented reality is next-generation media that can induce improved flow from learners by integrating real world and virtual world in a natural way, and has shown possibility as a new smart learning media with increased flow and satisfaction of learners. Therefore, in this study, the positive effect of characteristics of augmented reality on improvement of flow and satisfaction of smart learning in developing smart learning content was examined. The result showed that augmented reality has a significant effect on the learning flow and satisfaction of smart learners. In the future, more media research for various smart learning environments will be needed, and this study can help develop smart-learning contents.

In this paper, we present a hybrid render farm which can accommodate cloud-based rendering servers to extend the rendering capacity of a local cluster render farm. A rendering workload in real world tends to highly fluctuate, so it is very common for an on-premise cluster to be overloaded. However, running a rendering job on a remote cloud has a few challenging issues: input data synchronization and complex infrastructure management. Our proposed RenderVerse can overcome mentioned obstacles with an application-aware caching scheme coupled with a repository and a hierarchical server node management.

Availability of finite set of alternative solution for any problem tends to make decision making an inevitable part of today’s opportunistic world. Generally Decision making is made based on various perspectives like psychological, cognitive, normative means. In all situations Cost-Benefit analysis forms the key reason for decision making. Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods make the analysis of highly complex system much easier. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is one of the popular MCDM methods which works on priority theory. AHP is modeled in such a way that the experts make pairwise comparison of all available alternatives and rank them accordingly. This study identifies the application of AHP on various fields like web service selection, web development platform, selecting a website for online advertisement, banking and many. And finally this study identifies various methodologies to rank the alternatives in AHP method and try to associate its applicability with various other MCDM methods.

There are many researches on going about defining composite refactorings by composing component refactorings, as refactoring is studied very actively recently. To compose various kinds of composite refactorings, we need a certain kind of language to define the composite refactoring. But existing researches do not have various kinds of refactoring composition methods and the studies about refactoring composition languages are also insufficient. Therefore in this paper, we define composite refactorings by assembling component refactorings. To do this, first we propose a method on how to specify elementary refactorings. Second we design a refactoring composition language which will be used to define composite refactorings.

Software testing is a vital activity during software production to detect faults and to guarantee that the software is working properly as per the requirements.Regression testing is an activity that is carried out during the maintenance phase to ensure the quality and reliability after altering the existing version of the software. There are many techniques for performing regression testing. They are re-test all, test case minimization, test case selection and test case prioritization. The aim of this paper is to select a subset of test cases which should be run when there are siginificant changes in the original program. To extract the subset of test cases, a novel method is adopted in this research which uses executable backward static slicing. The program slices are converted into abstract syntax tree and then compared using modified simple tree matching algorithm to obtain the subset of test cases. It is clear from the result obtained that this method is very significant.

The cloud environment is currently expanding rapidly, from its uses by individuals on standard computer devices to the mobile arena. Service providers for cloud computing are mutually exclusive, but their practices and protocols tend to influence each other, and this is referred to as a hybrid cloud environment. There are many of the types of services, software, and resources used and operated in the hybrid cloud environment, and the differences in defining and formatting data causes various problems in exchanging that data. We are proposing a specific document format for exchanging data as a means to solve the aforementioned issue. In short, we are suggesting the application of mapping techniques from data expression and new standards for document-oriented databases.

This paper deals with the study of four-dimensional automata. Recently, due to the advances in many application areas such as dynamic image processing, computer animation, augmented reality (AR), and so on, it is useful for analyzing computation of four-dimensional information processing (three-dimensional pattern processing with time axis) to explicate the properties of four-dimensional automata. From this point of view, we have investigated many properties of four-dimensional automata and computational complexity. On the other hand, the class of sets accepted by probabilistic machines have been studied extensively. As far as we know, however, there is no results concerned with four-dimensional probabilistic machines. In this paper, we introduce four-dimensional probabilistic finite automata, and investigate some accepting powers of them.

Establishing entities is a critical step in the data modeling process, but one problem is that the objects of all the entities are ambiguously defined, except for the things that can be intuitively observed. This paper suggests an approach to the observation of events rather than things, which happen momentarily, as objects of entities. For this purpose, a philosophical approach that assigns an ontological status to events is taken in this study. Approaching events themselves as objects of entities will facilitate interoperability at the entity level, and the opening of public data in different corporate data models.

Human being are greatly inspired by nature. Nature has the ability to solve very complex problems in its own distinctive way. The problems around us are becoming more and more complex in the real time and at the same instance our mother nature is guiding us to solve these natural problems. Nature gives some of the logical and effective ways to find solution to these problems. Nature acts as an optimizer for solving the complex problems. In this paper, the algorithms which are discussed imitate the processes running in nature. And due to this these process are named as “Nature Inspired Algorithms”. The algorithms inspired from human body and its working and the algorithms inspired from the working of groups of social agents like ants, bees, and insects are the two classes of solving such Problems. This emerging new era is highly unexplored young for the research. This paper proposes the high scope for the development of new, better and efficient techniques and application in this area.

In Korea, the guideline for operating education on information technology was repealed in 2008 and as a result, opportunities for students to receive computing education came to gradually decrease. However, in a situation where the importance of the software industry is emphasized, such weakening of computing education has caused a lot of concerns. An argument that computing education should be strengthened in order to heighten the competitiveness of the software industry has been strongly raised in the industrial world as well as in the academic world. At present, diverse social support for strengthening computing education is actively unfolding in Korea. Affected by advanced countries' cases, the desire of the academic world, and social support, the curriculum for 2015 will be revised to strengthen computing education in Korea. Korea's computing education has met a new turning point coming out of decline. This study paid attention to diverse social support campaigns as a major factor to trigger positive changes in Korean computing education and presented policy measures to strengthen computing education by analyzing such social support in terms of computing education.

This paper presents a multi-sensor color image interpolation algorithm. Color filter array consists of three primary colors: red, green, and blue. Green component has twice more information than that of red or blue components. The missing green components are estimated based on the color channel difference along various edge directions. Then, red and blue components are calculated using pre-interpolated green components. It can be found from the simulation results section that iterative process and inter-channel scheme provided satisfactory results. We used three objective color metrics which proved our method’s feasibility. The visual performance comparison was conducted for subjective performance assessment. From all the comparison shown above, it can be concluded that the proposed method required less computations while providing better performance.

Optimized task scheduling is one the most important factors to achieve high-performance in multiprocessor environments such as parallel and distributed systems. In such architectures, each program is decomposed into the smaller dependent segments so-called tasks. To formulate the problem, execution times of tasks, precedence constrains and communication costs among them are modeled using a directed acyclic graph (DAG) named task graph. The goal is to minimize the program completion-time (makespan) by means of mapping the tasks to the identical processors in such a way that precedence constrains are preserved. This problem is shown to be NP-hard in general form, and hence, a number of heuristic approaches to solve it have been introduced. A large number of proposed approaches in the literature use list-scheduling technique in which a list of tasks is created based on some priority measurements, and then in each step, the most priority task in the list is selected to schedule on the processor that allows the earliest start time (EST) until all tasks are scheduled. In this paper, we survey five different list-scheduling approaches namely HLFET, ISH, MCP, ETF and DLS from the different points of view, and describe the strategies and philosophies behind them. In addition, a comprehensive set of experiments and evaluations has been done, and different results and conclusions have been presented.

Good putting is one of the most important factors for a good golf score because putting accounts for over 40% of strokes per round. In this paper, I proposed an automatic analysis method of golf putting using a Kinect. In the method, useful 3D putting parameters are extracted from both player body parts and putter club movement. For automatic analysis, four key putting frames are extracted and putting analysis is done in and between those key frames. I tested the proposed method on 20 putting data and found automatic analysis is done successfully. The proposed method is meaningful in three ways. First, automatic 3D putting analysis is possible without human intervention or marker attachment. Second, various putting parameters are analyzed for both body parts and putter club movement, whereas most previous works focused on putter movement. Third, cheap and easy putting analysis is possible using a Kinect.

Currently, security requirements are defined at system levels in software engineering projects as system quality requirements. Later on system engineers must identify such system requirements into software requirements. It will be assigned to system software to conform to security at software and hardware requirements. For instance, a number of security requirements concepts and terms are described by IEEE, ISO and ECSS international standards and explained at different stages of requirements at the system, software and hardware levels. This paper assembles and systematizes these candidate security-related descriptions into a requirements model for the specification of software functional user requirements assigned from additional system security non-functional requirements. These models structure is made using the ISO-19761 international standard model of software requirements, which accept the new model to measure the functional size of software functionality and non-functionality of security systems.

In the past several years, the metadata management technologies have matured for searching and processing data saved in numerous storage resources in a distributed environment based e-infrastructure. AMGA is the metadata catalog service technology based on grid; thus, it is being widely leveraged as an essential element in various environments including grid. In recent days, the single package of gLite, UNICORE, ARC and dCache middleware component, which contains an individual distributed environment, was developed through the EMI project of EU FP7 program. AMGA also conducted the compatibility development with the other components within EMI through the official software of EMI. This thesis discusses about the implementation of AMGA for middleware-interoperability according to EMI policies and strategies; the information sharing on software use; and the measure to facilitate AMGA utilization in an effective way.
